  1. it shows... not as nice as you usedta be...
  2. no you idiot... that would be a japanese type of art called chibi... Your RSN says retired. Why would you still come to a RuneScape fansite forum? i come here out of habit. because i like it here. because i know and am frends with many of the people here. i am also a proud member of pixeljoint, a profesonal art community. not to mention a member of 2 other gfx sites. why do i come here you ask? because i can. btw 900th post. \ @ muffin man- ^^ sory for itn inaccurite quote, its like 11 pm here.
  3. holy f*** godslayer is back!!! lol sory couldnt help it. amaising as usual, but pleeeeese dont tell me your going to ruin it by putting some [insert word for male homosexual here] runescape related crap in it? pleeeeese tell me that the string in his hand is actually not a whip..... pleese? not really much to coment on at this stage, but the handle to the swrord is looking a bit like rope
  4. add another b&w gradient to focus the light a bit more if you want my oppinion. then again, im not a huge fan of the cad method... it lacks depth and flow. a few good things that you can learn from that tutorial that you should continue to use -gradients are a great way to focus your lighting. use them. -great coloring method. combine it witha few different gradient maps, and you can get some great color. -scaling the render. oh so important... i hate huge sigs with 90% render, 9 % border, and 1% them using two brushes and setting them on different blending modes. -use of different blending modes. experiment with them, they are your frends. -brushing. great brushing tequneques. defanantly use those. some things that the cad method doesnt teach you -depth, use effects and patterns such as scanlines, the line&stroke method, chequerbord pattern, and dots to add depth, and give you the feel of depth. -flow. this you just have to kinda figure out yourself. you have to find a direction that the sig is going, and create effects around it. for instance, that sig has a verticle render, so create patterns that flow with it, in the same direction, and work around that. borders. (not sure if this is covered in the cad method) cenmatic borders are always nice with a sig like that. i sugest you learn how to use them even if they dont fit with everything. dont get me wrong tho, 2 pix black is fine. thats it for now, but do me a favor, at least listen to some of my advice instead of just ignoring it?
  5. :D thats us for yeh =P just wait till cad gets on... then your guna wana cry for your mommy i know thats what i always want to do jk jk lol... lighting- completely random, but at least its there... focus the lighting on the render by adding gradients. flow- to put it frankly, there is none. these are [bleep]ey and compleatly random effects. on the top one, you attempted it with the line thing (i always love that effect for some reason) but the brushing kills it. again this relates back to the lighting issue. depth- little to none. again, the line in the top one (wif text on it) helps, but the brushing looks flat. in the bottem one, not really much of an effect, just some random brushing and filters. try c4ds,both on top and on the bottem of the render, erasing what you dont like, and use different photoshop effects. theres more then enough out there, including scanlines, patterns, chequred squares, the the line&stroke tool thing, and all those blending modes. border- make it a few pixels wider on the top and bottem, but otherwise well done there. text- bottem one is good. nice choice there, but the top one is just meh. color- there is none. the slivers are hard on the eyes, and dont really do anything for me. the bottem one is understandable because of the render, but the top one is just blah. color can be added by the use of gradient maps, overlay layers, and gradients. blending- very good overall, but then again its not hard to blend gray with more gray. renders- bottem one is meh, at least you changed it a bit and blended it well, but the top one? a smooth anime render over some [bleep]ey brushing? your light sources contradict, and the render and brushing dont match at all. also, dont paste your render over 75% of the thing, scale it. thats all for now. just do me a favor, after i took the time to type all this out, at least read through it, and try some of it, instead of "ccing my cc" and telling me why im wrong.
  6. no you idiot... that would be a japanese type of art called chibi...
  7. nope. just throw your photoshop out the window (or better yet, give it to me =P~ ). photoshop isnt for pixels. i sugest you look at terlies refrence.
  8. lense flares are fine, but not the way you used it..
  9. Judging the first two images 2 judges down pjb :D that would be what he means... edit: wtp? bb codes arent working for me?
  10. if your using photoshop to anamate, edit the bg on each frame so it has a constant light source.
  11. i think ima need more time. ive got an essay due thirsday, a ton of christmas shopping to do, two parties to go to, and my teachers dont give a crap if your jewish (im not), and they give you homework anyway... two days may not even be enough for me lol...
  12. quick edit to ehlp point out some anatomy problems.
  13. err... what the f***? if your trying to practice color choice, why are you using grayscale? add more contrast in colors. also, take a good pixel art, and try eyeballing the colors, meaning taking their palette, and trying to find the colors they used from scratch. thats the best way to practice.
  14. i only fixed the ship on the left... as for my quickfix, all i did was lighten it and add a border...
  15. I think the sig is "Its me osama's" and i think your an idiot. its his.
  16. @ demonex- yes. @ jokero (hope you dont mind me calling you that here...) pm it to megadedhead when your done. id just touch it up untill the deadlines up. @ md666- good idea, mdh, you should add that. @ mdh- add everyone to the brackets and make sure jokero goes up against mxm, that would be awasome to see.
  17. =O and last time i saw you, well, was a really long time ago! where did you dissapear too?
  18. your just like cad  you take good cc, and throw it right out the window  prehaps you should try to use his advice instead of telling him off?
  19. sorry for the ot, but.. my brothers name is skyler too! <3 ot: they all look like cloud filters put under a high opacncy gradient. prehaps using some brushes instead of filter piles? also, borders. add them. blend your render. as it is it sticks out to much.
