  1. Both http://forum.tip.it/ and http://www.tip.it/forum work fine.
  2. MageUK commented on tripsis's blog entry in tripsis' Art Blog
Maybe you should switch to Windows, I've never been "logged out". :P
  3. Chances are if the virus was noticed by your scanner than it dealt with it, either by fixing the problem or by quarantining the file. You should be fine.
  4. Ohh that's a good one. English and Australian accents are hawt <3: Very much so! The best accent I've ever heard would have to be Pure_MageUK's. Its <3<3<3 <3: Stalker. :P FROM WHERE WHAT HUH?! Who, what where? What did I do now?

Did you get that from my post elsewhere when I was complaining about it  . That was really my only complaint about the forums. I'd actually use the Lo.Fi. style if it had the dropdown choice to get to other forums, and also a "view new posts" button. So if you had something like that in mind, or are able to change that, it would be awesome. It might ruin the point of that particular skin though. Bear in mind the Lo-fi Skin is made for phones and is supposed to be completely usable with no JavaScript whatsoever. If you visit the forum on most phones, it will automatically assign you the Lo-fi Skin to ensure compatibility (and less bandwidth used).
  8. It's in the announcement:
  9. They already had Invision Power Board but an older version. We were in the process of converting already when they did their upgrade. so they tried to beat us? I honestly have no idea, the timing could have been purely coincidental.

  11. It was 60 seconds on the old forum - I can put it back to what it was if you want, or you can keep the reduction to 45 seconds. Your choice.
  12. Member inbox limit should be increased to 400. Alright, thanks! Any way that we could still send messages to someone when their inbox is full? We had the feature on the old forums, and I think it would be useful to have again because some people are pack-rats, even with 400 messages. That wasn't enabled on the old forums - if it was enabled, what would be the point of the inbox limit? No one would ever reach it because everyone could send PMs to everyone else regardless of the receiver's inbox status. No one would have to delete any messages.

  14. My suggestion is to click "View My Posts" in the top right which I added like 2 hours ago.
  15. Yeah I just installed CleanCut today, I'm getting quite attached to it actually. It's one of IPS's officially supported skins.

vBulletin is the recommendation of most admins because it was the best board and so admins have been blindly recommending it ever since. In terms of features - IPB has more. In terms of speed - IPB matches vBulletin. In terms of looks - IPB beats the hell out of vB. If you actually do a comparison of the two boards (and yes I have used both), IPB beats vB hands down, have you seen their next major version upgrade as well? It's pretty bad...
  17. Added a new skin called CleanCut. It's officially supported by IPS. It's still a light skin but it's not as "bright" as the default IP.Board skin.
  18. Yes, I'm curious too. How much did it cost? I'm loving the new forums. I'm still using the default IPB skin. I'm just waiting on you guys to release better skins. I'd just like to thank all the people who worked on the transition to IPB3. I'd also like to thank the people who kept us updated on the conversion. All I can say is well done to all (and yes, it does include normal forum users for patiently waiting.) and I hope we enjoy the new forums! Well based on the prices shown on ips Board licence is $149.99 Blog licence is $49.99 Gallery licence is $64.99 Conversion is $60.00 Deflection skin is $30.00 So at least $354.95. We bought the Community License which is $250 for the Board, Gallery and Blog.
  19. We found with our staff tests that initially the forums were a bit intimidating, but after a few days using them (this was on demo boards before we even announced we were converting) it really grew on them.
  20. The improvement of FF3 over IE5.5 is just not describable in words. :P
  21. Do you have JavaScript enabled? That sounds like what would happen if you didn't. And what browser are you using? Ya JavaScript is enabaled. Right no I'm on my brothers old computer because he's on the main one doing some videos for his work so this has..um..*checks* I.E 5.5 rofl. Maybe it's just the old browser, but I've used Zybez smoothly on this computer before. I'm not sure, however it's really an inconviences for me because I'll be using this computer the majority of the month while my brother is at home. Help <3: That would be why, try browsing Zybez now and you'll probably have much the same issues now they've updated to IPB3. Minimum browser it supports is IE6, there's no reason for you to be running IE 5.5 anyway, upgrade to 7 for your own sake, or if that's not available at least grab FF2. :) The only thing I can suggest if you have no choice but IE5.5 is the Lo-fi skin. It's not my computer so I really don't have much of a choice on what version of IE to use. What's FF2 if you could please explain. I can currently run Zybez without any problems once so ever meaning I can post pictures just fine and click things like bold and change my fonts. So I'm not sure why Tip.it is acting this way. Is there anyway I can run Tip.it normally with this computer because I do quite enjoy these forums. I would atleast like to know how to post a picture without getting it to resize then fail to be clickable (or does it only show resized for me?). Not to mention hide tags would be a plus. If there isn't anything I guess I'll sit the rest of this month out until my brother leaves and I get back to my regular computer. What Operating System are you running on that? By FF2 I meant Firefox 2, but depending on the OS you might be able to grab a higher version. IE5.5 is terrible!

Nah you don't. Look on their post where their name is. See the little icon right next to their name (), click it. If they have an updated status, it will show there.
  23. The pictures not loading wouldn't be an issue with us, but with imageshack, however it not allowing you to post any more is due to us. Do you know how many images your blog post has (roughly)?
  24. There's a hardcoded limit to avoid getting stuck in an infinite loop in the code. There is a fix for this, will try and get it implemented. Fixed, your blog looks fine now. Do you have JavaScript enabled? That sounds like what would happen if you didn't. And what browser are you using? Ya JavaScript is enabaled.
