  1. Ehh...It's a bit different. They could kidnap him and easily ask for crazy randsoms, which would of course, be paid. Be it monitary or release of prisoners or whatever. And the likelyhood of him actually being released is like, zero. They'd probably just kill him. Also, it's not just about him. Him being there puts his whole unit in danger...More so than they would be at any other time. They'd be prime target #1.
  2. Black holes are collapsed stars, and thus, they're inside of galaxies...Kinda' hard to get a picture of that. We'd have to find one in our galaxy and then get a good picture of it. I don't know of ANY "real" pictures, only artist renderings.
  3. Because they were black.
  4. Well, the Bible doesn't say pedophilia is bad, soooo...According to you guys...
  5. If God exists, he exists whether I believe it or not. People used to believe Zeus existed too. Now hardly anyone does (if anyone at all?)...Sooo...Something existing is kinda' relevant to someone believing it exists. At least for God's. So are you saying that a God that created everything, only exists if his creation called man believes he exists? I'm saying there have been many God's who people thought LITERALLY existed. Now they are refered to as "mythology". Can you say they DON'T exist? Everyone assumes so. Or are you going by "whoever lasts the longest is the winner!"? God's will always come and go. People fail to realize that the popularity of a religion is directly proportional to one thing and one thing only - The numbers of kingdom's that have been conquered in it's name. Had Rome played it's cards better, we'd all be worshipping Roman "mythology" God's. Christian armies have been by far the most effecient at conquering, thus converting people, weither by choice or force, and those people teach their children and it is passed on as literal truth through those children. Islam is the second most popular religion for the same reason...Muslim's had some good armies. It wouldn't even be a religion today had they not fought off the Crusaders the best they could. Hindu and Buddhism aren't very popular anymore (less than 2% for both religion's) because they just...Don't fight. It's the same thing for languages...When an area is conquered by another army, the people of that area start to speak that language. Ever heard the expression "If not for our forefathers sacrifices, we'd all be speaking German/Japanese/etc etc etc" before? Of course you have. It's the same concept. Just because your God is the most popular doesn't make it the right God and it doesn't even mean he exists. Why is there even a question of "Who's the right God?" or "Who's the best God?", since when is God a popularity contest? Ah well. Allahu Akbar. Praise Jesus. Etc etc etc into infinity until someone cares.

  7. There are ethanol plants in South America and stuff that make Ethanol from Sugar Cane and they burn the material from Sugar Cane to make energy to make the fuel...Just an FYI. Hydrogen is also currently made by running electricity through water...That electricity is made by...burning oil!
  8. I heard they drive atop the hopes and dreams of small American children. True story?
  9. Doesn't really matter what homosexual's do anyways. Christianity is an easy religion to follow...You do WHATEVER you want, (besides blaspheming the Holy Spirit) then say "Oops, my bad. Sorry about that." on your death bed and you go to Heaven. A homosexual can lead WHATEVER LIFE HE WANTS and just say "Sorry" before he dies and be completely forgiven. Yes, they have to mean it...But how hard is that when you think you'll go to Hell if you don't mean it? Not very. I find Christianity's message to be very dangerous in that sense...A murderer can just be remorseful and still be rewarded...Essentially, it tosses morality out the window because as long as you don't say anything bad about the Holy Spirit, you can do anything.
  10. Just not attracted to girls, I guess. It'd be like a homosexual asking you why you don't just have sex with guys.
  11. National average right now is $2.60...I dunno' what it is right here at the moment. I haven't gone to town for a while, and I haven't had a car for months due to some redneck imbred [developmentally delayed] hitting me and not paying for it. Sooo, yea. :D I personally don't give a crap about Anna Nichole Smith and can't understand why anyone would. She did drugs and died...End of story. She's like Paris Hilton...No talent, yet everyone cares about them. Paradox, anyone? I do kinda' care about who the father of her kid is, though. I know it doesn't matter at all and isn't important news, but that Howard Stern guy KNOWS it isn't his, and that Larry Berkhead guy seems pretty decent, so I'm hoping it's his, and I hope he gets a slice of that fortune of Anna's. Unfortunately, REAL news doesn't pay well...Apparently.
  12. Just preferance. I personally think most black women aren't very attractive. Has nothig to do with their skin color. Tyra Banks and Beyonce Knowles, along with a couple girls I've seen in real-life are, of course, acceptions, because they're attractive to me. :P Bi-racial White/Black, White/Asian, etc etc children are ALWAYS beautiful. I have no idea why.
  13. The article was fallacious because the line about "direct reasoning" - which is the foundation of his entire point - does not offer any logic to it, which counters his entire point. I will back down from this argument if you can present me with one moral thought that comes from only logic. However, my guess is you will avoid the question entirely because it is impossible to do such a thing. The reason I have not explained why it is impossible is because you constantly avoid giving me any moral situation where you can solve it with only logic. If you gave me such a situation, I would have the resources to explain to you why the is/ought gap makes it impossible. You searching for arguments against the is/ought gap on Google doesn't mean you're presenting me with a refutation of it - that article was terribly written. You can easily do that. You can easily, logically think why something would be wrong to do. Stealing is wrong because when you take something from a store, they're losing revenue. If you steal from a friend, they will be sad/angry and if they find out it was you, your friendship would be over. Killing is wrong because, as I've said 100 times, when you kill someone, they're no longer there anymore. They are just GONE. Their family will be devestated, their friends will be hurt, and if you're caught, your life is over. When I think "Should I steal this?" I think "No...I could get in trouble, and the store would be losing money.." not "No! God shalt smite me!" But of course, you'll just argue that God instilled these morals in me and I as raised on God's morals to think this and la-de-da. You just can't argue against the "God did it!" argument.
  14. Maybe I won't move to a different country afterall.
  15. Intolerance is pretty much synonomous with hate these days. It isn't your job to be "intolerant" to homosexuals anyways. It is your job to ignore them if you don't approve, AKA sit down and shut up about it because they're not going to change just because a book says they should. A lot of homosexuals don't even WANT to be homosexuals, but that is how your God made them...No no, don't blame Satan...God made those people, and he made them the way they are. You can't say God makes everyone how they are and then exclude people who do things God disagree's with and dismiss it as Satan's influence. Edit: Oh, and fundies are horrible. I think they know they are, too. Because when you ask a fundie how they feel about homosexuals, you can just tell they're holding back from saying "I HATE THEM AND THEY'RE ALL GOING TO HELL!" and they give you that whole "Well, God disagree's with their choice, but they can always ask for forgiveness and be celebate!" stuff. I dunno' why they don't just come out and say it - They don't like gay people and if they could choose, they'd put them all on Antarctica, lol. It's like they know what they're saying is wrong and intolerant and hateful, but they dismiss it because of what the Bible says. People like these Baptists don't have that shred of humanity left...They've forsaken it for promises of the afterlife. Oddly, though...I can't imagine a God that would reward them for their actions.
  16. What's it cost over there right now? It's $2.70 something a gallon here at the moment... And yes, please do give me amounts in litre's and euro's so that I have to convert both because I am a stupid, stupid American. :P It's only fair since I gave you both amounts in American's dumb non-metric system.
  17. Yet they're still the morals they follow...And everyone else follows.
  18. My dad was trying to figure out how to play Halo 2, and like a pro, I ran up and shot him in the back of the head after standing behind him for over a minute without him knowing. He got mad and dropped the control and said "Screw you guys." Funny. :P
  19. 185 lbs, and $18.50/hr currently. Don't play WoW anymore. Nice try, though! :D Thats not what I heard :-w From who? LGBR? Good source. My RL picture has been posted here...Like, a few weeks ago. You can't see my face since it's against the rules, but you can clearly see that I weigh 185, not 400. Also, maybe you should post on the OTHER topic...You know, the one we've uncovered you and LGBR as the same person on? Yea. Think up a lie quick and go post there.
  20. and raise the cost to $100 a can and then you have something the military uses. :P there, thats what you could do, but silly string is $3 and 'Tripwire detector projectile apparatus' is $15 a can  Haliburton style, then?
  21. XplsvBam and Insane: Neither of you are taking into account that God, today, very well may not exist, and thus we would still have these morals anyways. And even if he DOES exist, people had these morals before God let us know what they were. You can argue he automatically instilled them in us all, but that's a stupid argument, and why would he feel the need to tell us, then? But whatever, believe what you guys want. God = Morality and the rest of us just don't get it.
  22. Know what else is just light enough to be thrown to let you know there is a trip wire? A dead Muslim extremist. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLZZ!111one!1! But seriously...I heard about this many weeks ago. Perhaps a couple months ago. :P
  23. No, it's just that you worded it as if all Christians are nut jobs. Extremists seem like your average Muslim nowadays, so I don't even want to comment on it. No...I said ones who want the Bible taught as science and stuff.
  24. His name is Kent Hovind, and you just quoted him 100%. Good job thinking for yourself. ;) He doesn't "prove" anything wrong. He's a dude who believes the Earth is only 6000 years old just because the Bible says so. He blatantly ignores all the history before that period and seems to think empires like Egypt were built in a day, or something. In short, he's insane. It is a good point though...All the planetary bodies that spin the wrong way are blamed on one thing - astroid impacts. Big ones. While it is possible, the chances of it ALL happening just like that, perfectly, is kinda' small when you think about it. Edit: Warrior, go to http://www.drdino.com or google video, you can find all his seminars. They're interesting, but BS nonetheless. I'm trying to think how planets spinning in different rotations proves his point. I'm no astrophysics expert, so anyone is welcome to point me out to the basis of why his point is good :? . And thanks for the tip, Tigra. Perhaps later, though. Basically, if the Universe was made from an explosion, and galaxies formed themselves, everything should spin in the same direction unless acted upon by another force. Thus the asteroid's hitting everything turning the wrong way. Creationists should stick to Space, not Earth, for "proof". You'll find nothing but evidence to the contrary on Earth...It's what's in space that defies cosmic evolution (unless they asteroids stuff would be true, which it could be, though improbable).
