  1. I'm afraid of dogs. And some cats. :uhh: I was born in the Year of the Dog (Chinese zodiac), but I prefer cats. If either at all.

I think he means downloading games and stuff through Xfire. Which isn't the point. The point is a chat service, as well as giving the ability to launch and track games. Anything that can be downloaded with Xfire can also be downloaded off Download.com or Filefront, most likely.

Face it, tier lists are for 15 year old kids to gain bragging rights about how Snake is so much more awesome than Mario. The mature solution would be to create an official match-up table, instead of some (massively) generalised list about who's better than who. ? :twss:

NO WAI Ignore my hobbies/interests/about me/blog, I wrote that when I was 12. And ignore my friend at that, they're a bit...Strange. Add me if you want, I probably won't talk much. Combat Arms all the way? (Lawl at how all the ads on Xfire are screaming COMBAT ARMMMMMS right now)
  5. First off, I live in a ridiculously wealthy suburb of Boston. Rich people galore.I wouldn't say my family is rich though, our house is small but we have plenty of...Stuff in it. Anyway, it depends on the attitude the kids take. If they're like Schumacher's kids, then great, I have absolutely no problem with them. If they're those bratty kids who take everything for granted, then no. Just no. Like if they make a show of showing things off, act like anyone who isn't as rich is inferior, or just act like a [bleep]. I've had plenty of experience with both, I have many friends who are quite wealthy, but are extremely nice. One kid has a huge house, a Wii, 360 and PS3, but invited half the grade over for a graduation party. And everyone says he's the nicest kid in school, a fact which I will fully back up. It's simply the attitude the kid takes. I kind of agree with Ginger, the friend annoys me. If Johnny was rich, then wouldn't we know it already? Rich people are nearly always at the top of the social ladder, and therefore are the best known? If his family are rich, but don't like to show it off, and thus no one knows about them, good for them (the family). Bad for the friend. :| Though it was the parents who originally made the money, as they are the same immediate family, and thus live in the same house, it's just simpler to refer to the kid than the family.
  6. I'm going to give this a bump. Chances are it will die again within 24 hours. Perfect World, one of the most anticipated F2P MMORPGs, has hit Open Beta. I don't think it warrants its own thread though. I gave it a go, pretty good. It has flying, just like Aion will. And yes, you can perform skills while flying, it is extremely awesome-cool. (I'm not sure if all races and classes can fly, or if it's just my winged elf archer) You can also fight while on mounts. It's a grind, of course, but there's been worse (Rappelz?). It's a bit confusing as of now, as everyone tries to figure things out. And of course there are some bugs, it's beta for goodness' sake. The graphics are pretty nice, and the character customization is incredible. You can adjust your character's physical appearance down to the very last detail, like the position of eyebrows, or if you want your eyes closed 24/7. As for the actual gameplay, there are only three races, two classes per race. As far as I know. There are a few weapons per class though, but it's still not much. I'm pretty sure there's something called manufacturing, I'm not sure on the details yet. The PvP sounds good, there are territories that guilds can conquer and fight for. And there's a PvP server. I'm willing to say it's already one of, if not the, best F2P MMORPG out there. It may be what rekindles my hope, but I doubt it will compare to WAR. This, and Google Chrome made my day. Two great things going into beta at once. \ Perfect World

Oh right, I have AIM and MSN, but I don't really use them.
  8. A few more things...(And this is using Google Chrome) -You can have multiple homepages. As in you can set it so multiple tabs, with multiple websites, open when you open the browser. I was under the impression that other browsers could do this, but maybe I was just missing out on something big. -You can't hold down the mouse wheel and scroll. :| (Not a big deal?) -A bit buggy in my opinion, some things aren't working properly. Oh well, should be fixed eventually. Anyway, just keep in mind it's the beta, and the first few days. It can't be perfect yet. Though it is Google, so it should.

Which is what I mean by maximum potential. I hope your not referring to me when you say top tier... We all know that you didn't pick Snake because he's so broken. :twss: But you hack, so who cares? :twss: Wow. That smiley is addicting. I'll probably play more once the school year starts. How ironic. Really though, I've barely played this summer, since I've been out of my house so much. School comes, I have a bunch of homework, stuck at home all the time. More Wii time. Yay.

Ganondorf is probably my second or third best character. Gf tiers. People who play a character solely because that character is top tier annoy me. Not to mention people have different playstyles, so a character who is top tier to someone could be low tier to someone else.
  11. Okay, decided I'm going to give it a good chance. Right now, the two things that annoy me are the lack of adblock, and that I have to use the normal Gmail. Not my uber-cool Firefox Gmail skin. But when the comic mentioned the V8 Team, I knew I was in. Why use Firefox when you could've had a V8?
  12. Just installed it, it's okay. It takes a bit getting used to, like everything else. I'll probably stick with Firefox for now simply because of the add-ons, and I'm not in the mood for change. Yet. Maybe I'll go with a new browser to go with the new school year.
  13. ...So we're letting this live? I thought that said "If you can't beat 'em, kill their sheep." -.- I posted a bunch in the last thread about this, which was only like a month ago...They were mainly ones from Lord of the Rings, like Theoden's Death Speech and a bunch of Gandalf's sayings.
  14. ThurinEthir replied to Caxis's topic in Off-Topic
...And here I was, a few months ago, thinking King Dedede was one of the worst characters in the game... -.- Toon Link and Olimar are a bit lower than I expected, but I haven't really been following along. At least Ganondorf is still in the cellar...
  15. I start on the fourth. Whatever. A bit anxious/nervous/excited/randomotheradjective.

Wine? Really? Where? I go back to school Thursday.
  17. Anyone who uses Myspace does not deserve to be stalked. :-$ Like you. OH SHI-. :?
  18. Mine cost like $1000. Worth it. :| It's an ASUS F8Sn (Yay Asus), B1 IIRC. 2.1 GHz, 3GB RAM (4 GB max), 250GB HD space, Nvidia 9500M GS (Video card...). Oh, and apparently no one answered the OP's main question. (We were too busy bashing the computer, I guess) Yes, you should be able to run RuneScape and something else at the same time. Any computer that can't probably fails hard. But like I said, if you want to play more high-end games, good luck. If you're willing to consider another laptop, try this. I'd get one with at least 2GB RAM and 1.8 GHz if I were you. And a decent video card.
  19. :owned: Lawl at smiley fail. I'll look into buying it then. Hopefully the Gamestop near me will have one in stock next time I go there. Nintendo is making a Pikmin 3, but the release date hasn't been announced yet. I'm trying to decide if I should just wait for it, or go ahead and get Pikmin 2. I found a used copy of Pikmin 2 at my local Gamestop, and it was like $44, which is basically the price of a Wii game... :?
  20. Do you want to see the list of games I have on Xfire? Do you really? Fine. Italicized the ones that I play once in a while, bolded the ones I've played in the last week. In order of total time played. Silkroad Online, Age of Empires (Rise of Rome), Civilization IV (Warlords), Combat Arms, Rappelz, Drift City, Age of Empires (Conquerors), Gunz, 9Dragons, RuneScape, Anarchy Online, Battle for Middle Earth, Fiesta, Gunbound, Spider Solitaire, Solitaire, Flyff, Chess Titans, Saga, Pinball, Voyage of the New World, Soldier Front, CABAL Online, Shadowbane, Inkball, Mahjong Titans, Minesweeper. -.- Of course, there are a bunch of other games that aren't listed. I have some of the Touhous, I play those once in a while. And random flash games. As noted in my list, Combat Arms is probably my main game at the moment. There's a thread here about it, go check it out if you want.
  21. I'm not saying I don't care about looks, of course I do. No way would I ever go out with a girl I consider ugly, unless she has an extremely, extremely, great personality. And of course looks are the first impression. Unless you can read minds, what other factor is there to consider before you even talk to a person? But I'm talking about those who really, really care about looks. Like if someone is average looking, but with a great personality, they wouldn't even consider them. But if there's a hot chick, and she's basically a spoiled brat, they would. For the record, yes, I'm a terrible liar. :|
  22. Anyone who doesn't know this is an idiot. I'm the same way with girls. Looks count for something, but I like a girl with a great personality better than the hottest girl around because the girl I choose is going to be the hottest in my eyes. I think there's a period of time (Middle school? Beginning of high school?) that looks really matter, but after that, it becomes like you say. Then it barely even matters at all. Of course, there are those [bleeps] who value looks a lot more than personality though.
  23. I'm not really sure what you're looking for, but maybe Second Life? I've never played it, but I know some people here have.
  24. Doesn't look too great if you want to be playing a bunch of games. It might suffice for normal web browsing, probably RuneScape...But 1GB RAM? Seriously? That still exists? How about a video card? And the 1.6 GHz is a bit...Urghhh.
  25. Cant be as long as the "Left Behind" series (its a melodrama about the events that would happen according to the bible at the end of the world, im not Christian but it was an amazng read) 12 Books in the Original Series 3 Prequels 1 Post-Original Series Huge kids series The kids books are like 100 some pages long, and the rest are 400-500 pages long each. I read all but the kids series (I cant be bothered and its cannon anyway) I've heard of them, I think I might have read one. I don't remember. The Sword of Truth uses those really dense pages with ink on basically every square of space, and the longest is just about a thousand pages, IIRC. Someone here said they were about 8000 pages in total, sounds right. For the record though, has anyone else read the Boxcar Children? I was obsessed with them when I was little. There are over a hundred of them, all at over a hundred pages. Of course, each page has like 100 words.
