  1. WTH are piggies? Piggies comes from the word "pigs" which is a slang term for the police. Works along the same lines as the N word (undoubtedly censored) for black people. Not a nice thing to say at all. I don't really know what to say, gun/police issues in the UK are kinda rare (with the exception of the Charles de menzezez (sp?) issue) but unfortunetly on the rise especially in London. The policemen losing their jobs sets a dangerous precedent IMHO, if you make it so police lose their jobs for shooting somebody when alternative methods were available you run the risk of police never using firearms when they are the only option -we must remember these are often split second decisions which are different when viewed with hindsight. (apologies if that's disjointed, its late here  )
  2. I used to enjoy the spiderman games (ps2 ones) but they technically come from a comic I suppose :?

Once again i'd like to reiterate I have no problem with skaters who do so safely and responsibly its a perfectly legitamate and enjoyable sport to me, only the ones who behave recklessly, stupidly or intimidating (usually due to a minority complex I have no doubt) do I have a problem with.

Of course I'm never going to understand if nobody explains it to me! I'm trying to get the inside view but nobody seems willing to explain because I wont' get it anyway, surely I deserve a chance? As for the underground car-park thing - my argument is that it shouldn't be done because it is dangerous for others; the incredible potential for accidents even deaths of car drivers/passengers (who could potentially be infants) and the skateboarder himself, it is NOT a safe place and not designed for skating. What is your counter argument to this? (saying you wouldn't get it anyway is not an admissible counter argument by the way)
  5. This guy rocks as a good luck charm, I clue hunt for lvl 1's for ages, he logs in, bam next steal is a clue GL with goals, will edit with what the clue contains :D Edit - Blue skirt (t) even better good luck charm now =D>

Care to give some evidence why I am wrong rather than "you say so"? I didn't slam all skaters just the ones who act irresponsible and downright dangerously - is that a good or indeed "cool" thing to you? You can't just get away with saying somebody is "completely wrong" on these boards without explaining yourself - give me an insight into why I am wrong.

Hehe I love seeing myself at the top of quote pyramids. The main reason i think people should get good before they go into public places is because of the danger and risk to others. Those things have wheels, they roll, you fall off and get a grazed knee - fair enough. The board rolls on and goes into the path or a car, or worse the thing flips up and goes through the wind shield. That and most skaters i encounter are incredibly rude and disrespectful - one (complete with long greasy hair) deliberately swerved at me coming down a hill, the next time he tried I'm glad to say i stuck my foot out - he didnt try again. Responsible skaters i have no problems with, the ones who think it is clever to terrorise pedestrians, use space NOT intended for skating or practise in the underground carpark (im not even kidding) will find their board in a remarkably awkward place.
  8. According to what i read on the OF... "prayer never used to effect immediately, there was a slight delay in the light coming on to the prayer actually having and effect. This has been changed to now light up when the prayer activates" Not from a mod, but it sounds correct to me :-k Now accuracy over speed in prayer clicking?
  9. With my recent clue hunting this has proved invaluable, thanks very much mr creator :) Hate to fan the flames here but I did just that and received no credit whatsoever, even after lodging a complaint via PM, but that's another issue that's in the past.

No, Bad, all the "skaters" around me are awful and fall off every 5 minutes - at least get good before you practise in public. That and they all need jobs and a haircut, least the ones round my city do :-w
  11. thanks warrior, means a lot somebody listened To assassin = I haven't ever really thought much on the side of mathematical science, so yes i suppose i was referring mostly to experimental science
  12. *disclaimer* despite this post being actually on topic and not part of a religion vs science flame-war which is eternal and will never be sorted on a worldwide setting, let alone on one lonely forum, this post will be ignored *disclaimer ends* Is science valid? Yes, warrior45 knows my religious views from my posts on his other topics but I still believe the basic point of science to be worthy and a good thing, not all religious people are as blind as some. Is science the undeniable truth? No, science fanatics can scream all they like about undeniable tests etc but it can never be completely proven. Scientists 100 years ago had their own "undeniable" tests which have yet been proven wrong, and undoubtedly within a few decades if not years then our generations science will be overturned. So in conclusion - science valid? yes, science truth? No, not yet, nor will i doubt it ever will be - being the eternal thing it is. P.S. i suppose i should clarify my religious view for everyone not warrior lol, I believe in God, and that i should live my life in a way that benefits myself and others as much as possible. I have no proof for this, no evidence or science, only the feeling that i get when i see the beautiful things in this world that too me are nothing less than divine. Please don't attack this, its my personal belief and I won't force it on anyone, I just feel it to be relevant to the discussion.
  13. I won't quote all the things I'd like to in this excellent discussion because its very early in the morning where I am but I feel I have to post. First of all thanks for saying I had strong points even if you aren't in agreement with them at least I know I justified myself. I think I have been slightly misinterpreted however, I was only stating how the situation is, I really didn't mean to put across the viewpoint that that is how I believe it should be. If there was a way in which we could truly work with Jagex and help aid the game we all know and love I would be the first to sign up; after all the game's the thing. I suppose its just pessimism on my part, I've grown up seeing companies entirely disregard their consumer base time and time again and get away with it because of the dependency of their customers - they never change; provided the profit margins are big enough there is no incentive to. I'm entirely on your side in terms of how it could and indeed should change (230+ quests points on my lvl89 and yet to struggle) , just I don't ever see it happening unfortunately. So to summarise: 1) I completely agree on how Jagex should listen to fan sites/long time customers, 2) maybe raise the challenge level on updates, 3) Give notice to those they make illegal (I was unaware of the strider/swiftswitch issue, if true that was downright rude). I just don't see it happening anytime soon, and am intensely irritated by players who whine (not argue legitimately like yourselves) about how Jagex is obligated to them. P.S. no, protests will do nothing but get you banned as will spamming the forums its counter-productive and generally pointless. Also, apologies if this post is all jangly and non-lucid, its getting on for 12.30 am here...
  14. To be honest I doubt it, I went with higher levels then you and got whupped, i recently went back with ancients and blood burst and still took a fair bit of damage.
  15. Sorry, didn't make my point too clear it seems. I have no problem with people wanting change - thats only natural after playing the game for such a long time - what grinds my gears is people who demand change or expect Jagex to pander to their every whim. People like yourself who tell whats going on and their points against it are perfectly fine, its the ones who feel Jagex owes them something that irritate me.
  16. Then we are agreed, Jagex is acting perfectly legally on its own forums, and allowing free speech on the others (whether they like it/can do anything about it is irrelevant - they can't do anything because of freedom of speech working how it should) Why? why do they have to let go of it? It may be detrimental to their profits if they don't eventually but that is entirely their concern - I believe if they did let it go and went public then it would get worse; anybody "owning" RS would be in the stock market and therefore out solely for profit and unlikely to care at all for gamers. Unfortunately these people are never fed up enough to do anything about it - i.e. Quit. I completely understand that people may be unhappy with the direction Jagex is taking and thats entirely correct but to sit and moan will never get anything done - only by quitting/cancelling membership will cause any concern to Jagex and many refuse to put their money (or indeed abscence of it) where their mouth is.
  17. I covered that, you have freedom of speech, you can write anything you like about Jagex, they also have freedom of enterprise and as such can decide what they do and do not show on their own forums - If I wrote a letter to the Times or the Guardian about all their failings would you expect them to publish it? Jagex isnt stopping you writing on this forum about it, hence freedom of speech is retained. Of course they do, its their game, why wouldnt they want control over it? I suppose there is the suggestions forum, I have no experience of it personally but i presume only the very best ideas are taken in - wasn't castle wars or similar from a player suggestion? With Jagex being a private company they are again under no obligation to even allow suggestions, let alone enact them - it would be nice it they would, but they don't and that remains entirely their choice, the only way to make suggestions would be to never expect them to be chosen - Jagex owes nobody anything.
  18. This intense kind of whinery is really starting to irritate me with Runescape. Every time there is a rule change that irritates somebody - they whine, they never quit, but they moan constantly. I really think that people need to realise that Jagex is a private company, nothing more, with absolutely no obligation whatsoever to their customers other than providing the services they say they will provide. Remeber that Terms and Conditions you clicked past so quickly whilst signing up? That was the one that told you that Runescape and your account is the property of Jagex and they can make any change they like, whenever they like - It is very much Jagex's baby and will always remain so - to think that they will ever change is foolish. The comment about bandwidth, onec again it is Jagex's bandwidth, they can do whatever they like with it, and if they feel that it is being misused they are entirely within their rights to change how it is used - i.e. the banning of stat sigs - whilst simultaneously having no obligation to provide an alternative, it was not part of what Jagex said they would provide and as such they can ban it at any time. "1) Jagex is trying to have too much control. I see nothing wrong with SwiftSwitch". This is again wrong, Jagex has and always will have complete control, there may be nothing wrong with SwiftSwitch in your eyes true, but there is something wrong with it in Jagex's and its their opinion that matters. The forums - has nothing to do with the bill of rights, the freedom of speech acts or the Human rights acts - all these state is that nobody can stop you sayin it yourself - Jagex is only stopping you using its privately owned forums for it - a perfectly legal right. It is very much in vogue at the moment it seems to slander Jagex, this is wrong, that is wrong, all helped by the annonymity of the internet and in some cases I believe a need to look big or rebellious, how many of the complainers stop playing RS? How many actually stop playing as a result? Very few. These issues are evidently not enough to stop people paying for RS so it is a simple case of like it, or lump it - that is the nature of capitilism, business and tertiary industry - if you dont like it, get out, or stop moaning - if RS ever stopped being fun or interesting for me (due to updates or other) I would stop paying; its the only power you have, get used to it.
  19. Didn't Jebus wear sandals :-s
  20. Oooooo darn that's embarrassing  Just goes to show even the best can be wrong sometimes right :-w
  21. Would not dharocking be just as fast if not faster than a whip?
  22. I have work till 10 :( Later I say! If not have a great party :D
  23. European nights - when English people support English clubs playing foreign teams when they wouldn't think twice about supporting them in the Premier League  As to the match, I missed it, damn CW *grumbles*
  24. [omg], that is easy for me. The sun is the VERY obvious answer for star. Decades and millenia should be easy. millenia is from celebrating the year 2000. So you know it's in intervals of 100 at the very least because not a once in a lifetime thing for everyone. Then it talks about 2000 being our 2nd millenia, so... Decade is 10 and used often in bio and stuff. Lol this is just so funny, so it's 200, unless i messed up my math. A millenia is only 1000 years :-$ so it would be only 100 decades in a millennia (100x10 = 1000) not so easy after all eh ;)
  25. I quite agree, the entire "you have no experienced it, therefore you cannot judge it" is deeply flawed. Judges and juries in this country have rarely experienced the actions of the Plaintiff - therefore the entire UK judicial systems is flawed? To use an extreme example - I have never strung a child up in a tree and beaten it with baseball bat - does this mean I cannot judge this to be wrong?
