Do you think you have a soul?
[hide=Quotes] See, that's just thinking too much about mythology. I can understand the need to think we humans, who can feel empathy, have souls, but a burning mass of hydrogen  ? That's pushing it. And where do you draw a line for a soul in living organisms? Zebras? Rats? Flies? Bacteria? There is no line to be made. The logic of the concept is just... nonexistent. From a human perspective anyways :| . I don't draw a line. Maybe soul is something inherent to anything. Maybe matter is just an expression of soul. A mountain may have soul to. It may also have consciouness. Could it be? Yes, yes it is! References to paganist religions! I was waiting for this, just to see how people would react. Now kind sir or madam, I ask you to back up your claim, so we can turn it into a discussion point. Personally, I like talk about the old religions though I don't believe in any of them. =P Why must he back it up? Hes expressing his belief, not ordering you to believe in it, I could just as easily ask you to back up your disbelief in religion, yet all you or anyone would be able to do is answer with unproven theorys, so I would advise you to not start a useless and unnecessary arguement, especially seeing as religious discussion has already been banned before due to them. [/hide] I wasn't asking for an argument. :| I like discussing ancient religions and was simplly asking for a his reasoning so we could talk about. I don't want to discussion religion as much as the presence of a soul according to the religion (as that's what this topic is about).

Slayer Clues
He means that a clue requires you to kill a slayer monster to get the next clue/reward. Overall, I like the idea, but don't like the rewards being based like that. You get those drops from slayer, not as clue rewards. Having to kill a slayer monster for a clue though would be a fun little addition to clue scrolling. :D

Actually this fits in the RuneScape Bugs & Suggestions Forum. But, if it's a fixed bug don't bother. Good try though, welcome to Tip.It. :D

Enchanted Lunar Staff - Tiara - Necklace
What the heck are Lunars anyway? I think you're talking about Astral runes, and even if you are this is still a really bad idea. They only have staves for the elemental runes for a reason.

It's time to share some recipes!
With basic pancake mix it all goes down to how much water you use. I think big, thick pancakes so I add enough water so I can stir well, but it's not really runny. Adding various fruits and using real Maple syrup is always a plus.

It's time to share some recipes!
Well, being in a forgein country with a limited budget, when I have to cook I keep it simple. So, I decided to share my simple recipes (perfect for you college kids), and ask everyone else for any kind of recipe they know that isn't readily available in some cookbook. If it is from some cookbook at least have made some personal changes to it. The first one is a cheap, easy (and pretty fast) recipe of my own design that is good for anyone really. Scrambled Beef Ingredients: [*:r03un28q]1 lb of ground beef [*:r03un28q]2 boiled eggs (chopped) [*:r03un28q]Oregano [*:r03un28q]Pepper [*:r03un28q]Salt [*:r03un28q]Onion and/or Garlic Powder [*:r03un28q]Any other kind of spices you'd like to throw in (spicey is always good) Yup, simple, no? To prepare, just mix it all up, except the eggs. The amount of spices and powders depends on your tastes, though I tend to stick with 1 or 2 teaspoons when I measure at all. Then, cook it on like you would scramble eggs (hence to the name). Add the eggs in last, right before the meat is completely cooked and serve with a side of buttered noodles. *To reduce time don't add eggs and/or make noodles* There's my first, unoriginal, and ungodly easy recipe. The second is also cheap and easy. It's something my Uncle taught me when I was a Freshman in high school and it really is designed for college people. *Note* The name is also what he called it. Medieval Prison Food Ingredients: [*:r03un28q]Package(s) of your favorite flavor of instant noodles (not the cup kind) [*:r03un28q]2-4 eggs per package of instant noodles Follow the instructions on the package to cook, but when you add the noodles also add the eggs. You'll have to stir more than you usually would, and it won't look too appetizing at first, but it's delicious. Very filling and a perfect thing to eat at any time of day. That's all I got, now share what you've got. I'd love to try some new recipes when I get home.

Phobias?
Man, I hate that, it's so freaky. I think I have it too :ohnoes: Do we just rot? Do we go to heaven / hell? Do we automatically become an animal / baby / whatever? Really? I kind of think of not-existing after death as a form of nirvana, of final and eternal peace :) . What's scary about something that doesn't involve any emotional or physical pain whatsoever? Everyone's time comes eventually. Just live life to the fullest, find your meaning, and there's no reason to fear something like non-existence. You simply are luckier than me. My brain simply can't figure out how it'd be to not to exist, because I'd have to be conscious (and therefore, exist) to get any kind of feelings. The nearest thing I can get is like a coma state, where one is unconscious. However, I have the idea that when that happens, time simply gets "cut", and for you, you wake up almost immediately after you lose your consciousness. However, I can't imagine such an analogy. I die, losing consciousness, the next think I'd know is waking up, but being dead that simply can't happen. So what happens then? There must be something after it, if you ignore after-life believes. That had me for awhile too. After many 8 hour car rides with nothing to do but think I came too terms with it and now have no fear of death, even though I believe that my death will be the end of my existance. With those fears conquered it seems kind of silly that I'm still scared of loud, barking (and usually big) dogs. Also, immortality would be scary as I want to die eventually, but I don't think that's something I really have to worry about.

Ghosts, Spirits, and Demons...
That Stephen Hawkins thing is all theory though. No one knows how black holes work. For all we know, they work like some sci-fi books, movies, etc. portray them as and could just act as a portal to another part of the universe. If that's that case, then the energy is just moving around to a different spot in the universe. If there are alternate dimensions taking our energy, they probably suffer from black holes too, and it's just a giant energy cycle with black holes as the energy transferers.

Tip.It Times Presents: Letters to the Editor #6
Ummm... yes... yes there was an age rule. There always has been. You just didn't pay attention to it when reading any rules and/or the Terms & Conditions (though you probably didn't if you didn't see the 13 year old to play thing).

would you ever grow a mullet?
All I have to say is.. John Stamos as Uncle Jesse. I always thought Uncle Jessie looked kind of dumb. =P That Joe Dirt thing was a joke though. I'm honestly surprised that a thread about a mullet that the creator admitted to be a joke has turned into this.

Ghosts, Spirits, and Demons...
=D> Congrats! That was the most in depth post I've ever seen you write (no, I'm not trying to patronize you). It's good too, but i still disagree. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, so a spirit cannot create pure enegry if it was not pure energy to start with. I don't know how you feel about that, but I don't believe in a spirit and that rules out all ghosts and such for me. With demons and the like, I just believe that such things were though of to create a feeling of could-be-punishment if certain ethics were not maintained. That leads into the history religion and all that good stuff though.

The post I've waited years to make...
Nice going Tiger. =P I know that's not your name, but whatever. Glad you had a good time and that those flamers were shown to be wrong.

Who can you make with new player kits?
I've seen so many great things come from this, it's a shame that in a few hours it'll cost money to make these things and this thread will probably die.... :(

Do you think you have a soul?
You're welcome and thanks. With the egotisical/inferiority jazz humans have going on, there will always be people believing in souls. That's human nature, and I don't think it's wrong, but quite the opposite. Belief in a soul tends to (sometimes) push people to be better or whatever to make their soul prepared for whatever after-life. While such beliefs can lead to wars, maiming, etc. it is part of being human to have such things happen. If it wasn't because of religion and souls we'd find another reason to kill each other (as many other wars have shown). I try to look at the more individual, positive effects the belief in a soul has on people. A great number of my friends have turned their lives around for the better when (re-)gaining a belief in a soul. I was kind of opposite, because I changed my life for the better after losing belief in a soul. Whatever works for people. : Edit: Actually, since all energy needed for the primary functions of said Circle come from the sun, and we can't return energy to the sun, it's more of a Downword Spiral of Eventual Doom. Yay for random Earth Science courses with slightly depressed professors!

Abortion.
That's more or less my opinion, but I'm very conflicting in this and can't seem to make up my mind. Even if it is a rape victim, who are we to deny a life just because the father was a rapist? But then for pro-choice I start to think, who are we to damn a child and mother (and sometimes father) to a hell on Earth because the parent(s) are equipped with the needed emotion, wisdom, and/or motivation to properly raise a child? But then I start thinking pro-life and I think how that child could use his or her struggles to strengthen themselves and be a great icon in the future... Overall, this is just a cycle of conflict for me and I can't make up my mind. If I ever get into this situation I'll decide then, but now I just mull and try to pick a side.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
In this day and age I find that to be an extremely narrow-minded view. I can easily understand why people don't like it and feel threatened. Mmkay. Why? Why are people threatened? Do gay people murder, pillage and rape? Do gay people make the streets unsafe? Do gay people steal our jobs? Do gay people make us alter our lives in any way? I don't see how religion should be reason enough to ban a group of people from society or look down on them. In the case of christianity, it is all but a christian thought to do so. Did not Jesus always stand up for the minorities? Heathens, prostitutes and leppers? Why should he have excluded homosexuals? Feeling threatened by homsexuality is not inherent to the religion itself, it is part of a human policy to maintain power. As such, no I cannot understand its continuing influence on society. Then again, I do live in a country where religion and politics are separated. You live in a country where religion and politics are seperated? Where is that? I wanna move there. :D Anyway, homosexuality is seen as an evil thing and that homosexuals "spread" their homosexuality to others (Been hearing those debates about homosexual couples adopting?). Thusly, homosexuality is seen as a threat to the religion, and allowing homosexuals to be free and have all the rights as hetrosexuals is seen as attacking Christianity. Not all Christians are like that, mind you, but it's the ones who have power who are like that and they are usually the ones in government. In the words of Gandhi: Many Christians (not all) don't live the way Christ wanted them to live.
