  1. It was mainly a reply to people claiming that poor people are poor because it's completely their fault and all that. Not meant as an offensive statement, more of a defensive one. The American Dream is a good concept, I guess, not really sure why I said that. -.-
  2. Did I ever say Obama was going to redistribute wealth? And he's implementing universal healthcare, or at least going to attempt to.

So Kent, you would say Ganondorf is better than Falcon? I suppose if you're going to have low priority and slow moves, you might as well have really low priority and really slow moves (But ridiculously powerful). Dedede is also pretty cheap. CGs on nearly every character, infinites on a few. No glitches as far as I'm concerned though.
  4. LOL WUT This was the first election I've really followed, so excuse any ignorance I have, or may, show(n). Isn't one of the unalienable rights in the Declaration of Independence "life"? When you don't allow someone to get healthcare, let alone some money, you're basically denying them that right. And there is no way that everyone is born equal. Not only are there genetics, but do you really think a kid living in a gang-ridden section of a city will get the same chances as a kid living in a rich suburb? I thought part of the American Dream (Which is complete rubbish, but who cares) was hope, and giving people a chance. Apparently I'm really left-wing, but I live in America. Oh well.
  5. The "BJ" in BJ Upton (Baseball player on the Tampa Bay Rays) stands for Bossman Junior.. :P The fact that this guy changed it, picking it himself, ruins it. Now, Batman bin Suparman on the other hand...
  6. Don't they have people write their speeches or something though? Yeah, but delivery is also really important. Obama naturally has that charisma, and McCain was strong throughout his.

Since most of you still play RuneScape, it's like the combat triangle? [Excluding MK], all characters have their weaknesses, no character is good against everyone else. In my opinion, Falco > Snake, but Dedede > Falco, and Snake > Dedede. I use two pretty high up characters and two of the lowest. I can't complain.
  8. I don't see why people even bother complaining about Obama winning the election anymore. He won it, there's nothing you can do to change it. Just face it, even if you complain all you want, Obama is still most likely going to go through with his plans. I'm pretty sure I said it back on page 6 or something, but the two speeches that Obama and McCain were both historical. Obama's was incredible, he proved he was that great speaker that 53% (?) of Americans voted for. McCain's was also great, especially for a concession speech.
  9. Oh [bleep], I've been talking with McCain supporters (That I know in real life) and none of them can take a joke. Is it just me, or... a) Republicans are serious business B) Democrats are way too sarcastic c) Democrats are extremely egoistical Perhaps all three? :
  10. I live in a blue state, a blue city, I go to a blue school. EVERYONE I know's status on Facebook/Gmail/IM is "OBAMA!" as of now, except one person, who's is "Going to fail bio test tomorrow..." Epic speech, if he keeps it up, Obama is going to have a great four years. We can only wait and see. He's going to reign over my high school life, possibly my college life as well, so I hope the best for him. I know for fact there's a Republican kid at my school, he better wear full-body armor tomorrow...That's like being a Yankees fan. -.-
  11. What a quick election...I've been keeping track, I had a word document open the whole time, I was typing in times and all that as it happened. : McCain's speech was good, especially under those circumstances. Though Palin looked like she was going to break down in tears...
  12. Awesome. Police cars are racing around outside. Go figure. Massachusetts, all blue state. \ Edit: Oh wait, what about Alaska and those CRUCIAL 3 electoral votes?
  13. Aye, just start bracing yourselves for the recounts.
  14. It depends on the western states. They're all predicted to be democratic, and I'm quite sure California will be - Don't know about the others. I played with the calculator a bit more, if everything but Montana, California and Hawaii goes to McCain, we would have a 269-269 tie. Doesn't seem likely, but that should give you an idea of how important some of these states are.
  15. Only 6 polls still open. As if it wasn't obvious...It's over? Take the 55 from California, which is nearly definitely going to go blue, add that to the 206 or whatever Obama has now...~260. He can scoop up another 10 anywhere, even without all the currently really close ones.
  16. It's flopping a lot. The closest I saw it was 800 votes, and it's nearly at 80% complete. If it matters, a recount will definitely be demanded. And I heard McCain wanted a delay, something to do with the army voting. Not sure about that. I can't believe Montana is a battleground state...What? Like those 3 electoral votes will REALLY matter?
  17. I bet McCain will want recounts of Florida, North Carolina, and/or Virginia. I played around with the calculator on CNN, it seems like those three are the crucial ones as of now I'm staying up. Shouldn't be too late, 1 AM EST isn't too bad, and Alaska has like 10 people.
  18. Most of the Bible Belt states closed at 9 EST, which was about 10 minutes ago. Already a few went to McCain, I doubt Obama will take many. To be honest, if Obama wins Cali and Florida, it's over. Most of CNN's projections are in states that are 60%+ for one person.
  19. Yea, Baal, my history teacher told us something like that. If people on the west coast think "Hey, McCain's losing, why bother vote for him then...", then we might have some issues. I'd say Connecticut is a landslide (72-27), otherwise it's still close. And the northeast always leans democratic, the south (Bible Belt) leans Republican. Like I said, once both are closed, only California will be somewhat important.
  20. And here's the massive update I was predicting. CNN claims 77-34, Obama, sounds right as most of Obama's states at the minute are the northeastern ones and Illinois. ...Still to early to tell, after the Bible Belt is over it should be clearer.
  21. I printed them, 15 pages, even with tiny text. They're nothing to base your life off of (Or are they?), but they really make you think, and Trapical makes some very, very good points.
  22. Yep, it's 8-3, Kentucky vs. Vermont right now. Indiana is pretty close, a ton of the east coast closes at 8 EST. I'll check back then.
  23. I have to say, the most unpopular kids at my school are all Republican. I love Massachusetts. But really, in my city, Democrats outnumber Republicans 6 to 1. And doesn't the VP not do...much...? Unless the President dies, which I suppose is possible.
  24. Oh, come on, you know what I mean... They'll both use a ton of money, save a bunch of people, kill a bunch of people. We're screwed.
  25. Even Sir Isaac Newton knew - Since I'm attracted to you, you must be attracted to me. Yes, I can't come up with anything nerdier at the moment. >_> One my friend told me (Not...TO me...) was "Do you work at a bakery? Because you have some nice buns."
