  1. I did most of my combat leveling before mime event came out. So about what I am now.
  2. I have been to forums where this has worked. It can work. One forum I have been to had as much spam and stupidity (and all that stuff I mentioned earlier) as this place, or even more. There was, however, one area where that kind of junk is not tolerated. It was serious, and when people spammed, their posts got deleted. People never posted without reading the thread, especially not when it was still a 1-pager. The mods there read every single post. This was possible because there were fewer overall posts, due to the lack of poor posts. Childish behavior was not tolerated, and would typically get a one day ban, or worse for repeated offences. I'm not asking for an overall forum overhaul, just one area where intelligent discussion can happen.
  3. Ok, it seems to me that every time an interesting topic gets posted in the general section, it ends up as a spamfest. As far as I can tell, the reasons for this are: 1. People have horrid grammar and spelling. 2. People don't read any posts. This means the first page alone can have almost identical posts. 3. People post off topic. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=648729 The above topic poses a very interesting question. Unfortunately, it is now deluged with poor, reiterated and off topic posts I propose a serious forum, for the purpose of discussing various topics on an intellectual level. The rules in this forum would basically be: 1. No flaming, spamming or trolling. No tolerance. 2. No reposts. 3. NO off topic. 4. Intellectual thinking would be required. Basically, reiterating the same argument in a debate over and over would result in a ban, lock, or post deletion. With the availability of such a forum, interested parties could have discussions, without worrying about constant clutter and spam.
  4. You should really only appeal if you didn't break a rule.
  5. I know HOW to report. I didn't want to come off as that much of a noob. Thanks.
  6. Ok, so if I see 5 lvl 3 bots with default outfit chopping yews, can I report them? If so, will it do any good?
  7. Nice if you want to bank lured fish, better than dropping or selling to gen store, in my opinion.
  8. Also interesting, once the new article comes, this one drops dead invariably. Last post wins. Victory.
  9. Finally, a good article. First one in a long time, thank you.
  10. why would they be dumb?!? magic logs and willows look pretty much the same and in german(if you don't know it) it would be hard to tell.(that's an example) Exactly, it's pretty dumb to trade when you don't know what you're trading. It's also stupid to not be suspicious when trading significant items to an English speaking guy on a German server. Zarfay: If you're reading this, you're an idiot. If you read my last post, you would have seen I said exactly the opposite of "how good".
  11. Lol, good point you got there :P lol, you make a good point, but I'm sure Jagex doesn't care. Also, as Jagex said, this will only really affect you if you're a scammer, or a noob who gets scammed.
  12. Just a question, does anybody ever read these responses? Seems kinda pointless to have this here when people just post and say "how good".
  13. These seem to be getting increasingly pointless. Howabout something interesting for a change? Like we had when the first issue came out. Also, you'd have to be pretty dumb to fall for that trick. It's dirty, I know, but anyone who stands to lose much would probably be smarter than to do something like that. Thanks for looking out for all the 9 year olds though.
  14. In some sort of twisted stretch of the imagination, I might...... But I would (pay attention) NEVER EVER Ever!!!!!!! buy a rune tips shirt for my 8 month old child. If all I can say about my baby is that his father spent 20 bucks on a shirt from a fan site of a relatively obscure MMORPG. That'd be kinda sad. Mostly for the kid. Might as well give him a cardboard sign saying "I'm almost as a big a nerd as my dad"
  15. This wouldn't really be an event though would it?
  16. 1. Neat! 2. The picture is fake(no duh)
  17. It's because they're n00bs and you probably did nothing worth reporting.
  18. I have zero black marks. Know why? Cause I didn't break any rules, that's why. :
  19. lol may be used too much, but n00b is used improperly way more(no caps!)
  20. For a mid level smither, making mith plates is pretty fast (I hope it is anyway, I'm spending all this time trying to get 68). Buy coal en masse, mine your own mith and high alch the plates. Is that fast? Merchanting coal is nice since the price range is wide. Merchanting rares is hard in f2p, because few f2pers have that money, and you'll be regularly assaulted with new ppl offering low.(it happened to me just trying to sell colored gloves!)
  21. Quite simply, a staff prank or event has been initiated. Tripsis was not informed and has made a drastic mistake. With the inability to delete his post, Alduron made his best effort to cover it up, but the truth shall be revealed! :ohnoes: Nice movie by the way.
  22. Punk, you defeated your own logic. The only reason NOT to become a member would be to lose the respect of snob f2pers. Yet you say he should not give in to peer pressure. My advice: Get the membership, do some quests, train your stats, have fun and maybe train agility(worth it if you ask me)
  23. Suggesting this is against the rules.
  24. It is my opinion that topics like these make topics like "more bank space for f2p" look bad. These things are typically born and dead in a week. I anti-support more quests for f2p. Please, change the topic title to 29+ supporters.
