For the "barrows" gloves, yes. I don't know about the dragon gloves, you may just have to beat all the miniquests and get up to the part where you have to fight the Culinomancer.

It's hard to buy for 30ea nowadays, you may have to go higher, like to 40 each. For just 3k of it, that shouldn't be that big of a problem. Otherwise, try world hopping in all f2p worlds between 1 and 11, check both Varrock banks.

Very good "tips", I'm not sure whether this belongs in the "skills" or the "monster killing/tips" section of the PMG, I guess either is fine. Most of the tips are very astute observations, I don't agree with all of them, but most of them are excellent. 8/10

I'm going out on a limb and saying that, if you use them at PC, you would need at least 8k. I don't know if this number is even close to accurate, but you figure hitting around 6 monsters at the same time, doing an average of 8 damage, 6*8=48, times 4 exp per damage = 192 exp per chinchompa. You need 1.8m exp to get 99, sooo... It's actually a little more, approx. 9,375. BUT you're also collecting PC points during that time, which you can use to train ranged as well, so yeah, around 8k. I was right the first time!

I'm cutting willows to 99 right now, and the switch from a rune axe to a dragon axe was a noticeable difference. I have heard it increases speed by 2.5%, maybe I'm wrong. It seemed to increase by at least 10%, probably more.

Check your bank to make sure you don't have any clues in there. And just keep going, it's random. The only thing that will affect a clue drop is whether you have one already.

Well, you can't use guthans in the dungeon, and selling and re-buying your noted food from the store outside the dungeon takes too long, so bones to peaches is the best to my knowledge... Yes, Bones to Peaches is best for camping down there. If you have the Construction lvl, make them into tablets. You obviously can't use barrows down there, so you have no costs to worry about except reimbursing your runes. Which you should be able to cover. So basically, you'll break even, at least.

Since you don't need anything in your hands, why not bring a magic butterfly net and a couple jars? You might get something good, and it never hurts to have that stuff. It's what I wield when I'm hunting red chinches in the jungle.

Being able to click on the map and have it load the bestiary is best, though I suggest a little tweaking to make sure that the link is centered on the dot denoting the monster.

He obviously wasn't trying to scam you, as he didn't log as soon as the trade was complete. If he was just trading to get rich, he wouldn't have tried to wield it. You scammed him, not the other way around. And wrong forum.

This is exactly why I made this thread. I have several friends who base the excellence of a game on the graphics it has. Needless to say, they play World of Warcraft. Thus, if RS were able to rival WoW as far as graphics go, we would have tons more players.

That may be because the f2p altars are all above ground, on the surface where they can actually be marked on a map. You'll notice: Cosmic altar: in an extra-dimensional world Chaos altar: underground in a four-level maze Nature altar: above ground Astral altar: above ground Law altar: above ground Death altar: somewhere in the mazes of MEpt2. So you see, 1/2 the p2p altars can't really be mapped on the atlas.

I don't know how many of you have played World of Warcraft of Neverwinter Nights, or Guild Wars, or any other MMORPG for that matter. No doubt, if you have played these games, you've noticed the astoundingly realistic graphics in those games. Now imagine if you could couple RuneScape's depth with those graphics - cool, right? What would the barrows tunnels look like in hi-def graphics? What about the wilderness, or Keldagrim? Or even better, Meiyerditch, the Vampyre city? Now my question to you is: would you be willing to pay a one-time fee of, say $20 or $40 to buy the game, much like you would buy WoW or NWN, to be able to have those graphics in RS? I know I would, but I want to know what you guys think. So post away, and please don't say "Oh, that'll never happen, it's a Java-based game." This thread is purely hypothetical, which is why I didn't post it in the "Suggestions" forum. EDIT: changed from "Javascript" to "Java" by popular request.

The best way to kill trolls is, of course, a cannon. Their low defence means your cannonballs will rip into them. Yak hide and round shield come from the "Fremennik Isles" quest, you learn how to make both of them there.

Wow. I've seen plenty of guides with lots of words and no pictures, but never one (until now) that had too many pictures and not enough text. This is pretty well known, and the camera rotation is more of a tip that will shave off maybe a second or two from each run. To make it a guide, add some information like how much money you can make per hour doing this, how much exp you can get per load then per hour, stuff like that. 3/10.

You have to go to Bob in Lumbridge to get them repaired (alternatively, you could repair them yourself at a POH), or use them until they're completely degraded. The reason is that you can't trade Barrows items unless they are either fully repaired or fully degraded.
