well i downloaded gimp, and messed around for a while. i can already see the flames coming in, but i also expect constructive cc and if anyone can direct me to GOOD tutorials (dont say google because i tried) and nice brushes id be thankful EDIT: new one

your first fake you made was ok, but these ones are rather dissapointing. first one: your character isnt even facing towards the wolf. you pointed out that the chat isnt bold but why did you make it that way in first place? even a blind person would have noticed that you did something wrong there. then, at the top left you should write "sneak attack wolf / 5 more options", and not use an "->". and you didnt even edit the chatbox. the wolf is saying something and it isnt even in the chatbox second one: the same moss giant copied and pasted 9999 times, sometimes scaled. again, the text youre saying is not in the chatbox. worse, moss giants are supposed to be taller than people. else they wouldnt be giants. third one: some sheep copied and pasted into the ditch. there is even the name of a guy horribly censored there. Dont let names appear in the screen in first place! move the cursor away from the game screen! is it that hard? and the minimap shows no sheep in the ditch fourth one: a dragon is just there, not shown on the minimap and defending from nothing. again, horribly censored chat THAT SHOULDNT BE THERE IN FIRST PLACE and the damage splat doesnt even have a white number. and you even said it: you spent near to no time on these fakes, and its easy to notice. what you mostly did was crop a picture of something and just paste it into another image. You didnt make the situation funny or something. "omg im in a hurry i need to make 999999 fakes in 1 minute!!!" Put some background events to the actual image, at least make the sheep to say something! edited chatboxes! the possibilities are inmense! take your time to get a nice idea, and dont take screenshots with names that will have to be censored later, making it look awful! spend time on your work

it is a fake. its simple but STILL a fake. or have you ever seen wolves in the fire altar?

oh yes, the shield is in a weird position. look how a shield is wielded (in-game or in real life, its the same position). The arm is always parallel to the shield. when just wielded, the shield is at the side, and when defending, the shield is at the front. just look at the game. base your shields position on that (it hasnt to be exactly the same, but its so you see the logical positions of a shield) and i would make it a little bit transparent, just a little. instead of a solid blue make a gradient between that blue and the color behind, and use a lot of AA.

turn private chat off before taking the screenshot. it looks really ugly if you have to censore the chat. you forgot to shade the text the wolf says its the same wolf copied and pasted multiple times. that looks unnatural, and the wolf was not-so-well cropped and i see that your image lost quality. next time save it as a high-quality .jpg or as a .png file

i dunno what to put on the right. maybe just another guy but your actual guy needs fixing. he is extremely thin. remember that the shoulders are aprox 2 times the width of the head, and the body is only slightly thinner, not underfed. next, his left hand is very big. a hand is not much bigger than the arm it is attached to. his left arm is also weird, i think the forearm (if its called like that, i forgot) is too short. use AA for the staff, for now it looks broken. make it like this:

thats only if he hasnt wrote anything yet. the first looks good, but (yes i am very picky!) you made some errors misusing the " 's " for the second i would have avoided the "inspect hops" and write "jump-attack farmer" or the like :lol: its still great! in the third one you wrote "put the otion on the skin". add the "l" always remember to turn off private chat and that zammy book looks cheap you could post two of your fakes on the FOTW, by the way. click my underbanner in my sig :wink:

the child's right eye (your right eye!) looks weird. and his right hand's fingers are too sausage-ish. make them skinnier and longer still nice one! :thumbsup:

its the text tool... by the way if you want to make a fake, paint is good enough. anyway, any program with a text tool should be able to use the rs font IF YOU INSTALLED IT CORRECTLY, be it MS Word or Graphics Gale or Paint EDIT: look at this picture so you see how to show up that window with the teyt format (sorry for the german, but its in the same place as in the english windows and i tried to translate a bit)

#-o you dont have to open the font itself with paint. just open up a new file and use the text tool, selecting the RS font

you must normally extract the file (to your desktop for example) so you can see that "the fox jumped..." thingy. now copy the file into the "fonts" folder. make sure it says "installing font" then it should work

copy it into the "fonts" folder.
