Does the forum need a moderator?
Yes, a moderator that could judge threads based on whether it's a real debate or not would be good. Although it's not that hard to judge, and topics could be easily moved to general discussion or questionnaires by perhaps a global mod or w/e. Most important thing is that threads are subjected to the judgement of a moderator that decides whether it's a real debate or not. I agree that there are a lot of topics on this forum that are sub par.

No Hugging, No touching? WTF?!
In Germany they're not allowed to show a swastika in games or movies. Every country has dumb rules. Hell, this one isn't even a law, it's just a few schools. A swastika is not quite the same as a hug. But yes, these things are a touchy subject in germany. Though when it comes to sex and everything that could possibly related to sex, america is extremely prude. Hug rules? Not possible here.

Lmao, this is only possible in America.

Does the forum need a moderator?
Uhm, doesn't every forum need a moderator? And you have global moderators, so I'm guessing this forum is already covered? Seeing the amount of spam accounts that register on these forums, I'd say no forum could do without the watchful eye of one who is capable of moving posts to the garbage bin.

Should F2P get skill capes?
Like I said, personally I think skill capes would be a good update for F2P, and I'm all for it. Though, I do think you underestimate the "power" of the skill capes. It thrives a lot of players into skilling to actually get such a cape. They are undisputably very popular. Ofcourse it's impossible to foresee the impact that releasing skill capes has on F2P and P2P balance.. I do think skill capes are a major asset of P2P. Heck, I even hear people talking about the number of capes they have, instead of the number of 99's they have. There are two sides on this though. I can imagine that Jagex will want to give F2P'ers the "respect that they deserve" by acknowledging the F2P achievements, but don't want to release big P2P assets to F2P. That's the balance question that Jagex will have to make, as far as I can judge their insights. I do think that if skill capes will ever be released to F2P, it will have a huge impact. It'll change F2P skilling, giving F2P'ers an incentive to actually dedicate themselves to one skill, to get such a fabled skill cape. And it'll cause enormous ranting on the RSOF (like always, but in greater amounts this time) by P2P'ers. Well, that wouldn't be a reason to not release skill capes to F2P, but I do think that people see skill capes as a major asset of P2P (and thus P2P'ers will rant when one of their precious privileges is released to F2P, reflecting the importance). I'd like to see it happen though. It would be interesting. Getting a skill cape is something that drives a lot of people. You'll find a lot of people spending hours of training to get one. And though skill capes are indeed reserved for the "elite" in a particular skill, it's easily observed that a lot of people aim to get a skill cape now, or in the nearby future. And if such a thing is possible on F2P, the incentive to get P2P is a lot smaller than what it could have been, and that's the financial risk that Jagex is facing.

Killing in the name of Summoning #8 99
One of the best 99's, and a very useful and expensive lvl 96. Quite a decent bank as well. 8/10. I'd say 9/10 if you had more allround stats. But great achievement nonetheless.

Runescape On Consoles *proof*
You're forgetting the fact that it's a prototype, it might be years before we even see it and they probably don't want to jump the gun like they did for Mobilizing Armies. And they still wouldn't announce it in a clan chat.. Things like this are announced at E3. Then why was it announced? If it is such a big deal, and not something they would announce in a clan chat... then would they joke about it? Would be unwise, to say the least.

Camping
What he said ^ The only thing that botters me when I'm fighting abyssal demons is that some people just don't know when to hop. As said, there are plenty of spots available, so there's no need to log in and fight when there are already 4-5 people fighting. Although people have the right to be there, it gets annoying. But that has nothing to do with camping really.

How am I wrong? When fighting something with high defense, accuracy to chip away at hp more often is better opposed to a string of 0s and a high hit here and there. Someone fighting with melee in say, Godwars, may benefit more from a warrior ring because of the slash bonus if using a whip. A staker with high defense and attack with low strength will benefit more from a warrior ring than a berserker ring. There are uses for both rings. All I said is that the berserker is worth SO much more is because everyone is obsessed with strength these days. You can't train combat anywhere anymore without being asked your strength level. (unless you're maxed melee...then the person asking you is a moron). Bandos armor is another good example. The defensive stats are below most if not all the barrows melee sets, but it's valued at so much more because of the strength bonus. A seers ring is in the 50k's, and an archers ring falls a little below 400k. Both have uses where a berserker ring would be foolish to use, but both fall WAY below it in price. Strength is overrated, yes. But when it comes to xp rates in training, then you're better off using a berserker. I think that's what inuashakent tried to say (since he talked about xp rates and all). The statement of "accuracy is sometimes better" is far too generalized to be applicable on the xp rates that both rings give. Anyways, on the scale of offtopicness, I rate this thread a 9

I don't, selective perception probably. But lets not go into too much slowchat and offtopicness.

Should F2P get skill capes?
Jagex has said repeatedly over the past few months that f2p is not just a demo for the member's game. They've also said repeatedly that profit is secondary to making a great game. And they've been following through with this: they removed video ads that had been bringing in lots of revenue because they were annoying as hell, they took away member's-only content like right-click options for pickpocketing from free worlds, and they've made nearly all the recent PvP minigames available to free players, as well as the RC guild and Lumbridge Diary. The fact that F2P is not a demo does not mean that F2P should get [insert member feature]. After all, the company is able to function primarily because of profit made due to selling membership credit. Jagex does not want to make F2P *that* much appealing so that P2P will stop being interesting. Skill capes are something that F2P would really like. And a good reason to get membership. I don't think Jagex will want to lose a big asset of P2P. There is no right and wrong when it comes to decisions like these. Jagex is the only one that can make that decision. My own personal opinion, though, is that I'd like to see F2P get skill capes. They deserve it, in my opinion. It would fit nicely in F2P. Though, my opinion is not relevant. My point is, that there is no "should". And the fact that F2P is not a demo, does not say anything about individual member benefits being given to F2P.

If you want a seperation of church and state, you shouldn't be living in the US in the first place (I don't know if you live there though). Actually, separation of church and state is supposed to be a principle of the United States, due to it being founded on religious equality and freedom. You can't have that if the Christian religion goes hand in hand with government, now can you? Exactly.

I use the parcel method. I don't like dropping. Even with mousekeys. It's annoying. I'd rather run up to the parcel guy and bank my stuff (for a small profit aswell). But admittingly, I bank two loads at a time with my pack yak.

Eh, i dont agree that its just a status symbol... i didn't buy it to look rich really i just always wanted one since rsc. Well, I wanted a whip since rsc, I post it here, will you give me 10/10? No, because a whip is 1.5M, I don't see the difference between the whip and the partyhat, just because the partyhat costs 132M it deserves a higher rating? So the more expensive, the higher the rating, there we are, back at the wealth. partyhat is discontinued , whip is a monster drop, therfor a phat is more of an achivment than a whip, gtfo? Horrible example along with horrible spelling. Forgetting the price of both items/when you started playing Runescape completely: Party hats were dropped in crackers and picked up off the ground, free of charge. Whips were only gotten through 85 slayer, in which everyone started at level 1 and you can't buy slayer levels, so bank wealth doesn't make any difference besides armor/weaponry. Seems that getting the whip is in fact harder by these standards. But of course when you throw in the fact that now the hat is 133 mil, and the whip is 1.5 mil, everyone assumes the hat is a greater achievement. And why is this? Wealth. Status Symbol. Has no other use than showing how rich someone is. Take name-brand clothing for example: I can buy a Rolex watch or diamond earrings for ridiculous prices. People assume I'm rich because it's a rolex, and it's used as status. I can buy a knock-off Rolex for $20 or Cubic Zirconium earrings, and they would look exactly the same and serve the same purpose, but if people knew they were fake, they would put me below the person with the real set socially and economically. Rating someone low is a matter of opinion. He's not jealous. He's not doing it just to be a jerk, as fun as that may be. Most wealth is achieved by pure luck or through playing the market all day. Buying expensive items just doesn't impress some people anymore since people devote time to other things besides making money. You people flaming Xano for his logical points and arguments are being immature and thick-headed. Don't even bother trying to pick this apart and try to twist my words. I will verbally KO you. You're right. But pretty much the same can be said for skills. Getting 99 skills show you simply invested a lot of time in a game. Nothing more. Why would you rate a 99 higher than lvl 50? Only because the person with 99 had plenty of free time to get the 99? Rating in this game is based on stuff like status. If you don't rate a phat high, then there is no use in rating anything on this game, because you seemingly don't agree on what an achievement is in this game. Don't mean to say that it's a bad thing. It could be said that rating anything in this game is a bit awkward. After all, it's a game, not something that defines you as a person (although some people think otherwise).
