The Future of Basketball/NBA
We can dream. :lol: I think some of it will come down to his own attitude though, which right now is said to not be great.

Anybody know a good site to start a free forum?

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story *Spoilers*
It didn't really feel like a real movie to me because of the whole 3 episodes strung together thing, but I still liked it a lot. The Feurus Bueler's (sp) day off reference was really funny.

Prayer ring/item idea
that basicly takes the point of getting 99 prayer away ... yay who needs to train pray when we can use a ring!!!! woot woot Prayer pots also take away the need of 99 prayer. There's the x amount your level is subtracted from 99 original bonus, but if you've got an inventory full of them a lvl 99 prayer doesn't have much of a benefit over any lvl 60 prayer.

Hurricane Rita
So is this one supposed to be worse than Katrina? :shock: I hope that it doesn't really hit any heavily populated area directly. I was in Galveston in August, and it really is a nice place. The island was ruined once from a hurricane before. I'm just hoping things don't turn out as bad as they could. When I was in Galveston I went to Moody Gardens: Besides obviously wishing the best for everyone who lives there, I hope those glass pyramids don't get destroyed. One's a huge aquarium, but the other is a rainforest sanctuary. I know in New Orleans all the fish at an aquarium died, which is a bummer (Edit - Turns out most animals in MG were evacuated). Uh, I'm going way off topic about animals where the main concern is that people are going to be safe. Luckily, things are going much better evacuation wise in Galveston, so there should be MUCH less casualties.

Plane landed safely in LAX
Anyone know exactly how the thing turned 90 degrees? It did look like they'd have some trouble landing with this big stub now hanging in the way, but the precision of how the pilots landed right in the middle of the lane was excellent. It looked for a minute that that while was really going to cause some fire to catch, but the plane slowed down and the wheel pretty much got burned off from all the friction.

Nintendo Revolution's...Controller
Yeah, we're all going to look like "the star wars kid" waving those things around. :lol: Also, with it being wireless and all, I'm wondering how stores will set up that wireless controller for people to use.

Goblet of fire new trailer
Real close to the end, can anyone tell who that hooded alien looking guy is? Also, could I get a reminder from anyone who read the books of the significance of those fish people (I think they were in the tournament?), the people from the north that came, and those ladies in blue?

Nintendo Revolution's...Controller
It looks good, but I can't make any real judgement until I see how it is used in a game. Either way, I'm taking the Nintendo road. I doubt the jumping up and down thing would be a problem, it's probably not designed that way, and Nintendo probably had that in mind. And for games designed for multiconsoles, Nintendo did say they are releasing a controller attachment like the gamecube's in style. I'm just hoping it will come packaged in with the system or controllers you buy. Not for my own sake, but for the survival of this system so it doesn't go overly off the track compared to the other 2 systems. Just gotta hope this round N will actually catch up in sales.

Oh what the hell!? I've been violated!
Yeah, knowing someone is running around the net with your name isn't the best feeling in the world. With runescape, I play as AJL221893, and have had that as my name for just about everything, except I wanted a less confusing name for tip it, so I chose Adam007. Then someone on runescape registers it. I find him some day walking around, and he tells me he gets angry at all the people asking him questions thinking he's from tip it, and usually just ignores/yells at them. Oh well, gotta deal with it. They're not gonna change their name just because someone else had it before.

Prayer ring/item idea
It's pretty simple. The ring lasts for 15 hours or so, and while you have it equipped, except in the wilderness, you can use any non-protective or any of the 3 new prayers as long as you want. It would be useful for training to have increased stats (the 15% boosts) or for a constant protect item, if you're training using any barrows set (especially dharoks) so you wouldn't lose any part of the set, or just any item in general, so you don't need to worry as much if you're reading forums or something while training. Obviously have it not work in the wild so pkers wouldn't lose a whip. As to how you get it, it could be a topaz/jade/opal type ring you could make, or a ring like the charos ring that you get from a quest. You just have it equipped, and through some connection thru the prayer gods or whatever, it allows continuous use of one type of those prayers.

A CHANGE SHOULD BE MADE!(closed)
We do get holiday themed npc's giving out items. Santa and the Easter bunny to name two. I can't tell, but are you proposing that those Halloween guys give out the masks dropped years ago? I don't know why you would make a rant about that, but it's not going to happen.

Gas Prices
That's what I used to think was obvious to do. Except you can't exactly store it, and even if you do find a place for it in your basement or something in some type of containers, there's the huge risk of it blowing up. On the news they were saying people were frantically filling up small containers with gas, and went on explaining how that was bad for everyone else who buys gas. It lowers the supply, and only increases costs for everyone else.

Hurricane Katrina
If New Orleans is going to be rebuilt, it has to be cleaned. There's debris everywhere. You can't just build buildings without clearing out all of the trash. I can't even fathom how much work it will take, but I'm sure N.O. will get rebuilt. People will want to live there. Granted, a lot of people won't go back because they realise it's not worth it to risk their house to another natural disaster, but a lot of people attach a huge sentimental value to a city, and are going to want to stick with it.

Hurricane Katrina
Most recent news is that it destroyed part of the Superdome's roof, it weakened to a level 3 now, and it's estimated to cost $25 billion in destruction.

My Solution to Smithing and Other Problems
Because then we'd have pures again. People easily buying cheap rune while at 1-10 defense, and having a really high defense bonus, while still having a low def level, if that makes sense. Back in rsc it was more clear towards why.

Google Talk
You can get it here: http://www.google.com/talk/ It was just released today. You need a gmail account to sign on. I doubt it'll make any impact into the AIM/MSN/Yahoo portion of instant messengers, but I like it. The audio is really clear for me, and the layout is really simple. It's pretty plain and there aren't really any features, but I heard they'll be added eventually. So here's google's next step. From being a search engine, to an email provider, to having all these maps, and now it's own instant messenger.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
I've heard about that awhile ago, didn't know it still went on. The person who told me about it said like for every line the audience did something, and they all brought like a bag of random things for parts of it. Like they'd throw the things in their bag like rice or whatever at certain lines. Sounds pretty fun if you're in the right mood for it.

The biggest badest boss ever?
I can't really remember. I just love the feeling of finally beating it, and remembering back to your first attempt thinking how impossible it would be to do. I don't like those ones you eventually beat by finding out their pattern though. Not a big enough challenge.

~~~ New Random Events with pics ~~~
Oh, I wouldn't say that. The dwarf clothes update brought upon a wave of skimpy girls and cross dressing guys - or at least guys dressed up in hotpants and tight small shirts. Close enough to cross dressing, and just as unpleasant.
How many ppl actually laugh out loud when typing <lol>
I can only remember like once or twice actually laughing out loud, and typing lol. I usually just use it like everyone else, acknowledging someone saying something funny, or to show that I'm not serious. And I only use lol and heh. Never ROFL or LMAO or anything like that. I think those are annoying.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (SPOILERS WITHIN)
After I made my post supporting why I didn't think DD really died, I eventually just came to terms that he was probably dead. But reading that site once again made me think otherwise. There are just so many ways and reasons that DD could have somehow not died. It's an interesting read for anyone who read the book already, that link.
