I need help in making a decision about rs.
nerdattack16 replied to gummibaerian's topic in Help and Advice
Bah, this'll probably get locked. Account selling/trading/giving is against the rules. -.- -
Basically, what he said. Aggressive raises my max by 1, while I seem to hit more with accurate. I'm not quite sure about defensive, I don't get hit by minotaurs much anyways... :-s
-
Actually, there's no set "no-burn" level for monkfish. But you look like you're going to do sharks anyways, so... this is spam? Uh... good luck! :P

Items needed for Barrows - Coming from F2P.
nerdattack16 replied to rusty_073's topic in Help and Advice
Well, you'd need prayer pots. That's the costly part, really. Normally 7-8K each, although it's a bit cheaper to buy 4-dose prayer potions for 10k each and get the same amount of doses cheaper. Quick example: 80 (3) prayer potions = 8K each = 640K. 60 (4) prayer potions = 10K each = 600K. Unless you find (3) doses for 7K each or less. And you'll need runes, of course. The ideal Barrows spell is Slayer Dart (50 magic + 55 slayer) as the minds and deaths required are obtainable from chests - free spells FTW. But You can always use something like Fire Blast, Air Wave, or Fire Bolt with Chaos Gauntlets. As for food, just fish the best you can bring, preferably lobsters or higher. If you want to buy it, then go for monkfish. Heal 16 and are about 300-350 each. Pretty good, in my opinon. And some melee armor and a weapon for the tunnels. A whip is perfect, dragon scimitar is second-best. Ranged gear is necessary for Ahrim. D'hide and a bow, and adamant or rune arrows. Heck, a crystal bow or Karil's crossbow works as well, but they can probably get pricey. Until you start getting the hang of Barrows, or get confident in your mage skills, or get Slayer Dart, you should probably wear magic-boosting clothes. Mystic is perfect, and only 200K too. There are plenty of guides for Barrows in the AOW. Bah, I typed a lot. Hope it helps. :) -
Yeah, requirements like that, and wielding weapons and such, require you to have the base level to use - the number on bottom. Stat-boosting potions wouldn't work. Sadly. I could pot to a whip... only 69K XP until 70 though. Bah.

Uh, nope, nothing else. What you're fishing and your level. Unless you drink a fishing potion or something.

Fire Cape on 1st try.
nerdattack16 replied to lordfan21's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
That's not him. He's the one in the Prayer cape. Nice hax there! Grats on the cape. :P Oops! My bad! Congrats on the cape! *gives apology cookie* -
Bah, humbug. Oh well, thanks for answering.

Fire Cape on 1st try.
nerdattack16 replied to lordfan21's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Congrats! But... how are you both wearing a Fire Cape, and holding one in your inventory? More hacks? -
Well, I probably stopped burning for the most part around 50-55 cooking. think I remember burning one or two salmon every 4-5 runs to the range at about 50 cooking.
-
Can you make teletablets with Lunar/Ancients teleports? And if so, do you need to have done the quests to unlck said magics to use the tablets?
-
Well, I'm at 62 cooking and I haven't burned a trout or salmon in many, many levels.
-
Sounds good, but every F2Per and their cousin has done all the quests. The quest capes would be as common as the SoS boots or the F2P scammer/autoer/moron. (Hee hee. :P )

Man, it's hard to decide. Both sides actually have nice arguments. I personally would love a few more spaces in my bank. I'm constantly switching between wearing my mime, camo, and lederhosen sets, which take up a lot of space - at least 9 if I'm doing combat. And I will never, ever, ever throw away any of those clothes. Ever. Ever. Never. But... I just thought about it, and I can junk my frog stuff since I don't wear it at all. Heh heh. And my pots and buckets, even though I use them to make pizza. And maybe that skull sceptre. And I don't fish pike much, so that's three spaces gone for pike and supplies for it. See? You can always find stuff you don't need in your bank. Well, mostly always. And I might have somewhat of a solution. So, you can't store everything for all skills at once, so, switch out your bank. Let's say you want to skill awhile. Sell your armor, weapons, food if you're not fishing, pots, arrows, runes, etc. Buy it back later. The same for if you're only mining a lot of different ores, fishing different fishes, etc. Just sell what takes room and buy back what you need later. Personally, even though I'd love a huge bank space increase -- wouldn't we all, though? -- I have to say that overall, Jagex has no reason to give us more space. And I'm pretty cool with that. One of the consequences of not paying for the game. At least we don't have to pay now, and we still get enough. We're quite blessed to get a free version, in my opinion. But if I become a member again, it certainly wouldn't be for that bank increase. It'd be for Barrows and quests! :P Although bank space is nice. :D

You are on the way to destruction o_O

Always have my mime boots and gloves on, as well as my purple cape and wooden shield. I switch a lot between my camo, lederhosen, and mime sets. :P Generally I wield an air staff, fire staff, or skull sceptre, depending on what I'm doing at the time. I used to walk around in my basic clothes, power amulet, red gloves, purple cape, rune scimitar. I like my clothes.
-
Dude, I once killed the Giant Mole with stats about like that. Just bring some food, and maybe a dose or two of prayer potion if you're not too confident. Just pray 'till you're empty and keep on whacking away. I guess attack/strength potions would help, but it's not important.
-
Well, you can "Burthope it" by talking to the Slayer master in Burthope. Generally you get a much easier task. But it only works if he's not already your Slayer master.

What in the world? (changing screens, action stops)
nerdattack16 replied to lostdreamer3's topic in Help and Advice
Just a bit of lag? Happens to me sometimes, everything kinda freezes. -
The reward is a pair of gloves! Isn't that lovely?! Meh, sounds boring. But they do neat stuffs! When you do all the easy stuff, they lower buying prices and raise selling prices in Tz-Haar stores. Medium increases the XP gives by Agility Arena tickets. Hard... umm... oh yeah. It gives you access to a gem mine under Shilo Village. Not sure how to get there though. Meh.

I've gotten a diamond, a steel platebody (both alch for 1200gp, weird), a flier, and a cabbage. So yeah, you can get decent stuff.

! I NEED HELP WITH DEFEATING LV 111 MONSTERS! HELP ME!
nerdattack16 replied to Quinton595's topic in Help and Advice
You need protect from melee to avoid wastage of food through marim dungeon, also needed when you enter the temple and run through lv 149 apes. Well, yeah, but if pures with 1 prayer and defence could run through that stuff, then him with whatever defence he has could do it. Just hide under the ledges when the screen shakes. And bring good food and a few energy potions for the rest. A few prayer potions for the final fight. -
Really? Bah, it sounded fun to do. Well, I'd rather do more effective Barrows runs anyways. I was planning on getting Slayer dart eventually, actually. More cost-effective than Fire Bolt with Chaos Gauntlets :) Unless someone wants to differ on that answer, I think I'm done here. Oh, and if this matters at all, I'm totally not a members/Barrows noob. I've done at least 20 runs (Verac's flail FTW) and I've had 2 months of membership. Monkey Madness FTW.
