  1. I think the bonus xp is mainly due to behind the scenes modifications. I hope it includes % bonuses, and finally just lets those work more places :c I hate how some bonuses can't stack, or can't be used in certain locations.
  2. As if Jagex is capable of fixing it given their current history of completely misunderstanding feedback? I'm just hoping for updates to the NIS and HTML5 beta are solid for this month, (which would explain why the month is light on regular content.)

  4. We're saying that she should be balanced with level 70/75 gear in mind. The fact that people use higher leveled gear on her is because there aren't any high-leveled bosses except for the kalphite king. She shouldn't be made harder because of that. It just creates more problems. No. An emphatic no. Nex was intended to be end-game (in terms of difficulty if not the level of her gear) when she was released, and she was. Post-EoC she has been a complete joke. She should not be watered down any further under any circumstances. High-level players have what? 2 real bosses? KK and Nex? There is no reason why Nex should be snatched from them to be given to lower level players who already have various bosses -- including all of God Wars. No. As for making her harder, they aren't actually making her harder. They are merely restoring her to what she was. I see no problem with this. High level players need stuff and bosses to do too, you know. It still makes no sense that it should be impossible to kill Nex without gear she drops. Yes ofcourse that gear exists now, but it really shouldn't be relying on having that gear to kill Nex. She should be "doable" though maybe not hyper efficient with lv75 gear. Yes, Nex gear should make her even easier/better. but that's a different issue.

  7. Except if Nex has dmg bonus, and Ports does not, the extra defense is usually negligible compared to higher offense.

  9. I was only going for the "it takes more effort/skill to make something than to use it" idea. But I do agree, it would make more sense the other way in terms of gameplay.
  10. The game definitely changed. There is so much content that newer players can be overwhelmed. Also, there are a lot of issues with availability. Some things could be done, but definitely is a big issue to tackle.
  11. That should really be done, though possibly maybe a bit higher (like 5-10 lvls above level requirement) But definitely make the gear not spread out over levels. Then add higher level interesting things, like minor enhancements.
  12. I think all that really needs to be done is help locate some of the newer gear shops in burthorpe/taverly, so that it is easier to find things.

  14. At least instancing means that lower-ish lvl people can actually attempt the bosses without the risk of being trolled by higher lvl people.

  16. Probably both, to be honest. I bet that they redid the interface system so that it's more handled by the client instead of talking to the server, meaning less back and forth chatter on the network. And just general improvements to the efficiency. The NIS interface is really well polished, and ran super smooth, by far miles ahead of HTML5. Hopefully we'll see a lot of that benefit.

  21. ALG, They're planning on that with the improved interface (alpha doesn't have black backgrounds) :)
  22. You don't need if or case statements, you can just use a hash-array where level maps to xp rate. The hard part isn't programming it but finding all the xp rates. You can make some estimations for gathering skills, and you can easily calculate creation (non-random) based skills. The trouble is finding out that information isn't super useful in general. @Thai: we aren't missing that, but this would be assuming the best xp methods. It does require determining which quests would be considered important.
  23. Urza, we actually have one. You can move it around, it shows active prayers, active abilities, and other combat buffs. It doesn't show timers (that could be done via a circle clock like how abilities show how long till they recharge) and it also doesn't show most noncombat ones. They need to update it to be a proper window, (drag/drop with tabs) and it needs to show times. Question: can anyone confirm if the message chat logs are still linked or can we finally prevent having massive game messages delete our friends and clan chats?
