Twice in a row now, I've been in a large 5:5 dungeon on World 117 and the boss has been invisible. The two bosses were Skeletal Horde and Lexicus Runewright. With Lexicus Runewright, he also disappered sometimes during the fight and fired invisible book barrages, which led to a few cheap bs deaths in our party. This is taking up time that could be spent working toward a Chaotic Longsword. Any idea how to stop this from happening? I tried logging in and out both times, but still got killed by an invisible book barrage.

Now trying for 35 prestige so I can just cycle again and again. My strategy will probably be to solo floors 1-29 on complexity 1-2 and then large 5:5 floors 30-35. I wish you could just solo it all and get good exp. I'm going for 80 and a Chaotic Long, or maybe something else if batch 2 comes out before my 80. Decided to take a break from Dungeoneering, and ended up with my 10th solo hilt overall.

Well, I'd like to see the results at places like TDs since I already have 99 Slayer. Also keep in mind, I use Diamond Bolts E at TDs instead of Broads. Interesting results nonetheless, but I think it's very skewed because of the +40 bonus given by the ring. As for Arma GWD, you're probably right, the loss of my Divine would not be worth it unless in a team or an FFA.

Rune Defender is so much better than DFS for Slayer it isn't even funny. +19 Slash attack is way better than the +2 Str you would gain from switching to a DFS. I would fit into the pro Slayer category of course, seeing as I wear Bandos and use Yaks/Unis, but I did wear Torso/D Legs before GWD.

I started around August 2005, sometime after Farming was out. I didn't really know what to expect, I remember starting out bashing Goblins, then working on Mining and Smithing. The fact that there were so many different skills was fun to me. I remember the day I got members, I started by pickpocketing up to about 5 Thieving then I went off and did Druidic Ritual. Fast forward a bit, and I rememer getting 60 Attack for a D Long and 43 Prayer for Protect Melee on the same day. At that point I knew that the doors to many quests had been thrown open. Sometime later, I discovered Runecrafting and Barrows, and used those as my main moneymakers. I had also discovered Slayer and used that as my primary combat leveling method. Going into 2007, I had respectable RC and Slayer lvls as well as a Green Mask and Santa. I soloed a D Chain worth 15m at the time and used that to get my Prayer up. Then when Dark Bows came out, I had already rushed to 90 Slayer, and used the money from 5 Bow drops to get 99 Prayer(D Bones were about 1.3k ea at the time). Upon getting 99 Prayer, I chased level 126 via Slayer. GWD came out when I was 124, and I tried soloing for a few hours and got owned. Then I read about the Zammy safespot and started soloing him. Sometime later, a safespot for Bandos was revealed, and I used that to get 2 Bandos Plates, selling one to get a DFS. I got my level 126 October 2007. I soloed a 22m Sara Sword with the 1 kill a trip melee method, and even soloed a 120m Armadyl Hilt December 2007. Then, Summoning comes out, and I instantly want the new level 138. Slowly, but surely, the game had turned into a quest for more and more power in PVM for me. I remember rushing my Herblore up to get the new Overloads. It also turned into a quest for more and more money and rares. I now kick myself for not buying a bunch of 10m Green Masks for instance. A typical day for me in the game now is spent either doing solo PVM, merchanting, or doing something that will make me more powerful in PVM such as getting Dungeoneering up for a Chaotic Weapon.

Commenting about the endgame article: Completely useless outside Daemonheim? The Chaotic Longsword ALONE is enough of a reason for me to get 80. Not to mention what might come out in batch 2. Biggest most awesomest update to Runescape? Sorry, but I believe the title goes to either Slayer, GWD, or Summoning. While fun, it's not making me hundreds of millions, or making the red 138 above my head any bigger. As for the boss of "floor 60" being runescape's final boss, I remember an RS where the biggest boss was the Kalphite Queen. I never in my wildest dreams envisioned a place like GWD. I'm sure RSC people could say the same about when the Kalphite Queen or even the KBD came out. Jagex will come up with something else and the game will go on.

I always wear my Fire Cape when in non risky combat such as Slayer. I will always wear a Skill Cape such as my Farming or Slayer cape when doing risky combat like solo GWD or when skilling. When skilling, my skillcape will be accompanied by one of my Phats. I don't PVP, but if I did, I would wear a skill cape. The 138 or 126+12 above my head would give away the fact that I have maxed combat anyway, but if I wanted to hide a combat 99, I would use a non combat cape like Fletching or Farming.

Speaking as a Divine and 4-Phat owner, I already have all the pixels I need to solo things like Arma and collect more pixels. So of course I'm going to put some of my wealth into discontinued pixels that will always go up over time. Divines and all GWD items will come crashing down one day, but Phats won't.

I for one would probably solo KQ a bit if it dropped Claws. But even if the drop rate isn't that great, it would probably cause tons of panic sellers simply because KQ doesn't require WGS.

Did Greens go up in addition to Yellows going down? Because I probably would have taken that offer for my Green in a heartbeat.

I can eliminate competition with other players right now. I could Runecraft Double Nats all day, which is probably what I would do if AGS dropped to 5m. I was soloing Bandos once and I got crashed and actually had a few kills stolen from me by someone who had neither Overloads nor Turmoil. So even though I'm maxed, lower levels can steal kills from me anyway by luck.

By failed like normally, do you mean you got crashed out? If so, then check out my thread in General Discussion. And grats on nearly tripling your bank, always nice to see a Hilt on the ground :thumbsup:.

I feel your pain. That exact same thing has happened to me as well. I honestly look at the people in the boss room and decide whether or not I could viably crash them. However, I still don't like playing like that, and usually end up hopping until I find a world to solo on.

An instanced boss would be where each person or team has their own boss room. I'm well aware that drops would be devalued significantly if that were to happen, but in my opinion we have a bigger problem at hand. At the time of this post there are: 11284 with 96+ Summoning 31882 with 88+ Summoning 20887 with 95+ Prayer 6825 with 95+ Herblore And there are 32 members Lootshare worlds. If a 3 man team were at all 4 GWD bosses on all 32 worlds, that would be 384 people. That's 5.6% of the people who can reliably make Overloads, 3.4% of the people who can summon Yaks, and 1.8% of the people who have the level for Turmoil. And that's just the best of the best, those kinds of levels are by no means required for GWD, so the actual percentages are even lower. Plus, the number of people who have the above mentioned levels will continue to grow. Adding more Lootshare worlds will NOT solve this problem as it has already grown to incredible proportions. I have maxed combat stats and a bank worth about 2.5 Billion so I could easily join in on this big crash fest if I wanted to. However, I do not like to play like that and neither do many people. And there are many people without maxed stats and maxed gear who want to do things like GWD, but are crashed out by people with my kind of stats. I would honestly rather see Godswords drop to 10m each than to continue with the status quo. Runescape has come a very long way since the days when it was rare to see anyone over level 110 or so, it's time the boss rooms catch up to that fact.

The 77 Agility was right before it started, so 98-99 Herb(about 1.2m exp done in 35 minutes) and 90-92 Smithing.

1.2m exp for 99 Herb done in 35 minutes. Now Smithing the day away. I was rank 300 Summoning when this started, now down to like 369.

98 Herb with 1.2m to go at the start. Made like 500 Overloads in 35 minutes and I had it. Now making Addy Plates.

It's mostly the Brews keeping me alive that long. I take a Yak full of Brews. The only reason I can do that is because I have Overloads so I don't have to worry about losing my potted status for very long. I used to use mostly Rocktail with the same setup, and I only got half the kills a trip, so Overload is the biggest factor. The Divine helps a bit, but I hear a similar thing can be done with a Spectral or Elysian. The B2p tabs are also good, they can generate 24 HP after each Yak kill.

I love my name, Lugia Lvl138 :thumbsup:. Only changed it once because Lugia0013 was getting kind of boring. That's 25 solo Bandos kills in 1 trip. About 73 minutes spent in the boss room, so a kill every 3 minutes.

Yay, I bought 4 Santas 30-35m each with the junk I got from buying 2 Hooks for cash. Pro merching tbh :thumbsup:.

Good thing I bought a Blue Mask for 55m + junk yesterday when they were "crashing".

As far back as I can remember(I started RS around August 05) the order of Phats was Blue>White>Red>Green>Yellow>Purple. It remained that way until recently when Yellows and Greens switched places. I seem to remember reading a post from Abyssal_Whip saying that he thinks Red is rarest because he sees so many people with Whites and Blues, but hardly any Reds. I guess I'm kind of hoping White is rarest since I own a Green, Red, and White.

Which spots are the best to use for killing TDs with a Steel Titan? I tried in the usual 2 spots and the titan failed to attack from both spots.

3k of them could practically get you 2 Hooks :-o. I personally have 98 Herb, and have enough Torstol to break 99 at bonus exp weekend. Although if Herb exp is worth more to you, go for it.
