I think when people throw it up in people's faces about how cheap it is they tend to forget that not everybody lives where they do. In Australia some months i have paid up to $15 AUD for membership and for me that is just too expensive for a game. Right now i am lucky that my boyfriend has a Visa Debit card and we subscribe both accounts under the one card so i pay $10 a month per account. But still there are a lot of people who aren't lucky enough. I also payed $50 for membership one month when i did it via the phone, granted this wasn't because of Jagex but still. In Australia there aren't many options for people younger than 18 to get membership. They can't do paypal, they can't have credit/debit cards, you can't call the phone line from your prepaid mobile. There isn't an sms service set for people. Granted there are money orders but the Australian Postal service isn't always that great and you'd be waiting three weeks for membership. Maybe bring in some of these other options for the younger kids would improve sales and make it easier and more affordable for membership.

What member skills do you think will count the most in F2P? (Most benefits) Agility, its always handy to have the extra length of run time and also for the shortcuts. Especially the short cut to the blue dragons in taverly dungeon. What skills do you think get the most money? Woodcutting, Runecrafting and Fletching. Are pures really awesome? Rolling Eyes Pures are a waste of time, i have no idea why you would shut yourself out from certain aspects of the game. Pures are mainly just people who can't win a fight fairly and need to have a higher advantage at winning than another player who is the same combat level. When is the best time to become a member? I became a member at level 40 - 50 and i must say it helped me progress alot level wise. I started enjoying the game more. Where is your favorite place to train I train at Greater Demons on Brimhaven. They drop sufficient chaos, deaths, laws and fire runes. As well as rune full helms and level 3 clue scrolls. I also train on Ankou in the Security Stronghold. I can get up to at least 500 blood runes, 500 death runes and 500 adamant arrows an hour from training on them. I also don't use much food on them and can spend several hours or more on a load of 20 sharks. Favourite Skill? Woodcutting, i find it relaxing :D Really easy to do when i have to do assessment, i can have my screen split in two and rs on one side and work on another.

How? You can't mine pure ess on free world, and if you pay the money for members and get your character to auto and you get busted. You'll lose all your other accounts connected to that credit card or however you pay.

A business cannot run on little money. People tend to forget just how much it costs for servers, maintenance bandwidth etc as well as the salaries of the Jagex employees. Free to play is a demo, demo's don't get updated full stop. In the past year Free to play had substantial updates. They get holidays items and even access the treasure items that you can get in free to play. If jagex simply gave free to play what they wanted they would lose money. A business cannot function if they are losing money. Be happy with what you got, i dare you to go out and find one online demo game that is free, has no expiry and has as much as runescape?

As the previous posters have said alot is put down to fear. People always look towards outside sources before looking at their own mistakes. The reason majority of people who lose their account details post and say "I got hacked" is because Jagex has instilled into the players that your hacked when your account gets taken over, they ignore the fact that it is most probably the users fault. They don't educate them enough to realize that 99.999% of the time it is their own fault. For the website that have gone into, links they have downloaded from etc. I agree with everything you are saying, now I'm not a programmer but i have friends who have extensive knowledge in the area and I've been told that a real 'hacking' would involve the main server itself being broken into thus giving someone access to ALL the accounts and not just one or two. Correct me if i am wrong :) I do have downloaded many programs, i play runescape i surf the internet yet i have never gotten a keylogger or any virus as such. If i ever do its because my younger brother has jumped on my computer and done his stuff. People in general need to be taught more about internet security and not just the basics of "Your details have been taken! You've been hacked!" Sadly its also these people who exploit the generosity of players to get free items. I myself have given up caring if someone was hacked. I'm tired of being nice and getting taken advantage of. To be honest i think Internet Explorer needs to be picked up to Mozilla Firefox's standard. Ever since i have started using firefox a few years ago, my computer has been all the better. But for some insane reason people think you can't use Firefox for runescape because it is a third party browser. When it comes down to the long haul, the user is 85% of the problem.

In all honestly i do not know what everyones problem is. Sure it was a shock when it first happened but look at it this way. Yeah sure you may be losing some profit i mean taking a 20gp resource and turning it into a 150gp-350gp product is a big change. But in the end you ARE still making at least 200% profit on top of regaining the money you have spent on resources if you bought the essence to runecraft with. This is regarding laws and Natures however you still make profit with chaos and deaths. The only reason everyone complains is because they have to do extra clicking of the mouse to make the same money as before. This was one of the best updates in runescape not only did it give members a new money making resource it also made runecrafting that much harder because it is a simple skill to gain resources for. People tend to forget that if more members started mining essence and selling prices would drop. It's just gotten to the point where there is such a high demand for the essence but many people are too lazy to mine their own. You can do at the least 1k an hour with three pouches. So no i don't see a problem and this was one of the best updates in my opinion. I agree with that idea, however then you would still have free to players complaining as level 50 runecrafting is a bit harder to get in free world. Also you would then need to make it that members do the quest as well otherwise it would be unfair and pointless a quest for members to do. But also, this might bridge a bit of the "F2P hasn't gotten any new quest" complaints they are always getting. Why not a place like the Abyss to mine pure essence on free world? Adds a bit of danger.

Now this is what i have mixed feelings on but there are many reasons to justify why some people would do it.Some people simply like to play one of two ways. The first way which is what most people do when playing, is to begin with combat and gain enough money and resources to complete quests and raise your skill levels. This is effective in that the higher your combat level the easier it is to do things in dangerous places. The second way is build your skills up til they are near maxed and then focus on combat or quests. This way in itself is effective because when your a lower level you usually don't get pestered with "How do i complete this quest?" and other questions as such. However you do get accused of being an autoer. But people seem to miss the underlying reasons behind low levelled pure skillers. It is stupid to just have a pure miner, or pure woodcutter etc. The smart thing is to be a pure skiller and have levels across the board. I myself am not too fond of combat and i would do skills any day over combat, this is one of the biggest reasons there are so many skillers. It depends on peoples personal interests in reality and what they find interesting about the game. People do however need to learn that not every low level with a skill above 50+ is an autoer.

Agreed, it isn't hard to play a game without using profanity or breaking rules.

I like the fact that there is no scrolling anymore, however i think there should be a option where you can have it on, or just have nothing. Chances are if you use the spells you are going to have the required runes on you, and you are also going to know what runes are required for each spell. I support.

need i say more? I can vouch for that because i was with them. Just because someone says a name doesn't mean its really them. No one in TET knows what has gone on, he was here one minute gone the next and we have not heard from him since. More than one person has 99 thieving :P But as Shey said if anyone knows anything then please contact ANY of the Tet staff we could all use your help in finding him and bringing him back home.

I have seen numerous people around on forums with these in their signatures it is ridiculous. Majority of people don't look in the left hand corner of the screen and notice the url. Chances are you don't have one, but Poiuytreza2, regardless of whether he was joking it is not acceptable to post links like that at all. It's childish.

I would not recommend AVG, my future mother-in-law had AVG on her computer and it didn't detect squat. Trend Micro in my opinion is one of the best, however do not download the 2007 edition unless you have a high speed internet connection and decent amount of Ram and as it does take alot of the resources up. But generally a anti-spyware and anti-virus software can detect it.

Although i will not say it is impossible considering my boyfriend did it with 33 prayer potions (Yes that means without any protect prayers) Just will take a long time, be extremely hard and require more food etc and you will keep dying. I would suggest just getting the prayer level to be honest.

I would say it really is a toss up between Mining and Fishing. People are always on the look out for ores and raw fish to cook. If you are mining i would suggest mining the following ores: *Coal *Mithril *Rune *Adamant *Iron If you are fishing i would suggest to just keep going for lobsters. People buy in big amounts and will mostly pay 250gp per each raw lobster. Woodcutting is a bit down hill now that a lot of people have the mage levels for Ancients highest attack Ice Barrage, also i wouldn't want you to subject yourself to the world of chopping Yews on free to play. I used Veracs with protect from mage on and it took me 3 minutes if that to kill. Try a super set and if that doesn't work perhaps try only attacking the Scarab. Turn retaliate off and click manually.

That's a lovely idea! I do it all the time, i usually hand out sets of iron, steel and bronze with weapons and food and such. They are usually ecstatic. It's nice to know there are still some good people in the community. This would have been a really good Christmas event in my opinion, considering Christmas is the time of sharing.
