Into the Life of a Chinese Gold Farmer
NickCini replied to Hydraweapon's topic in General Discussion
I agree with the above, I worry that most of the RS community believes these people are working in similar conditions to the people who work in clothes sweatshops and things. I think it's far more likely that while the conditions are not outstanding, they are not that bad. -
I disagree, IMO it's quite a good post. He is correct about the stereotypical RS player being (in my experience) either a nerd or quite gothy. I suppose you could say that i'm smart but not nerdy. I strongly dislike school infact.

If You Found 250 Million Coins. What Would You Buy? 20k views
NickCini replied to a topic in Questionnaires
If I found 250M on the floor. Give my friends 75M of it. 99 smithing. 99 mage from high alchs. Spend the rest on Santas and wait for christmas. -
You could have just told them "it's veracs you get it from a members mini-game or by trade" I'm not saying that they would then stop asking questions. On the contrary, it is likely to make more. But im sure you can type while your character walks/cuts a tree or whatever it's doing. And it's little acts of kindness such as answering somebodys questions that would improve everything drastically.

Are we going to change our worlds to fit jagex's?
NickCini replied to aspokaspofkjsopfkapo's topic in General Discussion
That's totally wrong. I can still play castlewars in a world other than the one jagex has designated, what they have done is help us. Cw's in the world they chose (131 I think, my memory is on his tea-break) now has better games than most other worlds used to. I wouldn't have minded 99 being left alone though. However Law runners do use it and have done for a while so i don't mind. -
But I think the company should care about us customers, I think people that play for more than 5 hours a day can catch diseases and it's bad for Jagex if their customers get diseases. Seriusly. # Yes, just the other day my doctor was telling me about that disease "playedforfivehoursitus" and of course the inamous "toomuchrs plague" [/sarcasm] I don't think they should. But i would support something similar to help prevent macroers. There was a thread on it in suggestions i think so i won't go into details

Does Jagex make Animal abuse look positive?
NickCini replied to WookieeMania12's topic in General Discussion
I disagree slightly, i am aware that this is a bit different but. If thousands of people camped outside the British houses of Parliament, complaining about Gordon Browns choice of tie colour during question time. Should he change it? Secondly, there is of course no way of being certain, but I wonder how many people who preach about kindness to animals practise what they preach in real life. How many jump on the bandwagon? How many are young people who are influenced by what others have said about the subject? I know it conflicts with my post but. I think this should be left to die in peace. Or at least shooed away :XD: -
Lol'ed IRl. I don't think we need to start asing J-Mods what's coming next. We get that on the first of everymonth nice and regular.

You make me ashamed to be p2p with you. I spent my first two years and a bit in rs (starting sep 2001) as f2p. The fact that f2p didn't get skill capes is ludicrous. They are afterall capes designed to recognise achievement, not achievement and a monthly fee In short, it's rather disgusting and f2p'ers totally deserve capes as much as anybody else. The fact that I pay ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 a month doesn't make me any better than a f2p'er. Most p2p'ers see themselves as above f2p'ers because they (or often their parents) pay that small fee. All that does is mean we gain access to more features. We all all equal as players.

25th year in a row pass results have gone up. Head of BBC: "No way could young people be smarter than we were at that age! No! I don't accept it. I can see the universe unravelling now! No! It isn't true! I don't accept it. Obviously, the tests are getting easier. " Student: "Would you like to take a test" Head of BBC: "Erm. I'm a very busy man. Erm. Ahem. Erm. Sorry no. I don't think it would be appropriate" I forget when, but it was an interview from about this time a few years back. A student and the Head of BBC were on newsnight together. One of the best interviews i have ever seen. The student crucified the Head of the Beeb. Congratulations to everyone who got there results and are happy with them.

Why would something have to move in order to exist? Some scientific laws. All my notes on this are 4000 miles away, so I can't look it up to give you solid proof, but overall all matter is in constant, random motion. As the matter cools the movement slows down, but never stops. There's some theories floating around out there that if matter were to stop moving it would cease to exist. The matter I'm talking about is, of course, atoms and the like so you don't have to worry about your non-moving table to disappear as all its atoms are in constant, random motion. :XD: With reference to the question in the first post, most people who can even vaguely comprehend this sort of thing do find it interesting. I think it's interesting, obviously most people on this thread do. Unfortunately we are the minority. The majority would call us Geeky. So no you're not alone in liking this. But yes. We are geeks. Geek power!

Arrest of 13-Year-Old for Writing on Desk Should Be Wake-up
NickCini replied to jokemaster's topic in Off-Topic
Back to the therapist for me then :XD: With reference to the italics: The only concievable way i think this could happen and not be crazy is that the girl is a persistant offender of a more serious kind in school. THe policeman was in the school, probably on other business. The girl recieves an instruction from the teacher and ignores her, they sort of argue, it culminates the in the girl writing okay on the desk and being sent outside the class maybe. At this point the police officer walks past, and says "why are you out here" etc etc. The girl gives him some attitude, and he is going to the station so he says (with only a slight note of seriousness) something like "apologise to your teacher or i'll arrest you for destruction of property". Now we have all been/are/will be 13. So we pretty much all know how stubborn a 13 year old in that situation would be. I think he arrested and processed the girl, to scare her a bit maybe. To shake her up a bit. Just my two-pence. -
I honestly read most of that. Occasionally skipping over part. I lost a lot of respect when you encouraged people to "go to wikipedia and learn about it". I'm not saying that most wikipedia articles are un-accurate. But they are. It has become an unreliable source of information. Then the links to propaganda, and conspiracy theories. Sorry, but the American government, or any other government didn't cause the atrocities of 9/11 or 7th July in Britain. Or the madrid train bombings. Or the countless other bombings worldwide. The notion that they did is fairly ludicrous. Why would they? I don't accept any of the arguments you put forth in your first post for them to do this.

This is what I think. I don't think that a human is human until it has conscienciousness, that is to say when it is a sentient being. I think that that status is achieved somewhere during the time the "baby" spends developing in the womb. I am not sure where/when though. With that said, I am pro-choice.

:shame: Go back and read "The Philosophers Stone", as a stand alone book. It's not that good. The series is amazing and you can see how Rowling improved as an author. I'm not aware of many authors who's later work doesn't surpass there debut novels. Rowling was quite lucky to get her break, a lot of publishers turned her down before she got it. Also, undeniably, part of getting "breaks" is luck. Although talent is of course also required. Rowling is a good childrens author, at the moment, I see no evidence that makes me think you could compare her to adult novelists such as Stephen King, Tolkien or any others. Back on topic. I have too many. James Clavells author of "Shogun" which is just an amazing book. Stephen King is great. I suppose Clavells though as Shogun is my favourite book.

Who can you make with new player kits?
NickCini replied to Slayer_Jesse's topic in General Discussion
Its not a single person, there a group of people, a society class in Britain. They are usually very dirty, don't wash, carry knives, act very tough when in fact they arent, all round very unpleasant people. Society: Assigning prejudice based on the clothes you wear since 4000 BC I'm sigging that. -
No sorry that's me. :) he is manipulating.

Last time there was pride in having high melee skills during rsc and first months of rs2. Its easy to say feel proud of being a high level for this gone era of rsc but nowaday you say that to someone you'll probably get flamed for lying :? I must agree there is alot of noob around, but even without pc you'll still get arrogant and stubborn high levels who seem to think there something speical. i myself speak to anyone on runescape aslong as they approach me in a sensible manner. if someone comes up to me talking like a [developmentally delayed] bannana ill just ignore them :-# LOL ontopic: meh. i don't like PC. Very boring and monotonous and makes everything to easy.
