  1. Ahh, it's out already? I'm so getting it.
  2. Yeah, Crusader was actually much better live (if that is possible). My favourites from the gig must've been 747 (Strangers In the Night), Denim & Leather, And the Bands Played On, Crusader, Dogs of War. And, as I said, I was positively surprised by Requiem. But 'And the Bands Played On' was [bleep]ing intense; moreso than the others. So naturally I had to learn to play it as soon as I got home. :P edit: I was a bit disappointed, however, that they didn't play Overture In B-Minor Refugee. Definitely one of my favourites.
  3. Late but you lucky [bleep] . I'd kill to see them live. Yep. It was pretty awesome. They played all the classic tunes (747, Princess of the Night, Dogs of war, And the bands played on, Crusader, Motorcycle Man, Denim & Leather, Strong Arm of the Law, Requiem (We will remember) <-- dedicated it to Phil Lynott and other musicians who's met an early death, etc. etc.). I also caught a drumstick (Hellfueled's...). I was surprised by how awesome Requiem was. I usually dislike cheesy rock ballads... but man, they are pretty damn effective when seen live.
  4. The tone on his guitar... was out of this world. Thin Lizzy - Rosalie. Ultimate summer-tune. Gather a few friends for a bbq, crack some beers open, and blast this one out. Instant win.
  5. Thin Lizzy - Soldier of Fortune. Twin guitars = win.
  6. A lot of people try out a number of classes before deciding for the one they enjoyed playing as the most. I just picked one and went with it all the way to level 60, though, before trying out the other ones. So either try them/a few out first before deciding, or simply pick one. One procedure is more lengthy than the other, but might result in a more fun experience. I don't truly believe that though. I believe they're all more or less equally fun to play. And no matter which class you pick you will still enjoy playing it in the end. I believe the whole "I'm gonna try out each and every class!!" is, well maybe not bs per se, but I'd say a bloody waste of time, and will probably result in either: you have a crapload of level 10-30 chars by the time you could have one single level 60-70 char, or you will just get tired of it and stop playing without experiencing any of the end-game content (raiding, getting purplz, ganking lowbies) which is when the game actually starts, or you will try them all out, get them to level 30 or whatever, and you may, or may not, have a level 70 char before Blizzard releases the new expansion pack and further raises the level cap. My bit of advice: just pick a class. Close your eyes and point on one... or pick a number and see which one it lands on.
  7. Where are you from? If you're from the US then yes, I think most people here play on Burning Blade. If you live on the EU side, roll one on Shattered Hand. :P And yes you can make multiple chars on multiple realms (I think there's some limit of like... 50 chars all in all that you can have). ... Someone pewpew to Shattered Hand!
  8. There's this one particular brittish accent I just cannot stand. I don't know whereabout it originates from; but I saw this reality documentary show on tv once, about a bunch of chavs who were sent to some learn-to-[bleep]ing-behave-properly camp, and they all had this accent. Also I believe the "chav" in Little Britain has this accent. I mean, it's supposed to be English, right? Well it sure doesn't sound like it. I don't know if it's me being Swedish or not, but they only seem to pronounce like 20% of the actual words: "wah, dah, bah, tah, mah". That's what it sounds like to me. Anybody know which one I'm talking about? There aren't many Swedish stereotypes that I find annoying. However, the whole "what, you guys have summer over there?!" is just stupid. And all swedes aren't blondes. Hell, I'm dark brown and my parents are almost black-haired. Both my sisters are blondes though... :P
  9. Fantomen (The Phantom) has got to be mine. His jungle sayings are just spot on: "He who looks upon the Phantom's face unmasked will die horribly" "The Phantom only warns once..." "When Phantom moves, time stands still" "Never point a gun at the Phantom." "The Phantom has the strength of ten tigers" "Call the Phantom anywhere and he will hear." "The cold voice of the angry Phantom can freeze blood." "The Phantom's cold fury chills even tigers blood." "Phantom moves faster than eyes can see." Simple, and to the point. God, I used to love reading these comics as a kid. I didn't know they were still being published.
  10. Grrr, Dream Theater is coming to Sweden, but none of my friends want to go with me. Lame. Danzig - Mother. Glenn Danzig is a great lyricist.
  11. Admittedly, that might have been true pre-TBC. However, now it seems to be more or less equally divided age-wise (kids go for blood elves). Speaking from personal experience from playing a horde on Shattered Halls to level 52 right after TBC was released, and what my friends have told me. I don't know what it's like on other servers though. In my current guild the average age is 18. Some are a bit older, some are a bit younger. And I'm Alliance. rocketman, I don't know what it's like nowadays, but in pre-TBC we had the same problem. Alliance won, literally, 98% of the AV games. However, horde completely ruled WSG. On AB it was about 60-40 (Alliance being the less). Horde won WSG because almost every game I joined was a premade.
  12. Yeah, Shattered Hand has a lot of belgian and dutch players. There are also a lot of swedes I'm afraid; but since you want that, I'd say SH would be a good server for you. Bubsa, why did you stop playing on SH? :(
  13. Woo :D \m/. Love that song. Summoning- Ashen Cold. Simply amazing band. /me saw it live yesterday (almost front row). 8-) Wishbone Ash - Enigma.
  14. Saxon - And The Bands Played On. Catchy as hell.
  15. Left pocket: MP3-player. Right pocket: Keys, pencil, eraser, guitar picks. Right-back pocket: Loose change and occasionally schoolpapers. Left-back pocket: Wallet. I have my cellphone, pass card for school and my train/bus pass in my jacket pockets.
  16. I feel ya. I wonder what it is that makes the majority of WoW players... the way they are. I really haven't experienced the same mentality in other gaming communities. As for other communities, well, the only one I really use besides the official one (I tend to browse it occasionally when I have nothing better to do) is the SomethingAwful forums one. I don't know if it's restricted to members only (since it was initially meant for members of the SA guild), but there's a lot of general and useful information there. You can't post unless you're a member though. It's under Games > Guild Servers > WoW: Goon Squad. Other than that... worldofraids.com? *shrug* I've always thought thottbot or wowhead should start their own forums. But then again, I doubt they would be much different from the official ones. Still the same people playing the game.
  17. Jesus christ, you're a terrible poster. Stop it.
  18. I did it at 65. But yeah, the quest is probably meant for 66-67's mainly. However if you find a good group it shouldn't be a problem. Nobody in my group whined at my level 65-ness, so meah... *shrug* And yes, mutilate is a beautiful talent. :)
  19. I just did the Ring of Blood questchain in Nagrand. Best. Quest. Ever. 5 group quest: we had a 70 paladin, a 70 mage, 66 hunter and 67 warrior. You enter this "ring" and you're challenged by 6 bosses. Each boss killed gives you ~11k exp (or more), a bit over 10g (some of the bosses reward you with health, heavy netherweave badages and mana pots as well). And in the end there are 6 rewards (blue weapons) to choose from; all great. I choose Ceremonial Warmaul Blood-blade. However, make sure your group runs up, together, to the questgiver each time you've killed a boss though. I didn't realise this so I only got the reward for the first boss. We agreed to do it all over again though. In less than 10 minutes, I ended up with +70k exp, 10 health and mana pots, 20x heavy netherweave bandages, over 70g richer and with a new mainhand weapon. More quests like this Blizz! Oh and for a few bosses we even had hordes helping us out (not like we needed it though). :P
  20. The actual Stunwatch addon doesn't work with Ace2 - I'm using RogueTimerFu but it doesn't tell you *when* you need to restun. Have you tried Natur EnemyCastBar? I use it. It shows what the enemy is casting + a stunwatch and it also shows the cooldown on certain attacks such as Cheap Shot. Great addon.
  21. Uhh. :uhh: Correction: Metalcore: Lamb of God, Trivium Thrash: Holy Moses, Slayer Black Metal: Illnath Grindcore: Nasum Gothic metal: Lacuna Coil Powermetal: Children Of Bodom The rest should be correct. A lot of my friends listen to these bands... I only listen to a few of them. Classic rock/hard rock/progressive rock (each band should fall into one of those three categories): Thin Lizzy Deep Purple Led Zeppelin Rush UFO Wishbone Ash Queen ZZ Top Rainbow Rory Gallagher Uriah Heep Pink Floyd Ted Nugent Dire Straits Black Sabbath Creedence Clearwater Revival Thrash: Overkill Slayer (old) Megadeth Kreator Pantera Heavy Metal: Judas Priest Iron Maiden Dio Danzig Black Label Society Ozzy Osbourne Heaven & Hell Saxon Instrumental Rock: Joe Satriani Steve Vai Jeff Beck Marty Friedman Eric Johnson Progressive metal: Ayreon The Black Mages Dream Theater Opeth Tool
  22. Tallest in my family. I'm not overly tall or anything though, I'm around 6'0.
  23. I've finally got my epic mount!! ... But I can't ride it yet. I need to borrow 35g from a friend who's raiding Gruul at the moment. And yes, it took me almost a year to get it (I registered May 25th). :(
