Some people claim that the Keris is more accurate, but with high Attack that is not a factor. I have done several tasks with my Keris(p++) and with my whip and I prefer my whip. If the Keris special were more frequent then I would use it. (Note: I use the level 85 Kalphites)

LMAO! Please learn who you are talking to before you shoot your mouth off and make a fool of yourself. Runescape is Java based. Java does not check for overflow during compilation. And why would a compilation warning not allow Runescape to run? Have YOU even programmed before? I assume that you are talking about a runtime overflow that would occur during the game and could potentially crash it. However, any decent programmer would do an overflow check before assigning a value. Contradict yourself much? The max hit that the spell lists is obviously the melee max hit, regardless of what type of attack the monster actually uses. And the max hit does not list other types of attacks that the monster can use (i.e. Dragon Breath). And even with melee-only monsters, the max hit is not always accurate (i.e. Dharok is listed at a max hit of 29, regardless of his HP). I would definitely consider this ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åflawed̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Red Dragons are not Slayer Monsters. I think this is more of that "wonderful" Jagex Customer Support. I know they never were and I was thinking the same about CS's quality... just a bit odd that the spell says they are slayer monsters. Daggonoth Kings are around 300HP each. You spelled Dagannoth wrong, and no they're not 300 HP, it's 255. Dagannoths heal very fast and the reason the Tip.It bestiary says 331 is me... before we knew that slayer XP was NOT equal to HP, as monster examine is teaching us. There have been so many flaws with this spell, I would think that the HP limitation is with the spell, rather than in the game itself (i.e., the spell can only report a maximum of 255 HP no matter what the actual XP is)

Master Slayer Guide by Axe Man Jack (AOW) Updated 9/06
Berrakus replied to bigmoneyak's topic in General Guides
I like to take my Ancient Mace on my Aberrant Specter assignments and whenever my spec bar is full, I go down the chain shortcut and smack a Crawling Hand for free Prayer Points. Its nothing major, but it comes in handy when I get lucky with my hits. -
Here is a quick assessment for some of the other types: Allotment - If you have a fully grown protection flower (or scarecrow) in place, your allotments will not die. Strawberries have no protection flower, but the easiest way to pay their payment is by the RFD chest (it sells 50 apples if you have completed RFD). Bushes - Not sure about the lower bushes, but I have grown hundreds of Whiteberry and Poison Ivy bushes with Supercompost and I never pay the farmer. I honestly cannot remember the last time one died. Herbs - If people are really scared about their herb seeds, plant your best seeds in the My Arm patch (rannar/snapdragon) and plant your lesser herb seeds in the other plots.

Wolfbane would allow you to kill the men and women of Canafis without them turning into Werewolves. If you had done that, you wouldn't have gotten Slayer XP for killing them.
-
When I go to the Gem Rocks, I always cut those 3 gems. If I have enough time before the rocks respawn, I always fletch them into bolt tips, otherwise I drop them.

D legs are the only piece that seems to be stable in price.

Should i stay with firegiants or black demons?
Berrakus replied to Negrito's topic in Help and Advice
Black Demons have horrible drops for their level. Stick with the Fire Giants. They are easier to kill and their drops are just as good or maybe even better. -
I've tried maging Metal Drags. Used about 10K Chaos and no drag drops. Even with the highest mage bonus, I still hit a lot of 0's. The only way that you will make money or even break even is if you get some drag drops. So it's just a gamble as to whether you feel lucky or not.

If you want several, fill your inventory with junk you don't want and keep pickpocketing him. All of your rings will appear on the ground. Once there are enough on the ground, drop some of your junk and pick up the rings.

Plank making- A sign of things to come?
Berrakus replied to Lord-kain1's topic in General Discussion
The biggest problem here is that ever since Construction came out, people have been wanting a way to make planks for free. Since Construction was made to drain money, that isn't going to happen. If you want "free" Construction XP, mine clay, mine limestone, collect plank spawns, or kill big bone droppers and collect Long and Curved bones. I'm sure there are others, but there are no fast and easy ways to level Construction for free. And as someone said above, if you mine and craft your own runes, then these spells give you a way to get cheaper planks. Quit trying to look for fast and easy ways to raise Construction for free. It's not going to happen. -
Since the message does not say Reward and to interpret it to say Reward would directly contradict the Knowledge Base, I wouldn't put too much faith in this meaning that a Ring of Wealth increases the chance of getting an item in the Chest.

In order to select any of the God crests you need 70 prayer. That's the highest prayer requirement I can think of.

The real abyss only offers 1/4 xp. The fairy ring abyss offers full xp. Also, the trick to get Abby Demon assignments every other time no longer works.

Fury Prices will NOT continue to drop. Previously, the most common way to get 300K Tokkul was by selling Chaos or Death Runes. If you paid 150 each for the Chaos or 300 each for the Death, you would spend around 5 Mill for the Onyx. This is were the standard price of ~5M came from. With the price of an Onyx dropping to 260K Tokkul the standard price should be around 4.3M. The reason Furies are lower than that price right now is because Tzar items can be sold for much more Tokkul than they have in the past. So people are buying up Tzar items (especially capes) and hoping to turn a quick buck. This is the reason that the market is being flooded with Furies right now, causing the lower prices. Soon, the Tzar item market will start to dry up AND rise in price. Once this happens, the people trying to make a quick buck will move on to something else and the Fury will stabilize at its new price. I admit that I don't do much killing in the Tzar area, but I don't think the drop rates will make relying on drops to get an Onyx to be a reliable source. So the common method for getting an Onyx will be selling runes and the price will settle in the 4.3M range.

One of the most useless spells ever to be created, many people do smith plates which they only use 25 bars per trip, of course they have a slot to hold the hammer. its not supposed to be a spell to avoid using hammers its supposed to be a spell to avoid using anvils! My bad, however if you consider the distance of anvils from a bank, the runes used for it is probably not going to worth the spell anyway, it's just going to be another dead spell only useful for convenient scenarios, not for mass smithing. This spell would rock at Steel Dragons.

I don't mind the spells being high level, but to me the Teleport spells cost too many Laws. I love Farming, but why waste 3 Laws to go to Catherby when you can just use 1 to go to Camelot?

Herb:seed ratio research (1k+ seeds done) ~with stats+pics~
Berrakus replied to hohto's topic in General Discussion
Have you kept track of how many seeds you have saved? Also do you use a Nature Amulet? If so, what patch do you have it tied to? -
skill capes realy worth all the effort?
Berrakus replied to flava0falcon's topic in General Discussion
Actually skill capes were a pretty smart idea on Jagex's part. As you mentioned, there are several skills that offer no benefit whatsoever after a certain level (82 Herblore, 80 Firemaking, etc.). With Skill capes. Jagex has given people an incentive to get 99 in these skills, but at the same time, Jagex still has the ability to expand these skills in the future. -
Dunno if this is an achievement..
Berrakus replied to Syd's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Awhile ago someone here on the forums got a kill count of 9999. He got an average reward as well. -
