Ouchy's F2P Guide To Firemaking And Woodcutting! ~ FIXED ~
Lore replied to Ouchy's topic in General Guides
My fault. I mistook what he said in my original reply. Troaccid was saying it is better for everyone if you can keep the trees respawning one after the other. I was saying it is better for you if you go find a tree on your own, because you will get more logs faster. ie. I'm selfish -

This gets me angry. Runescape is by no means coasting. Have a little faith =) -
Ouchy's F2P Guide To Firemaking And Woodcutting! ~ FIXED ~
Lore replied to Ouchy's topic in General Guides
Back when I was f2p, the yews at edgeville were always slowest when there were eight people on the same tree. Nowadays I get a willow consistently every three 'hits'. When a second person starts cutting the tree I can often wait 6 or 9 hits before getting a log. I also don't think having more people cutting a tree makes it stay alive longer, simply based on my own experiences. I respect your level, but I also respectfully think you're wrong -
This is why we can't have nice things.

-.- My bank totals 15m if I sold everything.. That times article was right, RS is f'd for skillers. Think i'm gonna get psi to teach me to DK

I don't pk personally, but I can see Tipit getting together in the w99 community spirit.

I just looked through the updated guide and didn't see any of my places so what are you talking about? I'm sorry, it appears i was a bit overzealous using you as an example. It was simply your post that I saw last as I read through, and assumed yours was added in -
11. The number of hours of firemaking until I can get an adze.
-
Wow that was a long day. When I get to 92, I'll grab that Adze and continue my woodcutting goal. It all feels so close but still so far, and I'm a little worried I'll have trouble adjusting to the 1/3 exp rate of woodcutting vs. firemaking.. I've been listening to tech podcasts to pass the time. It's amazing how much I now know about american business & politics. Quite fun :) Also got these the two days before (It's 5am and I haven't slept yet, so technically two days. Only feels like one though) Oh, and now I've got 60+ summoning, I decided to raise my raven. Turns out after all the wait, the baby raven only has one sentence.. Still, the fully grown one is soooooooo cool. It's inspired me to start a miniproject taking pictures of all the dialogue of all the pets. (I have no idea if i'll ever have another baby raven though).

Not really. I don't think he's maintaining this guide anymore though.

Ouchy's F2P Guide To Firemaking And Woodcutting! ~ FIXED ~

I'm with kent. A good guide needs to find a useful balance between the basics and the little tricks. Any idiot can figure out how to cut willows, Jagex will make sure of that for you. You can assume the average user on tipit understands the difference between an oak log and a yew log. I'm with kent. The way I see it you have way to much basic information, and not enough useful material. For example, the spot you included from ssdm is almost entirely useless. The section on trees is relevant, but almost stupidly basic. You have a whole section on what to wear which can be summarised as an axe & lightweight gear. You may want to show off your trimmed mage gear, but no-one else is reading the guide to watch you brag. I think i've criticized the language before, it still seems childish, but that's your guide, your style, not my problem. You should probably spend alot more time woodcuting, perhaps learn the skill alot better. It's the little things that people read a guide for. Those little tips that give them more knowledge than the average player. For example, a player is cutting logs at draynor and having a heck of a time getting any. Your guide needs to be able to tell them that this is because there are many people cutting the tree, that their chance of getting a log is significantly lower than the player 8 or 9 levels higher than them, and that they don't have to world swap but just use one of the two lower trees which are usually empty. Now I'm not saying that that's the perfect example, but it includes three little facts that would help anybody trying to train their woodcutting at draynor. I hope this doesn't sound too harsh, and that you take it on board rather than the 'I'm retired' excuse. Good luck : -
Blog links in siggy ftw =) Good luck with your goals, specially that Sara Godsword

Easily one of the best guides on Tipit 101%

To improve, definitely include a mage method. On your equipment lists, perhaps remove the >nothing 's, just neatens and simplifies it a little. Lastly, try to use screenshots taken at standard size (non-fullscreen) rather than fullscreen ones. Even if it means clicking out of fs just to take the screenshot, it makes it alot easier on the readers. Not much use having pics of drops taking up more space than your guide. That's all the constructive criticism I have atm, great guide =)

Now I need to go back to slayer.. Only another 1500 Crimsons to 70 (Don't know whether that's good or bad :/ )

Thanks hartlar =) I'm not claiming to have a 'great' bank, but to those who would rate it low - why? What would you see improved? Is it simply a case of who can have the most money? A party hat set? A few masks or a cracker? That's not how I play rs, so does it say more about how you play then how I do? Blegh Jus' wondering :) -
This definitely deserves a bump. The information isn't available anywhere else. I'm wondering why this isn't AOW'd, or even part of a tip.it site guide The only inaccuracy I found reading through it was that you need to maintain your favour at 100%, not just refill it before you collect.

I like to consider myself organised.. Also, I need to show psi how to organize one's bank. He's got a thread here (http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=763357) I have no idea what it's worth, and I can't be bothered price-checking that much. There's too much slightly valuable stuff for it to be practical. Edit: Started calculating value of each tab Tab 1 : 4,982,267 Tab 2 : 11,272,208 I'll do more if I feel like it
