Do you need perfect eyesight for the military (dunno if it varies for country to country), I think you need something like 20/20 to be a pilot but not sure for infantry and the like. On my driver license it says I need to have "correcting lenses" at all times if that helps.

See how much power the 8800GT uses and add that to how much your CPU, HDD uses etc. If its <350W then its fine. I run a HD3870 off a 390W PSU so GL. ps. your PSU may not be 100% 350W, see how many amps are on the +12V rail and times then together (VxA= P) to see how many Watts there are.

If your PSU is faulty, don't open it up. Even if its unplugged and everything, the capacitors still have enough charged stored to [bleep] you up. Replace the PSU instead.

The GTA IV spec sheet it misleading. It suggests that a 7900 is worse than an 8600GT and that the 8600GT is equivalent to a HD3870 which in fact [cabbage]s on the 8600GT. GTA IV is also a resource hog and people currently with 4870's and E8500's are experiencing slow downs and the like so I would asssume a HD4670 will not be adequate if you want playable frame rates and the graphics are comparable to the ones at the back of the box. http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthrea ... ost1089051 If you want an enjoyable experience from GTA with graphics equal to or better than the console versions, a complete overhaul of your PC will be in order, such as upgrading to a E8400, >2gb RAM, and a graphics card with greater than 512mb of memory with the horsepower to push along the pixels as the draw distance needs alot of memory to store the textures etc (GTX260, HD4850...). If your willing to spend this much money just for GTA, might as well just buy an Xbox 360 and play it on there, save you the hassle of assembling, troubleshooting for incompatibilities, no random crashes etc.

first person shooters that when you carry say 100 bullets and your magazine is 27/30, 3 bullets will be deducted from your stash, really destroys the immersiveness. I prefer greater that you carry magazines and when you reload after a burst, you waste say 25 bullets such as in the Battlefield games.

You just need a source engine based game which means purchasing HL2, CS:S, DOD:S etc. or alternatively getting HL2:LC,HL2:DM for free with an ATI or Nvidia Video card.

Why do you hate LCD's? I have a 20" myself and have to say that viewing a CRT is more uncomfortable for my eyes than a LCD.

you can use two mice but you only have one cursor so effectively, the two mice would conflict with each other.
