  1. There is no Astra Talisman. The Altar is above ground so there is no need for one. If you are looking to make Astrals to sell, I wouldn't recommend it until you can make double Astrals. Astrals don't sell that well and I have been able to get them as low as 100each.
  2. Yes, this has been around since the quest has come out and No, I would not read too much into this. Sometimes Jagex just likes to tease us during quests, like in Swan Song where they tease us with a blue p hat, and My Arm's Adventure where they tease us with full dragon. There are other ones as well, but those are the biggest two I can remember off the top of my head.
  3. You can buy the Facemask from any Slayer Master
  4. After the Fremmy Isle quest, you were supposed to be able to get the Jester Costume back if you lost/destroyed it, but the chest was locked and you could not retrieve a new set. I heard that this has been fixed, but can someone confirm this before I dump my suit? Thanks
  5. Depends on what you are looking for: If you just want cheap defense, go with Torag (no hammers) and use a whip/d scimmy with a Rune Defender or good shield. If you want high Prayer Bonus, go with Verac If you want to be able to heal yourself and stay longer at training spots, get Guthan. If you want to train Strength and get high hits, go with Dharok, but its risky as you need to be at low health to get the maximum effect from the set.
  6. Since your agility is 50+, as soon as you get your Thieving to 50+, you can buy Lockpicks cheaply in the Rogue's Den in Burthorpe. Stock up on them so you don't have to thieve the bandits to get more. And just like most things in Runescape, its all luck, but the higher your level, the more likely you are to be successful. I did DT around 65 Thieving and got it on the 3rd try.
  7. Keeping the Protect Item Prayer on seems kind of pointless since you also have Protect From Melee on the whole time (unless you are planning on dying from poison).
  8. That was the last set I needed and I got him 4 times this weekend. And the random is always full of people too, it's starting to look like Prison Pete's place. It also seems to be related to teleporting. One time I was in there with 6 other people and we all had air staffs wielded.
  9. Since Jagex went out of there way to previously say that Luring was OK, there is no way that they can ban people for Luring in the past.
  10. As great as the rule sounds, it looks like it will still be hard to enforce. Most of the lures involve a lower leveled guy bringing you into the wilderness for a trade and then one or more of his friends who are your level come in and kill you. But how can Jagex know this? Especially if they communicate with each other outside of Runescape (like AIM)? The best solution would be for Jagex to ban trading in the wild, but that would cause an uproar from PKing clans and such. But maybe they could make it so that you have to wear the same type of wildy cape to be able to trade in the wild?
  11. I wish they stopped being aggressive at 116 combat (*points to sig*). Another good thing about the Ring area is that there are not nearly as many whip beggars around. Usually the only people who come in there are the ones who just got RC PKed and they need to get their pouches back. Although I did run into one moron there. He came up and started fighting one of the demons and said that he was going to "help me". I tried telling him that this was a not a multi-combat area and that he was not going to do any damage to the demon. But he he just stayed there hacking away and hitting all 0's. That was the only time that I wished the demon's max hit was higher than 8
  12. Also remember that even through the Abyss, you can't have any weapons or armor to get to the Law Altar. It's safest just to stick with Nats.
  13. Cooking and Fletching both give lots of random events including Mime.
  14. I usually only fight Zombies and Tree Spirits because of their drops. The hardest one to kill has got to be the Strange Plant, but it doesn't really matter since it doesn't drop anything.
  15. The best one is if you give him a Cadantine, he will give you a Super Restore(4).
  16. This is a good idea. Once we get the Behind The Scenes, we will know some of the key words and phrases and may be able to decode some of these. But for right now, it's about impossible.
  17. If I was too lazy to bring prayer potions or just forgot, if I left the barrows my tunnel would brother change and I would have to start over, right? Nope, when you go back, you pick up right where you left.
  18. With supercompost, and magic secateurs, I always get a random number of herbs between 5 and 16. But 7 seems to be the most common result. The different patches and the seed types don't seem to make any difference.
  19. Cave Horrors don't drop Rannar Seeds either. They should make a distinction of this in the bestiary. Jagex breaks Herb Seeds down into 2 categories for monster drops: All, and no low seeds. Jagex's definition of the "low seeds" are Guam, Marrentil, Tarromin, Harralander, and Rannar. So the only way to get Rannar seeds is to fight a monster that drops all herb seeds (usually these are lower leveled monsters). If you fight monsters that don't drop low herb seeds (like dags and cave horrors) you will get lots of Toadflax and Irits as those are the lowest herb seeds they drop. Hope that wasn't too confusing.
  20. The only problem with the Lighthouse Dags is that they do NOT drop Rannar seeds, which is what the original poster said they wanted most. To get Rannar seeds, you have to kill monsters that drop all types of herb seeds, like Moss Giants and Trolls.
  21. No, the Zombie Monkies in the cave. You stand underneath an overhang so rocks don't fall on you and keep Protect against Melee prayer on.
  22. I've done the glass making and it is good magic and crafting XP, but its almost impossible to sell in bulk. Most people that will contact you want to buy one or two for a quest or something for their house. Barrows is all about luck. As a person stated above, with an efficient routine, you can make a steady profit off the runes and bolt racks that you get, but the real money comes from the Barrows items and they are entirely random. And even if you get a Barrows item, the prices of the 24 different ones vary wildly. And if you take expensive equipment and die, you could lose all your profits in an instant.
  23. You can get rock cakes after the Watchtower quest. Just steal from the stall just like you did in the quest. And the explosive potion comes from the Digsite quest.
