Banned Books
To Kill a Mockingbird is banned in quite a few places, if you've read it, you'd know why. I fail to see why Harry Potter could be banned, but Lord of the Rings (And Inheritance, I guess?) aren't. Don't they all have magic?

Snow in october in uk
It wouldn't be too surprising if it snowed here (Massachusetts) now. There was a big rain storm earlier, and if it was a tad colder, it probably would've been snow. (I have a newspaper clipping of the first snowfall from a few years ago, it was October 21) I hate snow + cold weather though. I mean, we get school off if it's bad enough...But I'd rather have a longer summer vacation.

What would you name your first child?
Hahaha! I love you. Just for that. And only for that. Just like the Odyssey, eh? Maybe you can go send him to kill a giant cyclops one day. Don't they do something like that in Iceland? The last name is the father's name + "son", I think? But that would be awesome. Nothing fun like that with my name :(

New Star Wars MMO "Star Wars: The Old Republic"
Probably the same way they do it for LOTRO. I haven't played LOTRO, but I've heard you basically play through the story. Actually, I have a feeling this will turn out a lot like LOTRO.

What are you playing right now?
I guess Civ4. RFC mod. Though I have a ton of unopened games, I don't know what's keeping me from playing them. Some Brawl here and there, a bit of random MMORPGs I guess.

What would you name your first child?
Frodo or Faramir if a boy. Elanor or Goldilocks if a girl. Sam or Rosie would actually be alright.

What is George Bush's Legacy?
If only everyone in the world would listen to that. The problem is, a good deal don't. :|

What is George Bush's Legacy?
Anytime anyone says they hope they are doing God's will or that they are serving him atheists all try to go "What a loony! he thinks he talks to God? What a nutjob!" And nothin Scott McClellan said was really news. It was just Keith Olbermann who jumped all over that. I can see where McClellan is mad about Valerie Plame but that is really the only thing he said that was important. Okay, let's just assume you're right here, and Bush actually meant "I believe that I am doing God's will.", instead of what he actually said, which was "I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George go and end the tyranny in Iraq,' and I did." I mean, I don't know why he would mean the first thing when he said the second, but maybe, just maybe he did. Let's assume you're right. Don't you think that Bush saying that he thinks he is doing God's will by invading a country is manipulating the Christian majority.... just a little bit..? ...Constantine. Just wanted to say that. Haven't all the past presidents been Christian, one sect or another? And haven't a good deal of them been involved in war? Of course, I doubt any (Except Bush apparently?) was told to declare war by God, but if you really expect all presidents to turn the other cheek, then there would never have been any wars in American history. (Because turning the other cheek when Pearl Harbor was bombed, or after 9/11, would be a really great idea...)

Study squashes myth of gamer as antisocial
And before declaring wars, they'll use Civilizations to simulate it, to find out the outcome. To be honest, isn't communicating online a form of social activity? So aren't online players pretty social? If not...Well, just about everyone at my school has some console, 5 years ago I doubt half the school did. I find that a lot of them play sports games, a bit of Halo and all that. But as far as I know, there are very, very few hardcore gamers at my school. Even fewer hardcore PC gamers.

Happy Mol Day!
I guess I jumped to a conclusion - Are we just talking names, symbols, or what? Atomic mass? Now that'd be incredible. And I just had too much free time. Quite the nerd here... : (Just saying, if you know all the elements in order, but not their atomic numbers - Sure it helps, but not that much. If you have to find Seaborgium, are you really going to go through the first hundred or so elements in your head?)

Happy Mol Day!
Yea, Physics > you. And seriously? Only 97? Last year I managed to get 118. Forgot half of them two weeks later, but that's not the point. (And chances are I pronounced most of them wrong) Happy Mole Day, nerd holidays ftw.

Rock Band II
I fail to see how it's any different from "push buttons and crap to kill people." It's a video game. You press buttons. You have fun. Don't overthink it. And please, go try TTFAF on expert...No talent, right?

Smash Club.
Lolwut, you have a Brawl Club at school. :twss: To be honest, I'm shocked, too. I could've sworn I've said this. And yes, it was shocking. ...I don't go, I don't plan on going. You guys > them. :twss:

Nice! I think my sig is full though...Oh well. Oh, and I found out my 61 year old English teacher is the supervisor of the Brawl Club at my school. :uhh:

What is George Bush's Legacy?
He'll most likely be remembered as the president who had power during 9/11, and for his reactions to it. And for nuke-you-lar.

"No God" adverts to run on bendy buses in London
Did I really just get into a debate with you two? What was I thinking... And I wasn't even offended in any way when we learned about [human] evolution a few years ago... :? Well, I'm out. Don't want to make a bigger fool out of myself. :-w And yes, we all have massive egos...>_>

"No God" adverts to run on bendy buses in London
Bad wording is bad. :| I was exaggerating about the 100% thing, of course nothing is definitely true. But many people forget evolution is a theory, and while it generally is a commonly accepted fact, human evolution is a gray area. I have no problem with evolution in general being taught - It's the history of humans, the evolution of humans, that I'm talking about. And while it's also impossible to remain purely neutral, bio (or history?) teachers should at least make a note of that. And okay, okay, I'll let the idiots into the corner...

"No God" adverts to run on bendy buses in London
I think the problem isn't whether or not evolution and creationism are taught in schools, its the way they're taught. Usually, evolution is taught as if it's definitely 100% true, which is not the case. I realize that evolution must be taught, and I agree, it should be, but teachers should give a disclaimer or something. In tiny text. If creationism ends up being taught in school - Same thing.

Tom Clancy's EndWar.
Telling the story of what happened in an epic strategy game is really fun. I do it sometimes with Civ4, it's fun reliving all your glorious moments. Anyway, it's been decided - I shall get this game. Eventually. Decisions, decisions...

In my opinion, that is the perfect reply. I'm a Christian but like many other people have said, atheists should be able to put up messages too. I'm not exactly supporting it, but I'm not against it. Yea, if you stop following a religion just because of an ad, then your faith is really, really weak. Just like how no one will be converted by Christian or Islam ads. As for the debate going on, all I have to say is what I've said so many times before (Actually, I'll say two things): 1. There is no scientific theory (Yea, I'm even going to count theories - Not just 100% facts) that states "There is no God." Likewise, nowhere in the Bible does it say "EVOLUTION FAILS!" Sure, scientific theories and religious texts tend to contradict each other once in a while, but if you look at it a certain way, and don't take everything literally, science and faith can co-exist. 2. You can't prove the Bible true or false. There is plenty of evidence for it, plenty against it.
