The Trojan isn't the problem anymore. As far as I know (from what others with the same problem have said) is that Norton AV 2007 successfully got rid of all of the viruses I had but a bug in the program itself is causing my computer to fail.
-
I have just a few more questions. My problem has proceeded even though I've tried various ways of getting rid of it. I figure I'm probably going to have to uninstall and ask for a refund. First of all, is uninstalling and getting a refund the best solution as of now or does someone know a way of fixing it or just some alternative solution? My second question is: If I do uninstall and get a refund, then what should I get instead of Norton?

I've taken all the advice on this page but none worked so I decided to google ccSvcHst and I came up with this page: http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/sho ... p?t=137085 Some people on there are having the same problems as me. I figure I'll probably end up uninstalling Norton after trying one last thing to fix my problem. Thanks for all the help!

The names viruses on the list after yesterday's scan were just a bunch of "backdoor.trojan"s and "Trojan Horse"s. I opened up the process list and the process taking up the most memory usage is called "ccSvcHst[Caution: ExecutableFile]" under the username "System". The CPU usage is 99 at the moment and the memory usage is going up and up. It's at 69,000 right now but I remember it somewhere in the hundred thousands yesterday. As for a HiJackThis log, I'm clueless.

The scan turned up with nothing. I rebooted and, sure enough, after about 15 or 20 minutes the commit charge increased, the physical memory decreased, and my computer starts to slow down.

I recently updated my virus protection to the 2007 Norton Internet Security. Anyway, I did a full computer scan and it found a bunch of things called backdoor.trojan but the thing that caught my attention was the Trojan Horse. Anyway, it said it removed it but then I noticed my computer becoming unbearably slow. I restarted it and opened up my task manager and checked the Performance. I noticed that the commit charge (k) was increasing very fast. Once it reached a certain point, I would be forced to restart my computer. I ran the virus scan again and it found some more Trojan Horses and said it removed them but the commit charge is still going up and my computer still becomes slow. Also, the physical memory available decreases at about the same speed that the commit charge increases. I'm okay when it comes to computers but not with this stuff. Is there anyway to fix it without taking it somewhere? Should I just keep rerunning the virus scan? If someone can help but needs more information or whatever, just ask. Thanks

Considering 5gp is so low anyway, just take it away as a prize. Besides, a lot of the users here on Tip.It don't play Runescape anymore so 5gp would be even more pointless to those people. (me)

I finally beat the game after having it for 5 years. I collected like 105 stars and then, about 2 years ago, I decided to collect the rest. I had 119 for about a year and then I finally found the other star. Anyway: 1: I don't play it much anymore but when I did, I liked it. 2: Yes 3: 120 or 150 on the DS version. 4: The 8-red coin on the last bowser level for two reasons. I didn't know I was missing the star and I couldn't find the last red coin. I finally found it when I decided to give up and was about to jump off the edge of the cliff near the warp pipe but landed on a ledge that held the last red coin. 5: Umm... Not really... They're just credits.

Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) (Review with more!)
No_OnE replied to PhaperPlane's topic in Off-Topic
One of my favorite games of all time. I haven't played a Zelda game this good since Ocarina of Time. Twilight Princess doesn't actually beat Ocarina of Time though. It's a great game but I'm still looking forward to a Zelda game that uses the Wii's capabilities to the fullest. Twilight Princess for Wii was just a modified version of the Gamecube Twilight Princess. Still, a great game. 8/10 from me -
Photoshop CS2.3? $1,199

Yeah that's what the article is telling us. Surely you'd be able to fight off a "Special Needs" Kid, or at least outrun them? Not necessarily. The article said that the murderer had Asperger's Syndrome and that it's a form of autism. Autism doesn't always mean that you are completely disabled. There's a kid that my bio teacher went to school with who had Autism but he was in honors classes and made straight A's.

Hypothetical Scenario: If Tip It got a membership program?
No_OnE replied to Viktorkrum77's topic in Off-Topic
Even if I were a very active poster, I wouldn't. I'm fine with the OT and The Gallery. I don't need any extra forums. Larger sig and avatar sizes aren't something I care too much about either. There isn't really anything that would make me want to become a member. It might help if I played RuneScape but I find that game painfully boring now... Anyway, the membership plan might be beneficial to RuneScape but I don't see why someone would want to pay for both an RS membership and a Tip.It one. -
So the special needs kid was the murderer? That's what the article says (I think) but the title of this topic states otherwise. Anyway, it's a shame this had to happen. Especially in a school.

I've got a black Razr. It's pretty nice. A lot of people don't like Razrs because they're supposedly breakable but mine has had a lot of accidents over the past year and it doesn't even have a scratch.

The GIMP is definitely not as good as Photoshop as free programs rarely are but The GIMP would be the next best thing.

Don't use Runescape renders. They suck. If you are going to use one, at least blend it in with your background. This brings up another point, you have no background. Well, you do, but it's just a radial gradient. The text is far too big and fancy. In good signatures, you rarely see text like that because it takes away from the focal point but, in this case, you don't really have a focal point either. It's just not good. Read tutorials and, if you want to, you'll get better.

I don't conform. I'm friends with most of the popular kids and most of the non-popular kids. To be honest, my school isn't too socially divided. A lot of people don't feel the need to conform to fit in. At some schools, band geeks get made fun of but at my school, the homecoming queen is in band. Most of the popular kids are also in high honors classes anyway so that eliminates the whole smart=nerd type of thing. I've never felt the need to dress a certain way or act a certain way to fit in.

Thanks for all the c/c. I'd love to make the transition interesting with some nice, doom-impending clouds but I'm still horrible at transitions. I think I may start practicing with terragen and space scenes seperately and when I get better at them both, I'll work on putting them together. I may or may not try to finish this one, I'm not sure yet.
-
I'm not too worried about it. I don't think there's much people can do with my name and if they can do something, then there probably good enough to find my name some other way anyhow.
-
So this time I'm trying things a little bit differently. It's another Terraspace but it's definitely not finished. I'm just posting for tonight and I'll use whatever tips I recieve tomorrow when I start again. I plan on adding a large planet thats kind of setting half way behind the mountains in the horizon with a ring around the planet that is at a 90 degree angle to the ground. I'll probably also add another, smaller planet towards the top of the piece. I'm not sure what else I'll put in.
-
Thanks for the c/c everyone. I don't know if I'll make any edits to this one or not since it's my first. I may just keep all of the c/c in mind and start a new one. Anyway, thanks again!

This is my first terraspace so it's definitely not perfect. After seeing Metroid's piece, I thought it was cool so I started to browse deviantArt for terraspace pieces. I decided to try one myself. I think my biggest problem was getting the transition from the sky to space looking good. I spent a long time trying to fix the transition and this was the best I could get it. Anyway, I created everything in this. The bright thing at the top started out as a nebula but I couldn't get it to work out right. It turned out like it did and I thought it looked kind of cool so I left it. I've definitely spent more time on this piece than anything else I've done. It took me 4-5 hours plus about an hour to create the planet. Umm, c/c is greatly appreciated. Without further ado: Click Here for Fullsized Version

Sorry but I gotta agree with Metroid on this. The background just seems to have a bunch of random C4D with virtually no flow. The black and white makes it far too boring. The border is boring as well. There's just nothing in this sig that appeals to me.
-
I love it. There are just a few things I don't like. The main thing is the top of the right mountain. It just goes dark and it doesn't look natural. The only other major c/c that I can give is that the change from sky to space seems to be too blunt. It could probably be a bit more gradual. Everything else is awesome. Great job.
