Chaotic Kiteshield > Divine Spirit Shield?
17-18-401-60773960 That topic doesn't have much info on the first page about the Chaotic at places like Bandos though. Assuming that there is an equal chance of it reducing 1% damage as there is it reducing 20%, you'd average 4% of the Graardor's Ranged damage reduced. The Chaotic is nowhere near as good as an Elysian or Divine, but because of it's stats it's the 3rd best shield for the majority of situations in RuneScape where Defence is required. The special effect is barely worth mentioning though. For example, for the Chaotic to be equal in terms of HP saving to the Elysian (ignoring their stat differences), you'd need to be fighting a monster that maxes at least 700 with Ranged, can't be prayed against and have no other monsters attacking you at that time. Does that mean Elysian's going back up? Only reason it crashed was Chaotic Shields tbh.

Big barrows analysis
500+ solos since I got any major drop from Bandos(Boots aren't major drops), and in 24 Barrows chests I got Ahrim Skirt, Guthan Plate, Dharok Helm. Barrows might not stack up over time, but it's fun and relaxing to me. As opposed to TDs where it felt like I was at a job where I had to meet some kind of quota. Should be a bit better now that Woox16 made his TD vid though.

Picking up greens and golds
You don't lose any time picking up charms. And even if you did the XP you gain is definitely worth the time spent. Xp gain past 99? Don't see why you would care about that unless you're maxed or something. I find the amount of 99 summoners that still pick up all charms surprisingly large, I did that for a few days after 99 but then I was like nah it's pretty useless anyway, can't be bothered to do it anymore. Summoning is still one of the easier skills to get impressively ranked in, which is why I currently pick everything up. No lies I haven't actually used any greens or golds in a very long time though. They make a nice collection in the meantime. Many people with 99 summoning are also maxed combat, so if you're training at all, you probably do care somewhat about xp after 99, or you were lazy and didn't max slayer early enough. :P My reasoning in picking up every charm is that I value summoning experience, and it really can be done with minimal time wastage. Kill something, attack the next, after each attack move a few steps towards the drop and you'll have it in no time. It's a bit tedious, but since RS is tedious it doesn't strike me as too unreasonable. Exactly how I see it. I was quite surprised to see I was rank 590 summoning, when I used all my charms at the xp weekend (went from lvl 98 to 99 and up, 15.1M xp) That's how I see it too. At the start of the year, I was rank 246 with 16.4m exp. Now I'm rank 566 with 16.5m exp. I do like to see my rank go up, but not at the expense of skills I don't have 99 in. Which is why I trained Herblore, Smithing, and Crafting for bonus exp weekend.

New Age of Monster Hunting
I like Solo Bandos a lot due to the guaranteed 700k+ an hour from the Bones and 20k+ drop. I can easily down close to 2 per Overload dose.

The death of making money by skilling.
Ok, not dead, but most certainly "obselete". Let's use solo Bandos as an example. With my Chaotic Longsword, I can down roughly 2 bosses per Overload dose. We'll say 1.3 bosses per dose considering luck, and time spent at bank and getting KC. Now, completely ignoring the chance of big drops(especially considering my last drop was Boots 245 kills ago, and my last major drop was 469 kills ago), we'll say each boss kill is roughly 50k on average. I believe that figure is accurate considering the Bones alone are 15k, and drops such as Rune Plates and Snapdragon Seeds are fairly common, balanced out by drops like 20k Coins, Magic Logs, Coal, and Addy Ore. 50k times 1.3 times 12 is 780k an hour soloing Bandos not factoring in any drops Shard or higher. I think the 1.3 might even be a bit conservative. Now I've read your dynamic moneymaking guide and I believe the highest non limited method clocked in at around 1.15m an hour. When you consider that I'm likely on a big unlucky streak at Bandos, and that I have the wealth and supplies to "roll the dice" literally hundreds, even thousands of times, it's clear that Solo Bandos would normally be the better moneymaker. I love how you say combat is waaaaaaaay better then skilling for money, yet you use overloads? What are overloads, if not skilling? Yes, you are using combat, but your also using a non-combat skill to do so. Also keep in mind that Solo'ing Bandos with a Chaotic weapon and overloads is not something that the average player has access to. If you want to use a boss, your best bet is Dag Kings probably - to my knowledge, no high skill levels or quests are needed to kill/solo them effectively. These days, GW is all but impossible to go to if your not a very high level, as you can't solo it or get on good teams. TD's are a slightly better example but WGS is a fairly elite quest. The rest of the bosses don't make enough money to mention. (Maybe the mole makes some money, but he's pretty weak, and in ant case doesn't make that much money. Nor does he have any 1mil + or 10mil+ drops.) Or barrows. That's a good place to mention in a combat > skilling argument. I would like to mention that around mid 2008 - early 2009, before Overloads existed, and before I owned a Divine, I was still able to solo the Sara boss 15-20 times a trip. Slower than solo Bandos, and yet I averaged a Hilt in a bit under every 200 kills. Only real requirements for that are a good Range/Def level, good gear, 52 Summoning, and 70 Agility.

The death of making money by skilling.
Well you missed Visages, and the release of Dark Bows. And although the Extreme pot update doesn't make money with Herblore itself, it was one of my favorite recent updates. It FINALLY gave high Herblore(I was 89 at the update) a use and did help with PVM moneymaking. That is why I went from casually leveling as I grew the Herbs to spending 80m+ powerleveling to get Overloads. And it was worth every penny.

Then kids would complain like they did about overloads or how they need to get skills to make it which will ultimately result in lower requirements and cheaper prices. Like 1m R2Hs in RSC. And Overloads still require 96 Herblore.

Rocktails would fit technically, if you afk for long periods, with auto-retaliate off. World 84 has a ton of people there 24/7 reducing the chances of me being targetted. And I always play with sound on, and I always take decent armor down there.

The death of making money by skilling.
Only 2 I can think of off the top of my head are Kingly Imp hunting and Wilderness Rune Mining. The only "danger" in the former is the competition from other players. The latter used to be incredibly dangerous due the threat of PKers, but now the biggest threat is again, other players. I can't honestly think of anything both profitable and dangerous(and not by sheer competition) as far as skilling goes.

The RS economy is just different. In real life, raw materials are worth less then finished goods. In RS, its the opposite in many cases, since potential/stored XP is a large factor in item prices. There is nothing wrong with that. But that was not always the case. The reason potential exp is a factor is because of the Skill capes as I said. If you go back pre-skill cape, raw materials were much more dependant on ease of collecting and how much profit could be made through a production skill. Take for example sharks. When the price of raw sharks rose to the price of cooked sharks, people would stop cooking them forcing the raw price down. Now, simple breaking even or making a low loss keeps the price down for those wanting an easy skill cape. But what about the collection skills? An idea I saw a long time ago that I took a liking too was a new high level(90+) WC tree that gave untradeable logs that could be Fletched(also 90+) into Battlestaves. Fishing has been revitalized somewhat, although not a lot because of Rocktails. Mining needs something above Rune Ore at 85.

The death of making money by skilling.
In the beginning of RS, long before I played, skills were THE way to make money. I've read stories of how Bluerose13x, the first to 99 Smithing sold Rune 2hs for 1m each(100m+ by our standards today probably). Now let's fast forward to mid-late 2005 when I started playing. I made my money mostly by skills doing some combat on the side. By early-mid 2006 my main moneymakers were Barrows and Runecrafting. As I leveled my Runecrafting higher and higher, I dreamed of 91, where I could make a guaranteed 1m an hour, incredible money at the time. I also did more and more combat, getting 85 Slayer at level 112 January 2007. My first 99 was Fletching, achieved at total level 1837, after getting 85 Mining in order to alch in the Heros Guild. Now for June 2007, I read behind the scenes and learn that Dark Bows are coming. I instantly start training Slayer like crazy to get my 88 Slayer to 90 before the update. I succeed, and end up getting 5 Dark Bow drops. Those drops, along with a solo D Chain from KQ, allowed me to buy 99 Prayer(D Bones ran about 1.3k ea). After getting 99 Prayer, I decided to chase level 126 via Slayer, since I had already knocked out the hardest part. God Wars comes out about a week after I get 99 Str at level 124. I get owned trying to solo the bosses at first, but soon find a safespot for Zammy, and later Bandos. I made like 40m+ in 2 days at the Bandos safespot with 2 solo Bandos Plates, absolutely unimaginable before GWD was out. I get level 126 October, and eventually start fooling around with solo Arma. On December 13 2007, I see a Blue drop and think, oh 20 Rune Bolts probably. But much to my shock, I picked it up, saw the feathers, and the words "use Armadyl Hilt". I cannot describe the sheer emotion I felt as I realized I had just soloed a ONE HUNDRED TWENTY MILLION drop. Before GWD, 120m would have been 8 Dragon Chains, some major luck at Barrows, or a lot of Runecrafting. and I had just gotten it off one drop, killing 1-2 Armadyl bosses per trip. Summoning comes out and I instantly want the new level 138 to become even more powerful. My PVM capabilities evolve over time until I'm easily soloing 15-20+ GWD bosses a trip. I eventually did get 91 Runecrafting, but it's almost pointless to use it for money, considering what I can do at GWD or TDs. My point after all of this, is that I think money making via skills is severely underpowered compared to making money via PVM. The only viable method I see right now of making good money with skills is Hunting for Kingly Implings. And that is honestly better at generating "street value" than real money. I could have rushed all my buyable skills to 99 a while ago, but I chose not to simply because I see those skills as almost pointless because they do nothing to help me in PVM. I felt that way about Herblore for a while, but as soon as I found out what Overloads did with Sara Brews, I happily dropped 80m+ powerleveling it to 95. In conclusion, I don't feel that making money by PVM is "overpowered" or anything like that. What I do feel is that money making via skills is essentially obsolete.

Picking up greens and golds
I normally pick up all Charms unless there's a constraint on my invo space, like at solo Bandos. 99 Summoning, 16.5m exp.

09-Jun-2010 - Court Cases
Agreed. Overloads reboost your stats by 25 every 15 seconds. Meaning I can start an online stopwatch and time my brews so I don't need super restores.

Are Runescape bosses too easy now?
Although arguable, that's still sad considering the Bandos boss is not only over double the KBD's level, but is also supported by 3 130+ minions. Not to mention his drops are way better than the KBD. On the afformentioned 28 kill solo trip, I made about 2 million despite not getting any special drops.
-
Are Runescape bosses too easy now?
Yes, the bosses are too easy now. I go so far as to say that Bandos is and has been easier than say the KQ, and that today's GWD bosses ARE as easy as the KBD was in 2007. On my most recent solo trip, I killed 28 bosses in addition to the several FFA kills I got when 2 people tried to crash me. I highly doubt I could solo the KQ 28 times in 1 trip(not that I would even want to try with the biggest drop being worth about 7m) seeing as she's in 2 forms and Bandos only has 1 form. At Arma, I can now do 15+ kills a trip solo easily. Even before Extremes and Curses, I was able to solo Sara 18-20 times a trip.

Solo Bandos
Ring of Life. I always wear it when I solo GWD, and I've been lifed out of all 4 bosses.

Killing more than one TD at a time?
Ok, so I've seen for myself how much Steel Titan owns at TDs, and how to maximize its effectiveness. It hits so high that I don't even switch Void Helms enabling me to focus on switching between Crossbow and Chaotic Long. My main question is how can you set things up so that you can kill 2 TDs one at a time, as opposed to waiting for one to respawn? If I could cut out the time waiting for respawns too, I may well be looking at the best solo PVM moneymaker in the game.

The death of dungeoneering?
Actually, blasting through the lower floors on complexity 1 and 2 isn't all that moronic when you consider that it allows you to spend more time focusing on 5:5 larging the big floors. Plus it cuts out the trouble of having to find a "rush" team. This is especially good when you consider that most people want to 5:5 rush, even though 5:3 rushing is better.
-
The death of dungeoneering?
I find Dungeoneering to be fun, a lot more fun than Agility anyway. However, I see no real reason to get 99 for now, or even much past 83 or so. Once I get my Chaotic Long, there will only be a few other things I want from the skill, getting me most likely to the aformentioned 83 Dungeoneering. However, I've noticed a lot of times I'll be on a team with one or more "pro"(85+ and likely not just in it for Chaotic weapons) Dungeoneers.

Dungeoneering Invisible Boss Glitch.
It also happened to all 4 others in the party, both times too. So either 9 people's computers have problems, or jagex's servers have problems.
