  1. Because Lobsters are eaten in 1 bite, whereas pies are eaten in 2 bites. May seem insignificant, but in PvP this is a huge difference.
  2. I really like Steel Dragon Slayer assignments. Once on a 12 Steel assignment I got 2 Dragon Legs. And yesterday on a 17 Steel assignment I got 2 Dragon Skirts.
  3. All monsters that drop gems also drop half-keys. The higher the monster, the higher chance of getting a half-key.
  4. The brother battled himself to death? :-k
  5. Blood Runes will require level 77 RC, will not be double-craftable, and most people seem to think it will be in Drakken Castle. As soon as they are craftable, it will have a noticable effect on the economy, since the price of Bloods will quickly be cut in half, from around 600 to 300 each. This will be a huge benefit to Mages as Ancient and God Spells will be a lot cheaper to cast. This will be a huge loss to people who rely on selling their Blood Rune drops (from Barrows, Metal Dragons, etc). Although Soul Runes will require 90 RC, they will have much less impact on the game since they are rarely used and already sell for around 300 each. And from an RCing standpoint, only people level 90 RC would make these since they would switch to making double nats at 91. Because of the impact, I would not be suprised to see Jagex release Souls before Bloods.
  6. It's very easy for the other person to switch because you are using your calculator to determine the price. I'm always buying hides, and I had someone try this one me, but fortunately I always do a double-check anyway that spoils this scam. After the other person puts up their hides, I use my calculator to determine the price. When I get to the second screen, I divide the amount on the calculator by the amount of hides listed on the screen. If the result is not the selling price, I either made a math mistake or he is a scammer. Either way I decline.
  7. So you went PKing with people that you just met, you got skulled and didn't protect your whip? WOW, just WOW!
  8. Geez, only have RC till all skills 70+? What a nub. Oh wait... Gratz and I'll race you to 70 RC!
  9. Wow, doing great with the FMing! Just met you the other day at CW and I consider myself an all-around skiller too (just not as good as you though  ) If you need to take a break and you want somebody to help kill the CW noobs, give me holler. My chat is almost always on.
  10. What is the point in debating a poorly chosen topic?
  11. Why or why not do you like Merchanting. I generally do not like merchanting. Merchants are middlemen who eat into the seller's profit and take more money from the buyer. In almost all cases, I would rather deal directly with someone, rather than having to go through a merchant. Is merchanting unfair? Most of the merchanting that I think is unfair is actually Jagex's fault. I like Herblore and to me, the best place to buy Water Filled Vials is the Ardougne General Store since they sell 300 at 12 each. However, they are almost always out of stock, because merchants buy them out and sell them on the forums for 250 each. All I'm asking for is a choice. Make the vials re-stock a lot faster so that one merchant can't buy them all. Sort of like Eye of Newt in Port Sarim. They restock so quickly that I have the option of buying them there for 3 each, or on the forum for 100-200each. Giving merchants the ability to take over the entire market for an item is never good. Are Merchanters scammers? It's like with PKing. The people who stink at it become RC PKers or clue scroll PKers. People who stink at Merchanting become scammers. For example, they flood busy market places and forums with ridiculous prices, trying to manipulate the prices of the items they are trying to buy or sell. Real merchants know what they are doing and don't have to resort to illegal tactics. And the last question are players who expose merchanting schemes right or wrong? Right. Merchants are middlemen. Like I said its all about having choices. Let the buyers and sellers know what the merchants are going to do with the items and in doing so, you are allowing the buyers and sellers to decide if they want to do that too, or if they think its too much of a hassle and would still rather just do business with the merchant.
  12. Jagex has bot/goldfarmer detectors and bans them all the time. But these characters are very easily replaced and its a never-ending battle for Jagex. So instead of focusing on the supply side, Jagex is now focusing more on the demand side. By tracking the bots/goldfarmers, Jagex knows when they give large amounts of GP to a "real" character, that character had to have bought the GP with real life money. Jagex is now stepping in and banning these buyers. This definitely gets rid of repeat customers and hopefully scares potential customers when Jagex posts information about some of the high level accounts they banned for buying GP. Be interesting to see how this plays out.
  13. The only way to get unid Snapdragons that I know of is as a reward from certain randoms.
  14. Yeah, the new potions are a let down, with the 2 dose limit. And you can't even use them on all potions (such as Sara Brews).
  15. Know your market. You will be buying from P2Pers as they get it as a clue scroll reward and they don't really want it, and you will be selling to F2Pers as it is an expensive variation of their best armor and they can't get it on their own (no clue scrolls). If you have the money and the bank space, the best way to do it is like with Barrows: buy the pieces separately and then sell the full sets. Buying and re-selling individual pieces won't make you much money.
  16. Once you add caviar or roe to a potion, that bottle shape changes and it's full at 2 doses. But once you use up the new potion, the bottle turns back into a regular empty vial.
  17. It's possible to get a second Law Talisman using the suicide method. Go to the guy in Burthorpe, kill yourself (expolsive potions) making sure that the Law Talisman is not something you keep when you die. Hurry back to the guy in Burthorpe (Games Necklace), get another Law Talisman and then pick your first one up off the ground.
  18. Fire Giants if you want fast Range XP. Blue Dragons if you want money, or free Prayer and Crafting XP.
  19. You lose the defense bonus and the set effect, otherwise no one would ever repair their Torags :D .
  20. There are a lot of monsters in there that can hit you hard. If you want to do it without prayer, use super energies and sharks and run the entire way. As long as you don't lag too much, you should be able to do it.
  21. What method are you using? It sounds like you are going there in mage robes and praying on every brother. With your stats, there are a lot of better/cheaper ways to go. But first tell us what method you use on each brother.
  22. Torags with a Halberd? That's a waste of repair money, as you usually don't get hit when you use a Halberd.
  23. The only thing that still makes the KBD still worthwhile is the chance at a head drop. As someone stated earlier, everything else it drops can be gotten from much easier monsters.
  24. Great job! I seriously thought that mining might get you, but you're doing great with it. Keep it up. Won't be that long till 70!
  25. Gratz! 70 Agility Rox! Good luck on the mining. It's going to be a long road. If you decide to do the Gem Mines, I promise to say Hi everytime I run past getting my Slayer assignment :D
