If you have an AMD processor, you may need to download the latest drivers (check the UT3 "Feedback" forum). I had the same problems you have, and after downloading the drivers it worked perfectly.

Well, I got the game downloaded and all, but it crashes as soon as I get to the main screen. I uninstalled, and tried again, same thing. There shouldn't be a problem as far as specs are concerned; I can play Bioshock on full settings (except the DX10) and WoW at the same time, also full settings (don't ask... BG queues are a [bleep]). Perhaps bothering to read the damn OP before you post could give you a slight hint as to where you can get it? A quick google search usually does the trick as well. Christ.

Not out here until the 18th. I preordered it yesterday. Been waiting a long time for a box like this, since I don't own a copy of HL2 myself, nor have I played EP 1. Man, I don't think I can remember the last time I actually bought a game.

Sweet. I now have access to a protection warrior and a mage - as well as an assload of low-levels. It belongs to a RL friend of mine who's basically stopped playing now until WoTLK comes out. So I asked if I could activate his account and play on his characters, and he said sure. The warrior one used to MT for Ye Olde. Any warrior here who could fill me in on what abilities to use while MTing? I know the jist of it (taunt, thunderclap), but in case there's something else that's important? Since I'm thinking about voluntering to tank in Karazhan and Gruul's. I'm probably better off reading some guides though. [hide] [/hide] This is great. Wait, are you asking if you can use the expansion material without having actually bought it? No, no you can't.

That's why you get a huge library of music. :) Not sure what your definition of a huge library is, but my mp3 player of 30gb is full, and it basically consists of my very "favorites" - whereas my playlist on the computer has close to 14 000 songs... I don't know how many gbs it is though. My point though is that, sure, I understand if you have music on in the background (e.g. letting it play through your speakers) while doing other things, because then you're not really paying much attention to the music. What I don't quite understand, however, is how someone can sit with their headphones on all days listening to, basically, the same stuff. Because - unless you have an incredibly broad and diverse taste in music - it's basically the same type of music you're listening to. I don't know, I just get tired of it after a few hours (using headphones)... and I think some people in this thread might be exaggerating just a little.

Funny story I just remembered: A few weeks ago, while idling in Ironforge this guy invites me to a group, and against my better judgement and partly out of curiousity to see what he wants, I accept the invitation. Upon asking him what he wants, he replies simply with "duel", I turn him down more politely than was probably needed; cue him flipping out and start calling me names (???). I put him on ignore. I then inspect him. I think I laughed for a good solid minute. Points of interest: chest enchant and hit rating. What's important to note here, is that he didn't have any of those epics back then, and most of his gear was consisted of quest-greenies, which, makes it even funnier in my eyes. To this day, I don't understand how he could possibly have come to the conclusion that he could take me down. Alright, my gear isn't great by any means, but compared to his back then... I wouldn't be surprised if I was able to auto-attack him to death.

Sure I love* music, but I don't spend every waking moment listening to it (don't really understand how anybody could... don't you get tired of listening to the same stuff over and over again?). I listen to my mp3 player if I'm going somewhere, and usually I can spend an hour or two listening to it before going to bed. At my old job I listened to a radio station that only plays rock classics, and I found it made the job I did much less tedious than, for example, when they used to play a station that only played '70-'80 pop and disco songs. It nearly drove me insane listening to that stuff 10-12 hours a day. *my sort of music.

I must say, very nice work, Nadril. During the time I've seen you making digital art (I think you started about the same time I did, a number of years ago?) your work has always been very inconsistent. Most of it was mediocre at best, and then once in a while you'd throw something together that was pretty impressing. But that was it. Even the recent inferno sig you used for a good while was - hm, alright. But this. This is very, very nice stuff. And yes I honestly think you could make some real cash if you kept this up. In some of the pieces, the text could be improved somewhat, though. I doubt I'll swing by these boards anytime soon/ever again, so if you make something new... be sure to tell me one way or another (a.k.a get on msn once in a while dude).
