  1. The bottom one should work. You need to copy the code into a new PHP document. Direct the form action to that document and make sure your field names match the GET names in the script. You also need to make sure your web host allows the use of mail().
  2. Happens to the best of us mate. Yeah, I'd agree with the new drivers idea.
  3. This post what useful than. Anyways do you have any other kind of monitor you can test this on? It may be a monitor problem if updated drivers won't work.
  4. If you're going to use that script make SURE you set the e-mail variable manually like it says.
  5. Only some printers have the ability to print double sided straight out of the box. Some need a modification to do it, and some just can't do it. As it's been said, put a mark on a sheet of paper and work out which way it comes out when you print it from where it goes in and just put the sheets back in and print on the back.
  6. Yeah you need to describe what your actual issue is so we can help. So far all you did was say you're having problems and that you want to replace your hard drive.
  7. It's probably best to keep that one set to IDE. I'd do what the guy above said and RMA the hard drive.
  8. We can rule out your monitor since you said you replaced it. Perhaps the graphics are actually overheating, could be causing the cut outs. Is the temperature in the room particularly warm? Or very dusty?
  9. Just a quick "non-hijack" post again. Looks like you have a faulty (or missing) temperature sensor (the AUX is a known dodgy one on Speedfan) and the -48s. I have a Q6600 as well and you should be able to edit the gauges on speed fan to give you the temperature of each core as well as the overall CPU temp. You need to offset it by 15 though. To be honest, for raw CPU data you should be using CPU-Z for voltages etc. and CoreTemp 0.95.4 for temperatures of the individual cores as it has the correct TJunction max. And for a good idea of temperatures, the TJunction Max on a Q6600 is 100 celcius. You can probably run it at around 55-60 without many issues at all, but of course cooler is better. 30-40 is best. A quick run down (here's my screenshot for reference) : System = Ambient Case Temp CPU = Overall CPU Temp HD0 = Hard Drive Core 0 = Self explanatory, and already edited to add 15C to it Core 1,2,3 = Same Core = Graphics Core Ambient = Graphics Ambient Back to the original topic, it sounds exactly like a failing power supply (not uncommon with shop bought PCs) or dodgy RAM. The best way to check RAM is to take out the sticks individually and see if you still get the crashes, but if you're still under warranty then opening the case will probably void it.
  10. Well a large part of internet security is being smart, and no OS or program is going to help you with that. I'm aware of that but that wasn't the point I was making. Sorry if i seem abrupt, I need more sleep. It is safe to say that if it is recommended by someone here and not immediately deleted it's safe. @SERG_Troy - I'm staff here at TIF, and I actually run the "Keylogger Help" subforum of "Tech and Computers", so yeah, it's a safe link.
  11. Or he can just get the standard Firewall/Anti virus and Spyware protection and be just fine. Just make sure that if you suspect a keylogger to scan with the anti virus and spyware software and it should find it. 99% of the time if you keep them updated it'll find it the moment it hits the system. There is no need to go back to XP and waste money. He won't always be "just fine", there's plenty of mainstream undetected keyloggers still out there. And we wonder why people are still being "hacked" when they're running their Antivirus/Firewall apps.... Yeah, but then dx10 goes bye-bye Which is the sole reason I'm running vista on my gaming rig. I'd agree with you only on the DX10 games, I'd be running it too on my gaming rig except that there are no games out at the moment that provide any massive improvement from DX9 using DX10, most are just slightly modded DX9 games. Certainly not enough pull for me to want to get the performance drain that is Vista, accompanied by SP1 in 2008 which actually makes it even slower.
  12. Not one I'd trust to actually do its job. You should upgrade to XP. ;)
  13. Nice idea - shame I'm not even on the list though.
  14. Quite a lot of keyloggers can circumvent your firewall completely and it won't even realise something is sending data. Get SnoopFree from http://www.snoopfree.com/ for some good protection.
  15. If you still have the original keylogger then send me a PM here and let me know. I'll let you know how to remove it once I see it. Cheers.
  16. Yeah, Cruiser is right. I suggest you look up the meaning of what caching is and what its function is.

Come on, start him off on a good foot. Table's should be used for that, tabular data, go with a div. You didn't see his original site (he removed the link), the entire thing was already table based, so him switching around how the top and bottom were coded would have been much easier by just changing some table elements. DIVs are the best for data, I agree, but for that design, it was far easier to use a table based method.
  18. Logged in with an administrator account? Also try the Unsigned Applet version of the game.

I'm not saying you should change the grey background around your site by the way, I quite like the fact it doesn't hit the edge of the browser. Just that you should split your site into table format and allow the white content area to be expandable vertically with a hex colour background and with a fixed percentage width.
  20. Depends on where you're based as to who would be a good host for you. If you want something that's very quick for yourself to access, then look at a host based near you (same country is fine). I live in the UK, so my personal choice would be http://www.evohosting.co.uk - but depending on where you live I'm sure someone else here will be able to give a recommendation of a hosting company that will be good for you.
  21. I'd recommend coding this project in something that will make it easy for you to access the Intenet. For a beginner a good way is probably VB.NET as it has tools in the newer versions (and it's free from MS) to access web-based content.
  22. MageUK replied to Brad25891's topic in Tech and Computers
What you should have done really is split the top and bottom of the site using a table and allowed your content to be on a white (#FFFFFF, not an image) background. This would have not only solved the problem with highlighting but also allowed your site to be infinitely expandable vertically for more content. Also, you should register your domains before letting anyone else know what they are.
  23. Currently building my own rig with a decent bit of power for around your $1300 mark. Specs : Asus P5k Socket 775 Mobo Intel Q6600 (Quad @ 2.4GHz) 4GB Patriot DDR800 Memory Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 PRO OCZ 700W GameXStream PSU Thermaltake Tsunami Case BFG 8800GT 512MB OC'ed GFX 500GB Samsung SATA2 Disk 19'' Hyundai ImageQuest B90D TFT 8ms I'm bringing the DVD, sound card, spare hard drive, mouse, and monitor (going dual screen) from my current build, so if you wanted to buy these items as well you may have to drop the specs a little or perhaps expand your budget a little. This was a UK build so you may be able to find the parts a little cheaper in the US. For the money this is, in my opinion, quite a powerful rig (or I wouldn't have bought it), and the Q6600 is extremely overclockable as well. My build is designed to be not too far off your own aims. I am increasing productivity for college but I'm also looking to game a lot on this as well. (Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Source, a few others). My needs are pretty similar but naturally there's so many computer parts these days all of these are interchangeable to produce a similar spec'ced machine. As for the OS, I'm sticking with XP for now. No games out currently support DX10 alone and they won't do until the majority of XP users have converted to Vista. Probably won't happen too soon. Also, recent tests show that XP performs twice as fast as Vista, Vista SP1 causes Vista to perform slower, whereas XP SP3 actually provides a speed increase. And personally, I use F-Secure Internet Security, but that's just a personal preference, best way is to experiment with some trials and see what suits you. Good luck with your build!
  24. Domain registration and hosting are two different things, do not confuse them. It looks like you're looking both a host and domain registrar.
  25. Could also probably do it the other way around : if ($_GET['page']) { include($_GET['page']); } else { include('main.php'); } Or : if (is_null($_GET['page'])) { include('main.php'); } else { include($_GET['page']); }
