  1. ill just quote my self every 3rd post until i get an answer :ohnoes: lol just kidding but please answer my question? There is no answer. As always, the price is what you want to pay for it. This is a brand new weapon and the drops are not "free" since slayers have to be using prayer constantly. Pick a price you feel comfortable with and buy one. The market is not going to be flooded with these since once the novelty wears off, the slayers will move back to Abby Demons since they are basically free to kill.
  2. I got that in Guthan's Tomb on the rare occasion when he decided to put up a fight. I clicked on my emergency food and my one click tele, but I keeled over and ended up in Fally. I ended up giving Guthan back his spear and helm along with a lot of other presents. :(
  3. Trolls drop them fairly often. But they hit hard.
  4. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes Nechs better than Abbys. Whips are way too infrequent and Abbys are a lot harder to kill. And as a farmer, I love the seed drops.
  5. The best thing I could see coming from this is a reduced price at the Lumber Mill. But I seriously doubt that would happen, if for no other reason, it would totally trash the new Lunar Spell. Nowing how Jagex likes to drain money, they will probably make a Hard Task be to make 1K Mahogany Planks. :x
  6. I would say that the initial price drop is due to 2 factors: Jagex had a high drop rate when they first released the Dark Bow, and people writing off the bow since it was so slow. I can personally attest that the drop rate has been lowered dramatically (I camped there for 7+ hours last night and not only did I not get a bow, I only saw one person all night get one). Since its much more expensive to kill Dark Beasts than it is to kill Abby Demons, and since their other drops are about the same (with a huge advantage to Abby Demons since they drop level 3 clues), the price of Dark Bows will have to stay a lot higher than Abby Whips or high leveled slayers will get fed up and go back to camping at the Abby Demons.
  7. 3rd Age Melee Platelegs from TT. Warspear from Barrows. 6 Whips from Abby Demons. 3 Dragon Legs from Metal Dragons. I like to spread it around a little.
  8. Anyone know yet if the dragon arrows and darts can be poisoned? I would imagine they could be, but just wondering.
  9. The problem with Slayer is that whenever you want to train it fast, it seems like they always give you the horrible/slow assignments. I'm glad I was able to get 90 before the announcement. Also, since this will just be a change to the Dark Beast droplist, it would really stink if Jagex decided to make the change as a hidden update. The first person to find out about it would be some lucky 90+ doing a Dark Beast Slayer assignment.
  10. At first, the only people who will be buying/using these bows will be rich people who want to show off and high stakers. And for all these people who think that the bow price will drop quickly, I wouldn't count on it. Don't forget that Dark Beasts require constant prayer pots. If the drop rate is so low that you have to use several 100K in prayer pots to get one, people aren't going to want a break-even sell price. Most people will go back to Abby Demons at that point and the low supply of Dark Bows will keep the price high.
  11. A cannon is an interesting idea. Since the area is not multi-attack. ranging or maging from a distance with Mage Protect on and using a cannon would lock up several Dark Beasts. Of course, cannons are so slow in rotating that it's possible to steal monsters away from them. which I'm sure everyone will be doing. Cannons would probably only help after a while when you can find an empty world to yourself off-hours. And some of the other decent drops that people will not want to leave or alch are Rune Kites, Half Keys, higher end gems (including Dragonstones), Death Talisman, and expensive herbs. So 6 extra spaces are worthwhile. And if you want to get 100K for your Death Talisman, sell it now. The market is likely to get flooded with them soon.
  12. Agility - They keep adding new courses, but they have yet to figure out that we want other ways to train this skill than just running around in circles with some obstacles along the way. Smithing - Slow XP (unless you want to waste tons of cash on Gold Ore) and if you get to 99 you can make... the 8th best melee chest protection in the game. There is some incentive :wall:
  13. It sounds like those may have been the price when crossbows first came out. Once everyone realized how bad Crossbows and the bolt specials were, no one used them anymore.
  14. There are 3 ways to get Snakeskin A) Random event in Temple Trekking B) Random event in Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup C) Mos Le'Harmless Since you need a lot of Snakeskin in order to make anything, I would definitely recommend C. There is a bank nearby and I always like to collect skins when I get a Jungle Horror Slayer assignment.
  15. I used to be a low combat skiller, but having a low combat level began to limit what I could do. My combat level and low magic level made me an easy target every time I tried to abyss RC, for example. So I decided to work on Slayer. Using a Whip on Controlled setting, I was training 5 Skills at once, and getting cash and raw materials for other skills. And a lot of those raw materials were for 2 of my favorite skills, Farming and Herblore. And these free raw materials were expensive and/or next to impossible to get in a non-combat related method. I love training multiple skills at once (or doing skills that provide raw materials for other skills) so I have no regret for giving up being a low combat skiller. To each there own though.
  16. Sanfew Serum is not new. It was released at the same time as the Nail Beasts.
  17. The only thing it will help with at Barrows are the Skeletons in the tunnel. Definitely not worth taking.
  18. If you can, we are going to be seeing a different type of Abyss PKer. Players around level 120 who don't have 90 Slayer camping out near the mage. Forget about a Glory and D'hide, imagine how much those 90 Slayers will lose.
  19. Not maxed out? How about being 90 Slayer with no 99's at all? I'm glad I got to 90, because using Wild Pies does not sound fun at all. Inventory is already going to be tight with Mourner's Gear and Prayer Pots. Anybody think Jagex will create a new place to kill Dark Beasts, like the Fairy Ring Abby Demon spot?
  20. WOOT!!! Just got 90 Slayer last night! Thank you Jagex. Now to go trap 7.2K Chinchompas
  21. Do you think it affected the economy for good or worse? I think the 99 capes had a much higher impact than Construction did. What are your top three favourite things about the construction skill? Teletabs, Gilded Altar, Costume Room, Teleports/Mounted Glory, What are you top three worst things about the construction skill? - Only 20 rooms, Waste of money at higher levels, What do you think could be improved? More flatpacks, More things to build, More Ancient and Lunar teleport portals, More rooms to be able to build rather than the current 20, Ability to store incomplete Treasure Trail sets in Costume Room, Have Jagex remember to update the Costume Room when new quests/mini-games come out, Ability to store Barrows Armor.
  22. Scamming most certainly does affect the game. A lot of the skills are "buyable" (Dragon Bones, Gold Ore, etc). When you scam people, you make the game easier for you and harder for the people you scammed. Is that not blantantly obvious?
  23. I love Farming, but there are still several changes that I wouldn't mind seeing: More uses for the things you grow. Mostly you just grow items to use as payments for higher leveled plants. The skill tops out too low. After level 85, the only incentive left is the Farming Cape. Higher levels should mean something (less/no disease, more things to grow). Have a seed shop where you can only pay in produce or lower leveled seeds that you have no use for. I don't think this would corrupt the skill. Have higher leveled Monsters drop tree seeds and/or birds nests. When you are digging, have a chance to dig up a chest. The chest could have seeds, gems or even clue scrolls.
  24. There are some people that like to do it that way, but the spawning is very random and I personally think it wastes too much time.
  25. 3rd Age is ridiculously expensive and is not coming down to a reasonable price anytime soon. If you are worried about Barrows repair prices, I would not even think about 3rd Age.
