  1. That will be very useful, especially if we can have multiple tabs open at once, and other sets of things be visible easily. Hopefully also means updated action-bar which enables us to put more stuff on there, and edit what it does. (I would like to be able to put each summon action there, and change whether an item's trigger is drop or something else (possibly use for ex)
  2. The fundamental issue with skills being worth while is because the goal is xp. As long as the goal is xp, prices for items will shift till it isn't profitable anymore, unless all it takes is time. Even then, it will end up being not worthwhile because the price of producing that output will either be worse xp/hr or worse gp/hr than other methods. Combat is interesting because people do it for things other than xp. But other skills don't quite work that way. I would be interested in having skill bonuses that don't give xp (so the method can't be used to train) but it gives other benefits. Ex: high lvl potions, though they can be used to train they also create a reason to train) and so forth. Prayer for example, use != training, so you want the lvl and then get a benefit. I would also love to see non-combat stuff that has effective hp, sort of like a rock that you mine and your mining actually does dmg instead of having a low accuracy but only 1 hit point. Just like combat, but you can get special rewards from it and stuff. This would enable abilities and stuff you could add for non-combat.
  3. Me to it would be nice to have there :)
  4. Don't be absurd. Yes it is still got tons of issues. But they fixed a lot of crap while it was in beta. Just didn't redesign it, but there were tons of minor fixes and other issues.. they didn't do everything, and they could've been more responsive, but... they did do stuff during beta.
  5. I don't think that's dud at all :) Quite a few things going on, not to mention beta access to RS3 possibly for those who get picked and/or are premier members? XD
  6. Really?? :c I didn't know this :(
  7. I would actually enjoy a system of untradable drops that uses some new system to help determine who gets it. (better than/different than lootshare points) Maybe not for full items, but like the ideas of bind-on-pickup, and bind-on-equip which. Maybe for small attachments. This would enable more boss hunting for more than just straight up gp/hr because you are hunting for a non-tradable. Not really sure how well it would carry over to RS though.
  8. Except that new players don't generally understand xp rates or care about some of those hidden changes. The problem is when you get to the "mid-core" players who are interested but not really new, and who get fed up every time something changes and are unwilling to learn it. EoC had this problem in spades, and it is taking a long time to fade because a) they keep changing, b) there are few guides c) no old methods work well, and d) so many things are undocumented
  9. I do like vampyrism :D it's fun to stack soulsplit, vampy scrim+aura and blood spells :D (useless, but fun)
  10. "my brother" is very often used in tightly knit communities where no blood-ties are implied. It can be a sign of respect, doesn't have to mean they are related.
  11. The problem with finishing old quest lines is that it doesn't get new players excited because they haven't done the quests to get there yet. It's a tough balance. They should finish them but they need to get a stable point where they aren't worried about losing everyone because of outdated graphics/gameplay/etc. But they also can't risk losing their hardcore fans because without us they wouldn't be around long enough to get new ones. They are doing really well I think, with enough solid updates recently, and the Sof/Solomon bits really did get them some influx necessary to do this. (even if it meant moving towards that micro model that a lot of players vocally dislike) But they have been incredibly popular....
  12. That also depends because as you get regular pendants they stop showing up (only allowed duplicates of prismatics) And how do you count prismatic pendants which give you some xp but require you to actually train after the fact.
  13. Ok, based on the buffed xp for abyssals that is a much nicer change. I was afraid due to their recent change to the slayer xp formula where hp doesn't count as much as before, and that made tons of monsters give very little xp.
  14. The reason they want so few is so that everyone who's doing them will be doing them all at once. There's no point to it if there's no competition, so there has to be a good crowd for every warband. If they capped it at 3 a day (the most you can do in a 24 hour period atm) and doubled the rate to 4 hourly (so there's only 6 in a 24 hour period) how exactly would they become super sparse? The trouble with 8 hourly, as i covered in my post, is it can end up with a cycle where you can never actually reach the content. It's simple. You've now spread out all those people over twice as many spots, and so you have half the player density per game. They want a really high player density per game in order to enable the pk-er aspect they want.
  15. I'm alright with them changing and nerfing things. That happens and it is important. What I'm not ok is with them randomly changing stuff over time with no explanation, and without considering every aspect. Slayer has changed practically every week's update in the past few weeks, sometimes silently nerfing monster xp or changing stuff around. It could've used a lot more work at the beginning before EoC launched.. I want them to be consistent and explain themselves when they make changes like that.
  16. No one is asking them to devote hours. But surely they can spend 15 minutes or whatever it takes to make sure that the best armour in the game is aesthetically pleasing? Never underestimate the power of the aesthetic; fashionscaping exists for a reason. Hell, how hard is it to google up some samurai images and basically rip that off? I wasn't saying I agree with their philosophy simply putting what I believe it is.
  17. SGS makes them money directly.. it's easier to justify development time on the graphics of those items :c
  18. It shouldn't be anywhere near as obtrusive.
  19. I think he meant "only way to train slayer" :P
  20. They already nerfed the xp, and now if they raise hp without even giving us any xp... it will be nerfed and then nerfed again.. wtf are they trying to do to slayer?
  21. Hopefully that increases they're piddly slayer xp? And I'm so glad I finished slayer and don't have to worry about all their crazy tweaks to it..
  22. As for (1), yes it should be fixed, but I didn't think anyone did those diversions anyways.... They only give you back a few runes.
  23. Asking you for a source of your quote is totally legit, and it is on you to provide the source. You don't get to pawn off that work to the person asking for legitimate proof.
  24. Not to mention they allow the java client for backwards compatibility if the user doesn't want html5... so kind of moot point.
