All this crashing [cabbage] is why I like Frost Drags so much tbh(that and a 476 dry streak at TDs). Only like 3.5k-4k people with 85 Dungeon, and I guess most of them are competing at TDs/GWD since Frosts seem deserted.

Take a look at my signature. Now add 7 solo Claws, FFA Divine and Arcane, and countless Slayer drops. Yes, the excitement has worn off a lot, however any good drop will still elicit at least a smile and screenshot from me. A far cry however, from the first few months of GWD. I told my friends that if I ever soloed a Hilt, I would blow the roof off my house screaming. The pressure built until December 2007 when the words "take Armadyl Hilt" appeared on my screen. As soon as I safely teled, I screamed so loud and for so long the neighbors probably wondered what was going on. I have now soloed 12 Hilts. Anything that makes me more powerful in PVM makes me happy. I remember when Summoning was finally released, and I could increase the 126 above my head, I ran around the house screaming for a couple of minutes, then took rank 14 after 3 days. The old excitement can still be brought back by something unexpected though, like my 1 Visage from a recent Black Drag task. However, if I'm doing something like GWD or Corp the Hilts/Armor/Sigils are at the forefront of my mind instead of off in the back of my mind, like Visage at Black Drags.

So what's a Blue worth now? Most sellers on the forums want at least 2 Whites, something like 2 Whites + Green/Red or x Pumpkins. Doesn't seem like Blues dropped that much.

I like my CLS so far. Granted, I would like a Rapier for Frost Drags, but they didn't exist when I had to pick between Rapier and Long. I figured since I soloed Bandos and did TDs so much(Woox16 prefers Long over Rapier at TDs) that CLS was the sword for me. Plus, if I had gotten the Rapier, I would probably have had a voice inside of me saying "should have gotten CLS" since CLS was what I was leaning towards before I even got 80 Dungeon, since I already had 99 Slayer.

My feelings after reading the 5 pages: Yes, I think skilling should make more money, I made a thread recently on that very subject. But Stonewall already pointed out why MHing is riskier and should be rewarded more. And I'm not terribly scared of a "138 Turmoil, Overload, Yak bot" at Bandos. Bandos LS worlds are already packed like 24/7, so a few solo bots wouldn't do much to the price. In fact, I could see myself having some fun crashing them and forcing them to tank. If a worst case scenario happens and all GWD items crash, I can always do TDs/Dks or fall back on one of my skills like 91 RC, which I got primarily for a backup if said worst case scenario happens. But on that line of thought, where are RC bots? Abyssal Demon bots? Spirit Mage bots? TD bots? DK bots? etc. Not really scared of any of those though, as I have a bank worth about 2.9b

And I totally hope aforementioned dragons have ridiculously high melee defense for this reason. I have a CLS, so I would blast through their high Melee Def.

If the Combat level formula on RS Wiki is accurate, then one would be level 168 with 120 in all combat stats.

They need to make all skills like Summoning and Herblore, where they give you an actual reason(skillcapes don't count) to get into the upper 90s. Not like Woodcutting which stops at 75, or Agility where there's no useful shortcuts past 70. If I don't want to get 99 in a skill now, then why would I want to get 120 in it if the cap was raised? Also if they did raise the caps to 120, they would need to provide a reason for doing so, since 104m is a lot higher than 13m. This should put a stop to all the "OMG Dungeon goes up to 120, so other skills will too soon." Edit: Just for fun, I wanted to see what level you would be with 120 in all combat stats. If RS Wiki's formula is accurate, you would be level 168.

It's nice to get a few ranks as a byproduct of my gameplay, but I don't focus on them solely. A perfect example of this is Summoning. I got 99 in early 09, and continue to collect Charms from my PVM activities such as killing TDs. I had a very nice rank below 300 once, but chose to use the Bonus Exp Weekend to work on my non 99 skills like Herblore, Smithing, and Crafting. My rank is now a still very nice 576, and I will continue to collect Charm drops. However, you'll never find me at Rock Lobsters or Waterfiends with the intention of getting as many Crimsons as I can again. Another example is Farming, I still do Herb Runs for the money, but will never do another Tree run for exp. A third example is Herblore. Super Prayers are untradable, and require me to make them. I will however, sell most of my Herbs and buy the tradable potions I need.

I think the only way to get one is to get into the rares market, Muj. :sad: Or wait for the street price to crash to something reasonable. Not long ago, Divine easily went for a Red hat, if not close to a White. Now it's either worth a Yellow, or something between Purple and Yellow. Of course, that might just mean Phats went up. And you could always try your luck at Corp, my Divine was an FFA drop.

Either Crowns rose in street, or enough Onyx came from Kinglys to drop the street. Another possibility is that most people who want an Onyx I already have it by now. Good thing I traded 4 Onyx Rings for a Disk then.

Just got 88 Hunter and can now pot for Kinglys. I was wondering what the best way to catch them is. Is it solo? duo? hopping worlds? staying on one world and catching all 5 over and over? I think the best way might be to get 5 people, 1 at each spawn. In theory, that should give each of the 5 more Kinglys than all 5 trying to solo. Of course I'm talking about Mos Le Harmless and not Puro Puro.

The problem is by welfaring you have more of a chance of being crashed. In these days you have to bring max gear to compete. Jagex needs to make dung rewards actually protect over stuff like bandos. O rly? I lost some kills at solo Bandos once to a crasher who had neither Overloads nor Turmoil.

I soloed Bandos 1200 times, killing 3k+ minions. Nothing above a Shard from minions.

This is the precise reason I will only spec with Excalibur at solo Bandos. Even then, if my Prayer drops to 0, my CLS is risked. Not a big DKer, but I would welfare to the point of CLS protection there too. This is making me feel really nooby about ragequitting over 1.5m + Effigy lost at TDs yesterday.

The new boss, unless Corp-like would be soloed day and night by people like me, and the drops for at least the first day would be used to get into the high street market.

That was when RS was at its prime. (Gameplay and players) RS wasn't in it's "prime" until August 29, 2007(essentially the end of Summer).

Disks and Pumps fell in street again. Now it's at least a solid 3 Pumps + Cash for a Purple. I'm starting to think it's better to try to snipe Phats on GE than work your way up to one via Disks/Pumps.

I take 2 doses of Super Prayer before each new run. I generally use Turmoil as much as I did in the first run. I think Bandos is a lot better since it gives you better def. You couldn't tank Karil in Void as well as I can in Bandos. Same for Guthan and Torag.

Did you use defender? With bandos I can easily tank miths by switching between prot mage and ss. I can even solo KBD with just ss...so you're doing something wrong... edit: no def pots used Rune defender yeah. I just used purely soul split though, no switching to protect. I did only one dragon, so maybe I was unlucky... Also, for whoever is interested: Just did a few duels with someone with CLS (I have rapier). I am maxed melee, he was 99 str, 96 att, 92 def. We duelled with bandos tassets + chest, everything else off. No prayer and no food either. The outcome was 11 - 7 for the guy with the CLS. At first it went very even, until 7 - 6, then he kept winning until 11 - 6. To be honest, those duels only confirm how good cr is not how good the cls is... The setting you used is the worst case cenario a cr can be in comparison to cls(high def, no accuracy boosting items) and it still came out that well... Do remember thet every accuresy/strength boost is used much better on a faster, inferior(by percentages) weapon. I'd predict a 10-7 outcome on maxed/no pots/pray with bandos/def/fury/fire(ardy for cr) cape etc and even better if pots/pray allowed. Bedman, duel me with all armor on, no prayer or pots? I have CLS.
