  1. God, she's hideous. And a horrible person aswell. ...Also, she has herpes. Seriously.
  2. What a stupid thing to start trouble over. OH NOES NOT THE WAR HEROES! Guess what? You lost the war. Go hop in a fire. Also, Russia is too big. I think the only way to solve this is to split Russia into several smaller countries. I'm thinking Russiastan, Brokistan and Commistan. Sound good?
  3. No, they already served their time. We aren't saying the government should build them houses but they should be able to live somewhere and not be forced under a bridge. Again, they already served their time and they were released. Its no longer 'justice'. TIME SERVED DOESN'T END AFTER A 15 YEAR STRING IN PRISON. Does the victims pain just END after a certain period of time? No. It'll be with them for life. Part of these guys' parole is that they have to see their PO and check in with them, and that they cannot live anywhere near children. This, apparently, is the only way they've found for now to make this possible. What do you want, honestly? The government to build them all a house to live in and give them money and food so that they can stay away from people? It'd be nice, but it'd also be a reward for them, not a punishment. The ideal "justice" would have been these guys being put to death to begin with. Sorry, you don't rape a kid and expect anything less. Would YOU?
  4. My girlfriend. My car. Some guy smashed into it, insurance denied my claim and gave me 2 accident points for no reason...That'll all end up costing me a couple grand over a few years.
  5. They're surrounded by ocean...Are they not desalinating sea water to use if its REALLY that bad?
  6. No, it won't. The plane would be going from full-speed to dead-stop in the air once it lifted off. It would have to surpass the treadmills ability to keep up with the airplane for it to be able to take off (thus having actual forward movement, not similated forward movement). And that would make the whole thing worthless anyways because then it'd be taking off on normal ground. This is kind of an amatuer physics problems, since it's kinda' obvious. I hope physicists aren't like...Actively debating this...Or something.
  7. Yay, another rights violater in training! I'd recommend going to college for 4 years. For anything. If you're still interested in it by then, join the FBI. At least they get paid more. Barely.
  8. You mean other than Castro? It also stands for Communism. WE HAVE A WINNER!
  9. No, I meant you CAN change them, but you SHOULND'T. Thus "can't". As in, it'd be the worst thing ever. Deloria, you think it'd be the downfall of America to never change the Constitution? You are aware that NOONE in the government is your friend, right? They're not here to make you life better. They're not here to protect you. When things start changing, it will be to remove more of your freedoms through sneaky bills the The PATRIOT Act. With that one bill, the government can essentially do whatever they want to you or your belongings, all they have to do is suspect you're a terrorist. All that takes is one "I'm going to kill you!" joking threat or some punk trying to get you into [cabbage] telling people you're an Al-Queda sympathizer or something. You're welcome to buy into the "We are oh-so-free!" propoganda, but it jsut isn't true anymore, and the saddest thing is that the ones considered "Patriots" are the ignorant ones who follow the government and whatever they say. Our country was founded because the founders wanted freedmo from a tyranical country with crazy laws and stuff, and now we are becoming that same country, only modernized and, I'm guessing, it'll probably be worse. I'm sure I'll be alive when I see the day a lot of people decide to up and flock to a different country because ours will suck. And yes, I am glad the Bill of Rights can never be changed, but guess what? It will be. Ever heard of the NAO? It's an idea that the government has been tossing around for a while now. It involves merging America, Canada and Mexico all as one "country" so that we all share the same interests and resources and blah blah blah. If that were to happen, the constitution and the Bill of Rights could be changed completely. So have fun thinking the government is your friend. :) I'm moving to the Netherlands or something while I still can. To the above poster: Those men who wrote those rights were the wisest men ever. They just wanted to live in a country that made sense for once, and reading the Bill of Rights is 100% proof of this. How many of those laws make NO SENSE? None. They all make perfect sense and are very free. How many laws NOW make no sense at all and should just be gone? A ton. We lost our wiseness in exchange for greed.
  10. That big ole' C would be a nice wind collector. Doubt that'd be enough to break it, though. I think that right above the middle, it would snap. Which is okay, because the lower half of the C makes for a nice place for the top half to land. They'd fit together just right! :P But in all seriousness, I think it would work if it were a full circle. a "C" isn't very stable, even with supports like that, I'd wager. Also, you have to think of how the rooms would be shaped...They'd almost all have a 45 degree angle (give or take) on one end of the floor. Weird. May I recommend something to you? I've noticed you've posted several things having to do with architechture type things, so I am guessing it's an interest...Go out, buy some balsa wood sticks and some wood glue and go to town. ;) We made bridges in shop class that were about...Ehh...A foot long and 6 inches tall or so, and mine was like the 3rd highest weight supporter (240 some pounds, 1st place was over 300 pounds of pressure before breaking) it was actually really fun. You'd measure angles, cut the sticks with a razor and then glue them all flat (2D), one wall (or ceiling or floor) at a time, then glue it all together (3D). It was really interesting and I think you'd have fun making some crazy stuff in your free time...If you have any. :P
  11. I know that some do reform themselves, but I've heard between 75-90% reoffend within a year of their release. It's a sexual thing...They're not going to stop. The ones who DO reform themselves will even tell you that the thoughts are still there, they just don't act upon them. I feel the only ones who are truely and fully reformed are the ones who have themselves castrated voluntarily so that they won't even have the urge, to me that shows they're very sorry for what they did...Or that they just don't want to risk going back to jail, but either way. *Shrug* I just think that the whole system sucks. I've heard of rapists getting 5 years and someone who sold over an ounce of marijuana getting 15. It's just all pretty crazy.
  12. I think the scariest thing here is that Deloriagod thinks that the X number of years they were sentanced to is completely fitting for the crime they committed, and that when they've served the time, they should essentially be considered reformed criminals full of remorse, and essentially should be forgiven. As far as I'm concerned, every rapist/child molester should be put to death. They WILL reoffend and they've already ruined someone's life. Why give them another chance? They're no better than murderers in any way. Prison is not a place where remorse builds. It is a place where hatred builds. Prison is like the worst system ever invented. If you killed a dude, sorry, you're going to die too. Rape someone? Okay, death. The only people who actually deserve prison is like...Someone who truely didn't know any better, AKA, the mentally ill. Everyone will go in and come back out even more pissed off, PLUS have a felony on their record, which will make them HAVE to turn to crime to survive. You can't get a job with a felony on your record, and selling drugs and robbing banks is a pretty promising career, assuming you can pull it off. Too bad for the criminals, most of them are far too stupid to pull it off and are caught and tossed in prison. Ever hear of the Tennessee Marijuana Cave? A couple guys built a pot grow operation under a house the guy purchased inside of a natural cave formation...It was about 250 yards long, filled with Marijuana. They were producing so much marijuana that they had to drive to Arizona to hire illegal aliens for a few days, blind folding them to get them there, and then paying them $10/hr to harvest their crop for them over a few days. Know how they were finally caught? Because the guy, in all of his wisdom building this massive fortress to grow pot in (and trust me, it was genius), failed to realize that STEALING ELECTRICITY FROM POWER LINES is the #1 fastest way to get busted doing anything. The guy didn't have enough power to fuel the lights in his operation, so rather than cutting down the operation a little bit, he stole electricity and was busted almost immediately. Got 18 years in federal prison and $61,000 needed to be paid for the stolen electricity. The guy was making 8 million dollars per year off this whole thing (there was three of them, so a couple million a peice, they all owned large houses and boats and cars) and he got greedy and stupid. I digress, just wanted to tell that story. The point was that criminals are stupid and when they get out of prison, they'll have to reoffend just to survive.
  13. Remorse or not, they still viscously raped someone, and a child at that. It is unforgivable, and as the victim will be scarred for life, the offender must pay his dues - for life. If you have any sympathy for these guys because they have to live under a bridge, you're a total tool. What else do you suggest? Government funded housing? Yea, right. Bottom line is that they're being punished for doing something horrible.
  14. You don't know how long I've been waiting for someone other than myself to say this.. Seriously, laws need to change as society progresses. If anyone here has ever looked into those laws that are still around but no longer enforced, we could get in trouble for a lot of things we do these days. I'm not for making guns illegal, however, I do think they should be harder to get your hands on than they are. You CANNOT change the constitution. EVER. The second you change ONE thing on it, everything is open to be changed. First amendment? Nope, no more. Fourth? Nope, sorry. Gone. I'll let the rednecks keep their guns, thanks. I kinda' like being able to say what I want. The PATRIOT Act is already taking care of the fourth amendment. See my sig? Yea, that's due to the PATRIOT Act. Because of it, local police were able to raid my friend's house just because someone claimed he was selling drugs. They went in, found a pipe (but no drugs, he used the pipe for flavored tobacco lol) and then claimed that it was paraphenelia, and therefore, all his belongings were somehow purchased with drug money, so they took them and sold them at Sherriff Auction. Nice, huh? Yea, I'm moving out of America ASAP. It'll be a police state soon enough.
  15. Get rid of ALL of the guns and hold on - ONE HUNDRED percent of people don't kill people with guns! COOL!!! THAT'S EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE. No there is no sarcasm here, it's common sense. So please, disembark the vehicle if you choose not to use your brain. IDIOT! Maybe you should use yours, hmm? Read the rest of the thread, perhaps? Huh? Yea, thought so. Guess what is illegal almost universally on this Earth? Marijuana. Guess what people have anyways? MARIJUANA. Same goes for guns. You make them illegal, people WILL own them, and the ONLY people who have them will be the criminals. Sound safer to you?
  16. And what do you propose? Banning guns? Yea, good idea. So .0000001% of America's population kills people with guns every year, and I'm willing to wager about half are not even US citizens? Ever heard of the Latin gangs in California/Chicago/Etc? Lots of murders, surely, and lots of illegal aliens, too! Either way, it still leaves the 99.999999% of us with guns that don't kill people.
  17. I would. Sex offenders almost ALWAYS reoffend. Murderers, less so. Sex offenses are just that...Crimes of sexual nature. If thats what gets them their jollies, they're going to do it again. I don't know of many people who get their jollies by murdering. Murder is usually a crime of necessity. Read up a bit more on murderers, especialy serial killers Tigra. Murderers don't just do it for no reason, and often the reason if fueled behind something else such as monterary gain, sexual natures or in the case of some serial killers just the plesure of killing and the feeling it gives you. Thus why I said usually. I'm well aware of the exceptions such as serial killers, and I would wager I know more about them than you, even. I read a lot. :
  18. What, that 98% of stats are made up on the spot? Yea, that's why I said it must be something like that, not that it is. I'm sure it's much higher.
  20. Most murders are premeditated in one way or another. Know what those shooters would have used to kill those people if they didn't have guns? Probably something worse. Explosives...Knives...Anything. Those murders were premeditated, they just weren't planned per person. And again, yes, if someone in my family was killed by some [wagon] with a gun, I would not be rallying for anti-gun laws. Again, I'm aware that it's the person, not the gun. The ratio of people who responsibly own guns to those who kill with them has got to be like, 1000:1 at least, lol.
  21. I don't believe anyone owes you an explanation as to WHY they have a gun. He could have a shotgun for the same reason I have a shotgun - It was passed down my family. I've never shot it, even, but I still own it because it was given to me. My dad won a .22 pistol as a door prize at some event. He still owns it, but he's never fired it. It's in a locked case in his closet. I've never even SEEN it myself. People own guns for any reason they please. Some people just like to collect them. My grandpa has several pistols, including a golden .22 or .45 (I forget which) that has eagles and the American flag and stuff painted on it. He just owns it because it looks cool. So to your question, would I still support guns if one of my family members was killed by one? YES. Obviously, I have the sense to realize that it isn't the gun that killed my family member, it's the individual. And even if they didn't have a gun, they would have found SOME way to kill them anyways! And to those saying you should make guns illegal, period...Take this into account - Even if there WASN'T a black market for criminals (there would be, trust me), do you realize how easy it is to make a gun? Gang bangers in city's MAKE them all the time. They're usually just little 1-shotters, but people have been killed by them. So either way, you can't stop it.
  22. Heard about this months ago. Are we supposed to feel bad for them? Some here have said it's inhumane to make them live under a bridge...Tell me, did they not sacrifice their humanity by taking someone elses and raping them like they were a worthless peice of meat? I submit that, yes, yes they did. Anyone who sympathizes with these guys is nothing but a bowl full of Stupid Flakes. They can't rape someone and then expect pity later because they have to live under a bridge. Don't like it? Punch your P.O. in the arm and go back to jail.
  23. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
  24. The life of a soldier isn't what you think it is. Not in Iraq anyways. According to my friend who just spent 2 years in Iraq as a Combat Medic, you are often ordered to kill civilians as part of "interrogation". He told me his unit killed quite a few, and that most of the soldiers are very traumatized because of it. If you want to see the life of a soldier you're being told they're having, go to Youtube. Plenty of violent gun fights and stuff. Gaurentee you will not see them killing civilians on orders, though. Not sure if it's the same for other countries. I'd like to assume it isn't since America is so goddamn corrupted...I'd like to think other countries are "better".
  25. I'm not saying that blaming weapon laws is in any way an excuse for a killer. However, they do facilitate murder just by being available thus helping somebody to kill. The whole video games issue is an irrelevant argument in this context as that is a discussion of psychology & media impact. It's not irrelevant. It's comparable. You're saying that guns just being available is enough to blame it on the weapons for deaths. Guess what? Rally to make guns illegal, then. See what happens if it works. It means the only people that will have them is...hmm...CRIMINALS. Ever see a cop without a gun and a criminal with one? Yea, I've seen a dead cop too. Like I said, I'm not big on guns, but I don't believe they should be restricted. They should be carefully sold, yes, and they are, and it gets more careful all the time, but restricted completely? Yea, no thanks. I'd rather be able to own a weapon to shoot a criminal in the face someday, thanks.
