Used to watch it all the time...It's just NOW being cancelled in England? It got taken off the air here...Sheesh...5 years ago?
  2. Racials depend on what you want to do. For example, Orc racial (25% stun resist) and Undead racial (fear immunity on command) are the most useful in PvP. Warstomp is also useful in PvP...Noone else racials are really that great.
  3. I suggest you spend the money as fast as possible. I recieved one with $150 on it and had no reason to use it for almost a year. So, 10 months later when I go to purchase something worth $100, it declined me. Why? Because the company takes $6.99 off the card for "user fee's" EVERY MONTH. Oddly, I'm a "user" even when I'm not using it! So yea, spend it as fast as possible, or just go to an ATM and take it out in cash.
  4. Where in Minnesota? That's where I live too. :P Anyways, I don't do it for one simple reason - My uncle. My uncle is a drug addict and taking one look at him would make anyone not do drugs. He started with weed, now he is a meth addict and has been jailed many times for stupid drug related things. He's not a violent person and he doesn't drink, however, so thats good...He'd just get high and steal or do stupid things. He's actually in jail right now for 3 months for not paying fines (he had like $700 left of his restitution) from drug related problems...Now the state is spending more than that $700 to keep him in jail for 3 months. DUMB. Funny thing is he almost had all the money for it, too. Back to the drugs thing, yea, they're not good. I don't care what anyone says, they DO make you stupid and they DO make you a "loser". My uncle is 39 and has the maturity level lesser than that of myself (I'm 19) by probably a few years...I once said he acted like he was 14, so we'll go with that. He's a loser by any stretch of the word, too. He owns nothing, never has, and when he GETS something, he sells it to get high. My dad bought him a $24,000 truck when he employed him (oddly, he's a GREAT worker, lol) and my uncle eventually sold it when he quit (no loss to my dad, he wrote it off as a business expense, so..) working for him and used most of the money to buy drugs, he now drives a $300 GMC Jimmy from like 1990. But if you insist on doing it and say you'll never become that, go right on ahead. ;) My uncle said the same thing when he was younger. He's so addicted now, I once asked him if he'd ever quit and he said he'd seriously rather die. Honestly, it's really bad, I can't even tell you all the crazy things he's done just to get high. Some people do get lucky though and get their life back on track, but most do not. Everyone I went to school with did drugs and I'd gather that every single one of them has moved on to harder drugs (a lot of them do cocaine) and pretty much are "losers". They work dead-end jobs and go to college JUST so they can "party". Just my 2 cents. I'm not trying to judge people here. I understand weed is looked upon as an innocent thing, but it really can, and usually does lead to more. If you want to do it, fine. That said, no, they probably shouldn't legalize it. It's like giving F2P players updates...They say "We just want this!" and then when they get it, BAM, it's not good enough and they want more. What's next after that? "Hey, cocaine is natural! You can't make it illegal!"? lol. I understand it has some "beneficially" properties, but seriously...Do you really WANT the government to tax an already expensive drug? Going rate (coming from my uncle) around here is $40 for 1/8 an ounce. Add some taxes onto that for the government to get their slice, plus whatever other costs they throw on. Yea, it wouldn't be the "Free weed party!!" people think.
  5. what the hell do u mean? Because most people, when they start, pick out one server and never leave it. You can, it's just that most people don't. For example, I don't leave Perenolde because it's a server I know all the people on. I tried playing on Warsong and I felt lost. :P Nobody to talk to, you know. What BlueTear means is this...I'll try to give an example. You don't have a limit on "points" you can spend into stats. If you can find a peice of gear with +40 strength and +20 stamina, then you can wear it. If you can find one with +1000 strength and +1000 stamina, you can wear it. That last one doesn't exsist, thankfully, but you get my point I hope? For example, a peice of epic "Feral Druid" gear: Malfurion's Blessed Bulwark Binds when picked up (binding means it cannot be traded, ever) Chest Leather 392 Armor (a lot of armor for leather, it's more on par with mail!) +40 Strength +20 Stamina http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=19405 < link to it. This can be worn, and if you could find every other slot with these same stats, you can still wear it. No limit on # of stats is what I'm getting at. But I think I see your question, you're wondering how much to put into each stat...Well, I'll tell you this. As a feral druid, Strength is most important, then stamina, so load up on those two. Agility gives crit chance (200% damage on hit) and dodge chance, so that'd nice too, finally, intellect isn't important unless you're PvPing, because you'll be shifting in and out of stances, which costs a considerable amount of mana. Even then, it's not REALLY important. However, as a Restoration (healer) or Balance (think very weak mage :P) your main stats are Intellect, for more mana, spirit, for more mana regeneration, and stamina, so you can stay alive to cast. :P In comparison, a Rogue's main stat is Agility, then stamina, then strength/attack power. A rogue can focus pretty much all he's got into Agility because it does EVERYTHING for his class...AP, crit chance, dodge, armor (every 1 agility gives you 1 or 2 armor, I forget..lol), everything. A warrior's focus is pretty much the same as a feral druid...Strength/stamina, agility. A mage focuses on intellect and stamina (and spell crit, spell damage). A warlock focuses on stamina and intellect (and spell crit, spell damage). I think you get my point. You'll be able to find out pretty easily what your class needs. The first time I played I was loading my warrior up with strength/stamina gear just because the warrior part of the WoW website said it was important. Read some there later. Hope that helped a lil'.
  6. Oh, and don't touch it's wings, I'm told touching a moth's wings makes it unable to fly ever again. I was *told* it's because there is a powder on their wings that they need to fly (magic pixie dust ftw!!) and if it's wiped off, they can't, but I dunno. I just figured it's 'cause their wings would break.
  7. Yea. I used to kill bugs, but then I thought you know, if I was a bug and didn't know any better than to wander into that big ol' human's house and the big ol' human killed me, I would be a very sad little bug! So I catch them somehow and throw them outside usually. Sometimes I'll have to kill them (wasps) because they're dangerous to someone in my house who is allergic. Can't mess around then. :P Cetipeeds or whatever are the hard ones to catch, they run around every once in a while in my bathroom (just one every summer, pretty much, lol) and you have to catch those fast lil buggers.
  8. Pray was Crunch Killa's noob, and anyone who knows him knows that he has never autoed. Ever. He afk trained while talking to people on MSN and stuff. He's a good friend of mine and other than eventually selling his characters when he quit RS, he did nothing wrong. Well, that and all the swearing. I'd love to see your "evidence" so I can show it to him. He'll laugh at your lack of life, I am sure. Furthermore, it's nice to see after 2 years you're still accusing everyone of autoing, yet all your high stats are ones that are easily autoed. Usually only the guilty point fingers. ;) The second owner of Pray may have autoed, but the original owner never did. Nor on Crunch Killa or Keelercrunch.
  9. I agree and disagree. For one, if you cannot strike fear into your kid merely by yelling, you won't be a good parent. If they laugh at you when you yell, you then need to resort to physical force. My parents never had to spank me because yelling was enough. Though my mom did try to spank me once and hurt her hand. :P Face it, some kids NEED to be spanked nowadays. When I was a kid I got in trouble like everyone else, but now, kids are killing other kids just because they're mad. So yea...A spanking isn't going to hurt them. I should also add this: After you yell at or spank your kid, you should always apologize later and explain to them why it was necessary. That's what my parents did. If they didn't, I probably would have thought they were jerks while I was growing up, instead, they apologized and explained to my why it was necessary, and I didn't think badly of them for it after that.
  10. The above is rather ignorant "raider heresay" BS. My druid (fully feral, 14/31/5) is in a BWL raiding guild, as is my warrior (31/20/0, no protection!). People claim that spec actually matters, but it doesn't, ESPECIALLY FOR A DRUID after Patch 1.11. They get Innervate (only reason to roll into Restoration) as a trainable skill, not a talent. Your talent are there to, at best, improve your performance slightly in a given role. They are not required by any guilds except Uber-guilds (you'll never be in one, and if you were, you'd quit because of the sheer hours they put in raiding) and people who want to be an uber-guild, but fail because forcing spec = angry members = they quit. I am well known on my server for quitting the best guild on the server merely because they would not allow me to spec freely. In my attempt to prove them wrong, I main-tanked all of BWL one night without *ANY* talent points (thus making me known as that crazy guy who did it just to make people shut up about specs) and /gquit after the raid, making it well-known that I would not be a spec-monkey for their likings. Sadly, some talent points have become very useful, so guild leaders try to force people to spec into them. Innervate was one of them, but Blizzard made it a core ability because a druid's role IS NOT just a healer. They are a hybrid and can do more jobs than ANY class in the game. My druid has tanked everything in Molten Core (Except Magmadar, due to Fearing, and I'm horde so we don't have Fear ward, lol) and most of the stuff in BWL...I haven't tanked Vael or Nefarian, and probably never will, due to the fact on Vael I cannot keep aggro Vs. warriors executing, and Nefarian fears. Druid's are the most powerful class in the game when you play them right, and "Restoration" isn't playing them "right". lol. I do primarily heal in raids, but druid's are more gear-based than talent-based for healing. I can heal with the best of 'em in my guild. Ahem, anyways... As I said, you get one account. Cost = $15. On that account, you can play on any server in your area (USA, China, where ever you live) and can have 8 characters per server. Primarily you only play on one server (of course) but you can play on any one you choose, you just make a character on it and play. I'm not aware of some "50 character limit" however. My girlfriend plays and makes characters all the time just because she likes to create characters, and I'd say her account has over 50, but I've never counted. Even so, would you really NEED 50 characters? :P I only have like 3. You can play anywhere/anything/whatever character for only $15, yes. Yes, there is a gradual change from night to day. As the game clock gets closer to night time, it gets darker. The time depends on your server, like my server is an hour behind my time here in Minnesota, so it usually gets darker in-game an hour or so before it does here. :P Also, since patch 1.10 (few months ago) there are also weather effects like rain, snow, dust storms, etc. The rain in Un'goro crater, Stanglethorn Vale, etc is really good and looks very real. Mist, steam, visability drops a bit, it's quite cool. Feral druid attributes are as follows, in order of importance while leveling: Strength, stamina/agility, intellect. You won;t need much intellect (my feral gear has NONE) because you don't need to heal much. Tauren Shaman's are good, yea, because of Warstomp, which is a 2 second stun, enough time to get a heal off in some cases. Their attributes vary depending on spec. I've never played the class seriously, but I know that Intellect, Stamina, Strength are all important. Spirit is good for mana regen later in the game (instancing and stuff), they can make use of ALL the attributes in the game, as is the same case for a druid. Yes, you can also delete characters.
  11. You can have 8 character's per server. That's the only limit your account has. So if you somehow use all the servers slots, you'd probably have....uhhh...1,600 characters?
  12. There is an Ironforge server? I've never seen it. You don't need to give them your account name, either. Just your character. :P
  13. Tigra00 replied to ndn3master's topic in Off-Topic
Is that Kane who plays in the movie about the guy who murders people in God's name or whatever? I forgot it's name, but the killer looked like Kane to me. I haven't watched wrestling for like 6 years...Last time I saw it, the "NWO" was around or whatever. I hear it's pretty dumb now-a-days.
  14. Oh, and I'd reccomend reading up on lore if you're into that stuff. A lot of cool stories, plus you'll be able to actually see a LOT of lore people/places/things in-game. Like the Dark Portal, for example. First time I saw that in the Blasted Lands I went "Holy [cabbage]!" :P. http://www.wowwiki.com is a good site for lore.
  15. Yep, some of the flight paths (think teleports in RS) take a loooong time. It sucks, but it's WAY better than walking. Walking from one end of Kalimdor to the other could very well take 30 mins. A Flight to certain places can take up to 13 mins (longest I can recall) like Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale to Raventusk Village, Hinterlands. It's not in a straight line, it goes to other places, but yea, it's long. :P Inventory spots (someone asked) - You get bags. Your back pack has 16 or 18 slots, I forget, and you can get 4 more bags, up to 16 slots (accessable to all players) each. There are also 18 and 20 slot bags, but only raiders can get them, and even then, they're rare because the materials are rediculous. There is more room than on RS, though. I think RS's bank is bigger than WoW's, however, you don't need as much space. A bank is like 50 slots or something, plus you can buy extra spaces for 16 slot bags, so you can probably get like 100 slots or something for your bank, I dunno'. Never needed it. And yes, it's $15 USD per month. I think that's a *tad* more in Aussie, I'm not sure. Also, they JUST opened up Oceanic servers today for Aussies, so hooray for you. ;)
  16. Quests are used as a way of leveling 99% of the time, though almost every one has something to do with Lore of SOME sort. I hate how you'll wait a month for an RS update and it'll be ONE quest that takes an hour. It just wasn't worth it to me anymore to wait.
  17. You should see my uncle. He's a meth addict and his teeth are the most disgusting thing you'll ever see in your life. Rotted, black, brown, yellow...Ugh, thinking about it makes me vomit. :P
  18. I disagree. "Good" and "Bad" classes change every class review patch! Warlocks used to *suck* but now they're unstoppable. Same with Hunters. Warriors used to be unstoppable, now they get nerfs every patch. Rogues used to own, now they're lacking because their items aren't huge upgrades like other classes...Then again, they'll ALWAYS be good. As a top DPS class, they have no reason not to. :P I'll give you a reason to play and not to play a certain class, as far as my knowledge can get me. There are a few I haven't played over level 20 yet. Warrior - I know everything about this class, it's my main class. First off, if you're a good learner, and probably a quick one, you can safely roll this class and have fun. If you're not, don't do it. Tanking is NOT easy and probably not great for beginners. The last thing you want is the reputation of a bad tank. :P They're also very gear-dependant, meaning if your gear isn't good, you won't be able to kill people in PvP. As a beginner, I don't suggest rolling this class. Just too much you need to know how to do, and you'll have to have gear you won't be able to afford/get. Rogue - Good class, learning curve isn't that steep. It's basically a "Pick up and own everyone" class, in my own words. I have a level 60 with lame gear and he can still kill people. This is probably the best beginner class, but you'll have a hard time getting in instances sometimes...The rogue population on some servers is like 50%. Paladin - Gear dependant and will always be lacking in PvP. They're only really good for instances (really good). Shaman - People say they own. I haven't got one over level 27 yet (you get the "owning" spell called Windfury Weapon at 30) so I'm not sure. Their burst damage is pretty incredible which is an important part of PvP. I've seen epic geared shamans do 3,000 damage in one Windfury proc. That's rare, no doubt, but still. :P They have a lot of great spells to keep people from running away, too. Warlock - Nice class, but they have a pet, so they're a harder class to learn. They're pretty much unstoppable in PvP. I can't think of any class that can beat them easily. Mage - Incredible burst damage, low survivability. They have the lowest health of all the classes, but they often don't need it because you cannot touch a good mage. Hunter - Another pet class, so they're harder to learn, but in PvP they beat everyone up. My warrior used to be able to eat their faces off, but since they got the frost-trap kiting bullcrap (they all do it) they can't really be beaten. Also, everyone plays them, and Night Elf hunters are made fun of for trying to be like Legolas. Priest - Strong class in PvP when played Shadow Specced. Holy and Disc tree's are getting better for PvP, but shadow still wins. Also, as a Shadow Priest, you have hardly any down-time (drinking for mana) so it's a quick leveler. Get used to using a wand a LOT. :P Druid - I reccomend this class. As a Feral Druid, you have zero down-time and you're comparable to a Rogue and Warrior when you're in the correct form. In bear form you also have more armor than any warrior will EVER have and you're incredibley hard to kill. If you get low, you just pop out of form, heal, and pop back in. :P Balance Druids kinda' stink, and Restoration Druids are hard to level. Go Feral and wear rogue gear and you'll do great. They can also escape with Travel Form so they're very hard to kill. I have a level 45 Feral Druid and I have NEVER died yet. As a new player you'll probably die some, but you'll learn. Like I said, I reccomend this class, they're incredibley powerful and NOONE realizes it, so noone plays them. You'll have an easy time getting groups. No, you can't change class/race at any time, either. The WoW game itself costs probably $35-$40 right now, when it came out it was $50, but I'm sure it's went down. Yes, there is an expansion coming out before 2007. Estimated around October, I heard. It won't be a waste of money though, the expansion just has a bunch of new content that you can enjoy, so it's worth it of course. It is $15 per month. No idea what that is in Australia. You can pay credit card or game card and I think money order, but I'm not sure on that one. There are 60 combat levels and 300 levels for each "skill". You can only have 2 "skills" (primary like mining/smithing, etc.) but you can have all the "secondary" skills (first aid, cooking, etc.) It's much easier to get max-level in WoW than RS though. Level 60 my first time took me a month or so. Level 300 in my skills took the same month, you level as you level, pretty much. Weapon levels just let you get better at using a weapon. At level 60, your weapon skills will all be X of 300. You'll level it up by using that weapon. The higher it is (300/300 for example) the more you hit. It's easy to level, so don't worry. You level it as you level up using weapons, but if you started one from 0/300, it'd only take like 30 mins to get it to 300, lol. Armor in WoW scales gradually. There is Green, which has stats on it like +stamina, +strength, etc. And then there is Blue armor, which has those stats, but BETTER. Then there are Epics (Purples) which are even better yet, and Legendaries (orange) which are the best so far. You'll probably never see a Legendary (only a few people per server have them, they're hard to get) so don't worry about those. :P The scaling is moderate, you'll just get more armor, more stamina, more strength, intellect, whatever your class needs. It's not like in RS where you get a peice of armor and go "OMG I got...Uhhh....Wtf...3 defense?!". That's all I can answer for now. I'll suggest you go to http://www.allakhazam.com to look up stuff for yourself. Hope that helps.
  19. Good luck, nice attitude about it. People told me I'd never get 1 60 1 (att, def, str) on my tank-mage in RSC and I told them I wouldn't quit until I did, and lookie, I did that. :P Seems like such a smaller goal now that 100,000 people have done it and it only takes about 150 hours of work...Compared to your months of work. :P Good luck.
  20. They are pretty much.
  21. Yep, thats why whole cities with people inside are still underwater....and why people still find fish on top of mountians. The flood infact messed up the layers, that scientists use to figure out how old their little fossils are (when not using carbon dating). Your going to say, well the layers settled like that over millions of years...tell me this why are there stone trees "growing" (petrafied) upward through millions of years of build up? They didnt cross the sea? Any evidence? If your talking about 666 then that was supposdly the number of Nero who kill many hundreds (thousands?) of christians. I love how you use scientific facts and historic information to prove the Bible right, yet you refuse to believe the theory of evolution. It's like the ultimate paradox or something.
  22. It would be around 10% rather than 5%.
  23. Yes, Blizzard paid me to post as a fan of their game. As if they need it. *Cough* I will address a couple things you said, because the rest were just opinions. 1.) Guild support on WoW is not even comparable to RS. RS doesn't even let you HAVE a guild, a "guild" on RS is anyone who uses your guild's website and is accepted as a member. WoW has tabards, tags, etc etc. 2.) Leveling *should* be easy. The end of the game where you get to start doing the instances and reputation and stuff is where the fun is at. The reason a lot of people leave RS is because getting 99 in one skill could very well take you a year plus tons of money. Getting to level 60 (max level) took me about a month my first time and it was a better experience than getting nearly to max level on RS (I'm 123 on RS2, 98 pure on RSC). RS was just a tiring grind EVERYDAY. It never stopped, and the fun never started because "fun" starts when work ends. The work on RS never ends. Once I got 99hp was when I started losing interest, because getting 99 skills is just boring and worthless. Why would you want to look at forums while playing? That means the game you're playing isn't good enough to keep you occupied. I can look at forums while I play by alt-tabbing...I play a Fury Warrior and a Priest on WoW, both classes are easy to engage a mob and minimize and it'll be dead by the time I come back to it. But I don't, because the game keeps me occupied. I could sit here all day and tell you, as an experienced player of RS, ever flaw this game has, but in all honesty, it would take too long! Censors that suck, random events that can kill you if you go get a glass of water...It's all BS and isn't very fun. To each his own, if you like it, great! But I don't, so don't call me out on it like you have to bash me (using opinions) for not liking it. Point of this post = to show that this game has a large fan-base. Simple as that.
