  1. Obama because all the cool people are voting for him. Nah, I like him because I agree with him on more policies. And I disagree with McCain on more. I wonder if anyone in Boston will vote for the Boston Tea Party guy. Whoever he is.
  2. You're not the only one having technical problems. The past day or two, I've disconnected a lot, and I'm getting errors left and right. I might have been hacked though, I doubt it as nothing has changed on my account, and I've changed my password twice, on different computers. And I hate it how I always get addicted to some great F2P game right before my birthday (After I get back from Taiwan as well), and then I get some fun new game. I'll try to find time to keep playing, but between school work, and the numerous strategy games I've accumulated over the years, I don't know if I will.
  3. First, I have to pick the threads I read. As a rule, I read all locked threads. I don't know why, it's just something I do. It has something to do with me wanting to know why the thread was locked...Don't know why I do that, maybe it's because I want to make sure I don't do the same thing one day at get my thread locked. Then, of course, I'll pick threads I'm interested in. I'm not a huge politics person, so I may or may not read those, but I'll definitely read anything I can probably contribute to. Like "Pen spinning." I rarely let a thread get long before I read any of it. If something isn't appealing to me when it first appears, it still won't be when it's at 20 pages. Like I never read that homosexuality thread, as it just doesn't interest me. If somehow a thread gets ahead of me, I will end up reading the whole thing no matter what. My curiosity controls me, it just happens. If there are extremely long posts, I will most likely just skim them, I've found that I spend way too much time on these forums. I will keep up with any thread I post in, as if someone replies to my post, which is pretty rare, I want to know about it. If I don't post in a thread, but I'm interested, I will also keep up with it. Maybe not as intensely, but I will still read it. If a thread drags on and I know I will never have anything to contribute, my interest in it will eventually die out and I'll forget about it.

I smoke to relieve stress. Stick with pen spinning. Better for your health. Ewww...smoking :-# Why not spin cigarettes? Kills two birds with one stone, relieves twice the stress! :P Not promoting smoking in any way, I don't smoke.

That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Anyone remember the case about that girl who put a picture of George Bush and a gun (Or was it a knife?) on her Myspace? Freedom of expression right? not familiar with the story but im guessing she got in trouble? You would have to give me some details before I can say rather the girl or authorities went to far. I don't remember exactly what happened, but yes she got in trouble. There was a thread here about it, I'll try to dig it up later. I'm not sure what the result was, I'm pretty sure she was let off the hook, as it was a teenager, and it was done as a joke. I'm not really sure why I brought it up, as flag burning for the purpose of rebellion is much different.

Eh, I daydream and pen spin. Honestly, I do it subconsciously. Though yes, the fact that I do drop it quite a lot is annoying. Can't stop doing those thumbarounds when walking though. :|

I penspin, it's a habit. Not just pens, I guess, anything that it works with. Rulers, pieces of wood, etc. I don't really pay much attention to it, I just learn from watching. Basically all the guys at my church (Youth group, at least) do it, so that's where I first learned. No one at my school other than me does it, maybe some will pick it up soon though. I can do Sonic, Charge, Fingerpass (Reverse fingerpass?) and thumbaround. I think. Don't really know the name of tricks.
  9. You can be suspended for calling someone stupid? I would be expelled by now then.

Are we talking about the same game here? Because I could have sworn I saw the US win against Argentina earlier today...
  11. For me it's perfectly normal. When I walk on the streets, I take a look around, in front of me, behind me, then I just look at my feet. If I sense someone/something else nearing me, I'll look up and find out what it is. If it's a person, I'll move off to the side, and let them pass with a glimpse at them. Then when they're behind me, I'll look over my shoulder to make sure they don't double back to kill/kidnap me or something. That's in my not-very-crowded city though, if I'm in downtown Boston, Taipei or New York (All places I've been in the last few weeks), I have to keep my eyes alert. Yay for paranoia.
  12. Quote, meet siggy. Siggy, meet quote. Oh, great. Whatever. I think it really depends on the person, to be honest. Each person has different...Signs, and you'll just know. What Intriguing said sounds right, some people (Extroverts) will probably go for it and all touchy-feely, while other people (Introverts) will most likely act a bit more nervous. Also a cultural thing, as brought up...Apparently.
  13. Hmmm....I just always try to make contact with everyone I'm speaking to. Even if I have to force it. Contact, or eye contact? Did I just fall into a trap? I'm a *bit* anti-social, I normally can't bring myself to make eye contact with anyone. The girl I mentioned earlier is no exception.
  14. I really doubt it's an unconscious thing. Like your hand won't just reach out and wipe something off someone's shirt without even thinking about it. Though I have to say, one time, I was sitting with a girl outside, during French...I had a piece of grass on my shoe, and she wiped that off. Yeah. Impressive, eh? That's probably the closest I've ever been to having sex. :P

Uh...I think my Wiimote ran out of batteries. Yeah. Edit: Something was up with my batteries, it didn't work for a while, then I took them out and put them back in and Falco was up and kicking. Still no better than I was before I left, eh? Worse, probably. I resorted to picking random characters after a while.

I will get on...Soon. I need to add people. I think.
  17. I always stand with my hands in my pockets. Unless I'm penspinning. Anyway, I guess it's all related to being nervous. Or wanting to be nice to the other person.
  18. A USB mouse came with my ASUS laptop (It's an ASUS mouse, go figure), it works fine. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I do fine in Combat Arms with it. 64-bit Vista is better in general, I think, but has more compatibility issues. I have 32-bit, for the record. As for games, I would look into another Blizzard game. Diablo (2), or Starcraft, or wait until Starcraft 2. I wouldn't get WoW, I would wait until WAR. (About a month, I think) That is, if WAR doesn't fail like AoC did.
  19. The most helpful dialect will most likely be Mandarin. Still, it's an extremely hard language to learn, if you can even find a way. Which reminds me, I should start learning some Cantonese and Taiwanese. I can't stand it when my parents/relatives speak them and I don't understand a word.
  20. Ignoring that ignorant statement, you may want to get a USB mouse. That is, if one doesn't come with it. Also, are you getting XP or Vista? If you're getting Vista, you may want to check the compatibility on some of those games, I can tell you that Civ4 works fine, and that BFME randomly either works or doesn't work. Otherwise, any preferences? Strategy, shooter, what? The Total War series is good if you want strategy, which I'm assuming you do as you have quite a few of those on your list.
  21. I'd go become a ninja and hide out in the middle of nowhere. Depending on the two forces against each other, especially the relations between China and the US (And possibly Japan), moving to Taiwan would be a possibility.
  22. I'm not sure what I'd think if someone called me Asian-American. My mom was born in Taiwan, my dad was born in Hong Kong (Though under British rule), and neither of them are citizens. I was born in Taiwan, not a citizen either. However, I've spent a good deal of my life in the US, though I also lived in Taiwan for a portion of my childhood. That being said, I'm in the minority at my school either way. Most people here are Jewish (Possibly some Catholics), and are filthy rich white kids. I'm Asian, Protestant, and a bit lower on the social scale. People assume I'm smart, because I'm Asian, but I guess they have good reason to. We do make up the fourth best math team in the state. Honestly though, I have never heard anyone refer to anyone else with a "vulgar" term here...We're all nice kids...Yeah... It depends on the intent behind the words, not the words themselves. If you're in a middle of an argument with someone and they pop out "ginger" or whatever, that's going a bit too far. If you're joking around, and it pops out, oh well, laugh it off, move on. (For the record, there are like 2 redheads at my school. Go figure.)
  23. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/08/21/ten ... index.html I wonder if that would've been prevented if an teacher or principal there had a gun. I personally am sitting on the fence right now, I can see the benefits of teachers having concealed guns, but I can also see the consequences. I don't know which one outweighs the other.

Anyone else ever try eating two lollipops at once? #-o At school once, we had this barter day thing where we traded things. A ton of people brought candy, so I went home with a huge stock. Ate it all in a few hours. Oh, and one of my friends brought a ton of fudge, I traded him "all my base" for it. There's also this great chocolate pound cake thingy that you can only buy in Taiwan, I love it, and I ate 7 slices in a row once. :?
  25. Isn't this like the fifth topic on this? The other ones are probably dead though. -.- And I'm sure I have more. Basically, I'm really paranoid. I don't think I mentioned it, but I'm always double checking, and looking over my shoulder.
