  1. bf1942 didn't have iron sights iirc, BF2 was the first in the series I think.
  2. Does it happen any other time where parts of the PC are stressed (eg. games, videos) if yes it may rule out a virus issue.
  3. So I'm considering a RAM upgrade and have whittled the list down to 2 options: Corsair XMS2 DHX CL5 DDR2-800 http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/compone ... artid=4450 G.Skill Pi CL5 DDR-2 800 http://www.playtech.co.nz/product.php?a ... il&id=5174 These two variants both seem to have the same specifications, both sporting massive heatsinks but the G.Skill variant is much cheaper so which one is superior? Other questions are: 1) The exact same RAM modules can be bought for cheaper without the Heatsinks but with smaller heatspreaders instead so do the Heatsinks justify the $10-20 NZD increase? (I don't do extreme overclocking, my naked Apacer Modules are coping well with a +700mhz on my E4500) 2) How does 4GB of DDR2-800 compare with 2GB of DDR2-1066? 3) CL4 vs CL5 latencies, Should I spend more to get lower latency RAM? My Motherboard is an Asus P5K-R if thats any help
  4. Most likely to be some sort of virus, post a Hijack This log http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-Hij ... 27353.html Scan in safe mode etc.
  5. Battlefield series peaked at BF2 imo.
  6. Give us BF3 goddammit, 128+ multiplayer, CryEngine 2/3 none of this dumbed down console [cabbage].
  7. Crysis- Designed to stretch PC capabilities when it was released GTA IV (PC)- An unoptimized POS (technologically wise).
  8. 24 player, 3 maps and the graphics don't seem that much of a step up. GTFO EA.
  9. I've played various games of USB2.0 external harddrives and there is a little performance drop and the loading times are longer due to the slower data transfer rate.
  10. Puberty. Hes just venting some teenage angst, he'll grow out of it eventually.
  11. 1) go to shop/internet store 2)choose which card you want 3)pay 4)read the instruction booklet 5)??? 6) profit
  12. You are playing WC3 at 1920x1080? On my version of the game I can only get it to 1400x10xx (don't think its fully patched though) but try manually turning down the resolution until the problem goes away.

Should replace the Airstrike or Chopper with the AC 130 or at least to a realistic balance to the choppers as in real life, the Hind in armoured like a (aerial)tank and can resist much more damage than a Super Cobra so either Hind-Apache or Super Cobra-Havoc
  14. Personal taste in my opinion, I know some people who have pin-point bombing accuracy, fly under bridges and do loop-the-loops with choppers on BF2 using Mouse+KB.
  15. Most likely to be dead pixels, if your monitor is in warranty send it back and get it replaced. Don't think its artifacting as it tends more to corrupted colours and more grouped than in a straight row. Plug something else into your monitor such as another computer or turn it on with nothing plugged into an it will give the "no signal" box and if the problem still prevails its dead pixels.
  16. I'm not too keen on the massive taskbar but if I decide to buy the OEM version of 7 when ir is released, can I just reformat my hard-drive and install 7 or do I need a new component (ie. hard drive).
  17. Only one I've played/owned was X-2 and didn't enjoy it.
  18. First of all, its Manchester City and turns out Kaka isn't going any more http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... rs&cc=3436 and it isnt for 18M, infact 107M. If I were AC Milan management, I would sell him and I could get back 4 to 5 YOUNG world class players to replace the aging likes of Maldini, Shevchenko, Seedorf, Inzaghi etc
  19. G5 is A++, what accessories are you getting for it? I recommend a quality Mousepad (Razer, Steelseries)
