  1. I'm not entirely sure why you need that much food. Your summoning is high enough for bunyip, so that should take care of most of it. If you really need the extra healing, your stats aren't that far off from finishing the seer's hard diary for the EE. Also, as others have said, upgrading your food type would help too. Just because you already have the monks doesn't mean you're obligated to use them. ~14 rocktail = 16 sharks = 20 monks in terms of healing. So it is probably worth just selling your leftover monks and making the upgrade.
  2. Thanks for all the answers, guys. This will help a lot! ;D
  3. I'm currently working towards my chaotic rapier, and after I get that I plan to finish maxing my melee stats with slayer. Previously I didn't do much efficient slaying since I thought the cost of prayer potions was too high to be worth it, but they've gone down significantly so this seems like a good time to try it out and see what I think. So, I have a big list of questions for you guys... any help is greatly appreciated! 1. Once I get the rapier, is my whip good for anything at all? I'll probably keep it for aesthetic purposes anyways, but I'm wondering if it will serve any practical use anymore. 2. What other melee weapons, if any, should I have? I doubt I'll be going for any more chaotics any time soon. 3. Using piety, about how many prayer potions should I bring per task? I'm sure I'll have to tweak it a little to get it just right, but I have never really used piety for anything before so I'm kind of clueless here. 4. I don't particularly understand how to use a cannon. I tried to use one once and it seemed like it was way more trouble than it was worth. Is it really that great for slayer? Should I get one? How many cannonballs do I bring with? If anyone could explain it a little I'd appreciate it, I really have no idea how to use it properly. 5. On tasks like abyssals/nechs that drop infernal ashes, is it worth banking them? I was planning on just using urns or scattering them so I don't have to spend all that time running back and forth, but if the profit is significant I'll do it. 6. I've always had black demons blocked, but I hear they are actually a pretty good task to do. Should I unblock them? If I do, where do I kill them, and what method do you recommend I use? 7. As far as familiars go, what should I be using? Right now I basically just bring a bunyip everywhere, except for tasks where a BoB is needed. I haven't really used combat familiars outside of dungeoneering, are they worth using for slayer when possible? I don't have soul split though, so I assume I should just stick with healing familiars. 8. Any speculation on the prices of prayer potions? Will they continue to drop, or bounce back up a little? Since I still have to get my rapier before I start slaying, I was considering buying a big stockpile of prayer pots now while the price is so low. Not sure if that would be a good idea or not? And finally, here is my gear setup. Is there anything I should change or save up for? Currently saving for soul split, followed by turmoil and overloads. I do not wish to sell any of my armor to pay for pray/herb levels, so please do not suggest that. Head: FSH Neck: Fury Cape: Soul wars Top: BCP Bottom: Tassets Gloves: Barrows Boots: Dragon Ring: Zerker/Ferocious Weapon: Rapier/EEE Shield: Dragon defender
  4. With your levels it probably isn't worth it at all. I believe you need soul split to efficiently slay them. I still enjoy doing them anyways, I think they're kind of fun actually. Your levels are similar to mine so you could probably do them, just pray mage to reduce time being frozen and bring lots of food with a familiar. I can easily last a trip, filling up my inventory and BoB with bones. Around 30ish kills per trip, depending on how many other drops you get. Again though, this isn't going to be totally efficient, so if that's what you're interested in, you're better off skipping/blocking them until you can soul split. I believe familiarization is recommended too for the triple charms, since they do drop quite a lot of crims (and a good number of blues, too!).

    Prayer

Well, frost dragons have been suggested in probably 8 in 10 of the threads in this forum since they came out. So, yes, I would say they are highly recommended ;] If dung is really killing you right now though, you could do something like slayer, keeping all your dragon bones/infernal ashes, and using the profit to buy more bones. Alternately you can kill green/blue dragons. Cannoning in the blue dragon resource dungeon is good for this, or so I've heard.
  6. what exactly is a "mounted glory"? In your quest hall (a room you can build at level 35) you can mount an amulet of glory on the wall. This gives it unlimited teleports, which combined with the 'teleport to house' tablets (or spell) can be very useful. Add that on to a couple of portal rooms (level 50 construction), and you can make your house into a sort of teleport hub.
  7. Thanks, swedishboy! ;D I've just returned from vacation, although it wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped. Turned out being kind of a mess of trying to do too many things in too little time. Oh well. It is also my birthday tomorrow (!) so I will finally be 19... which isn't all that great, since I'd rather be 21, but I'm happy about it either way. I did get a couple of amazing birthday presents though- a Kindle which I have been using all week (anyone else reading The Hunger Games series?) and a pair of very expensive Prada sunglasses, and I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to give me money for a new tattoo as his gift to me. Otherwise I might just go ahead and do it myself. I've really been itching to get some new art done. In runescape-related news, I really don't have much to say since I haven't even signed on yet xD But I expect to get a dung level or two before my boyfriend gets off work. Possibly a farming level too, only 11k away.
  8. Aww, thank you :D I'm glad you enjoyed it~ I finished my exams yesterday, meaning I am officially done with classes until fall! Feels weird to be living back home again. I did a couple dungeons this morning, no level ups but I am close to one. Next week I won't be around here, as I'm going to be on vacation in florida~! Can't wait.
  9. Just leveled up to 63 dging. I'm starting to really get better at making consistent floor times. Could probably be just a little faster, but I think I'm alright for now. Also got 93 strength tonight! Almost all of the exp between 92 and 93 was from dungeons, which is pretty cool. I think I'll probably level up once more before I get my rapier.
  10. Loar shades in Mort'ton should do fine, they're level 40.
  11. Thanks norriie....yes trying to do that but often have problems with crashes in this area of the game...but even so have noticed that completing a dungeon generates xp but no tokens...think i have something set up wrong on the ring or somewhere else If you leave a dungeon without completing it, you will get partial exp but no tokens. Are you getting the interface screen at the end of the dungeon when you complete it? Perhaps you're leaving the dungeon wrong. Should look something like this:
  12. Are you actually training the skill by going through dungeons? If you're getting your exp any other way (tears of guthix, penguin points, exp lamps, discovering resource dungeons, etc), you do not get any tokens.
  13. I believe he means Arcane Spirit Shield. Not totally sure about any of other your questions but according to the tip.it bestiary, the magic-weak monsters kuradal assigns are: Black/greater/abyssal demons Ice strykewyrms Iron/steel/mith dragons
  14. Not necessarily, I have a dungeon too but they don't connect. The oubliette & dungeon stairs lead to the dungeon part, and the skill/quest hall stairs lead to the house part. As a side note though, I'd like to point out that it's actually quite easy to have a house that's both aesthetically pleasing and efficient. You might not think that you need efficiency right now, but it might be extremely useful later on and you'll wish that you had. I did the same thing as you originally, and ended up wanting a whole new, more efficient house later and had to spend a ton of money tearing the whole thing down and building from scratch again.
  15. If you're concerned about building things above certain rooms, why not just build it as a basement instead of a top floor? I was having the same issues and so that's what I did.
  16. I think it's just more encouragement to level your skills all up to a certain level. I don't really think the capes look very good, but maybe that's just me. Either way, it's a nice new accomplishment for people to work towards and get a shiny new item in return.

    Questions

Alright guys, I think that's enough... To answer your questions: 1. According to RS wiki, a decorated fishing urn will be full after gaining 9500 exp. 2. Not sure if you mean with superheat or not? Either way, you should find the answers you're looking for on Grimy's smithing efficiency spreadsheet. 3. I don't know about this one 4. About 100 rounds to fill it completely 5. Probably none, if he's made of wood he wouldn't be able to chuck wood very well.
  18. ^This. However, I would take some time and opt for a Dragon Defender. There's nothing really better then it and you usually won't need the few defense points difference from the Dragon Square Shield (if you do - just bring more food or use better food) Also, don't get a fighter's torso like Gold Tatze said - it simply takes too long for it to be of any value Like Helm said, get a black mask - some guthans armor for the body/legs (verac works nicely), dragon boots, a berserker ring, and the best RFD gloves but if you can't get dragon/barrow - go get a regen bracelet instead. I already have torso banked, and i think i have a rune defender banked already as well. how long do you think it would take me to get dragon? day ? It's way too easy to get a dragon defender. It'll take you maybe 2 hours at most.
  19. I got 80 range just a bit ago, pretty happy about that. It's nice to see that level finally past the 70's. I remember when I first got 70 range... took me two weeks training it from 55 at the caged ogres near ardy. I was so excited to wear that black d'hide for the first time xD Hah, enough reminiscing. I'm bored, so I think I'm going to get off for the day... time for real-life ;D
  20. Finally got 60 dung :D I didn't have a whole lot of time to work on it today other than that though. I'm not leveling up too fast but I don't really mind, I'm not spending much time on it really. I actually did 3 herb runs today, which is rare, since I usually get way too absorbed in what I'm doing to stop and do farming. But I was a little unfocused today, so whatever. I decided to train range for the first time in 3 or 4 years and work on getting it to 80, so I can use the next tier of bows in dung. I'm chinning nechryael in the chaos tunnels right now, which is actually kind of fun. I might end up chinning monkey skeletons or whatever those things are and get 99 one of these days. But right now I just got to 79, and I think that's enough for tonight. German exam tomorrow x_x I think after I wrap this up, I'm going to buy some tree seeds and actually work on my farming a bit. When I finish dung & max melees I think my next project will be getting all my skills 80+. I have 10 skills under 80 right now- Farming, which I should be way over 80 if I can keep up my tree/herb runs, Range, which will be 80 by tomorrow, Dung, also working on 80+ right now, Agility, which I haven't worked on in ages. I think I'll do ape atoll w/penance horn, Mining, by the time I work on this, the new mid-range mining update will be out, Smithing, probably superheating gold, so I can get some decent mage exp, Thieving, will only take a couple hours since the exp is so fast, Crafting, which I have absolutely no idea how to train these days, Firemaking, I don't know how I want to train this really either, I might chop & burn teaks, and Runecrafting, which I am really, really, dreading. I think this wins the award for worst skill ever. Maybe by the time I finally get to this, my peng points will have gotten me a few levels. Wow, that's actually kind of a lot when I look at it all written out like that. Whatever, it shouldn't be too bad. I wonder what I'll work on after that? Probably some serious money-making. I think I'll need it. I'd like to try out TD's or some solo GWD one of these days. Or there's always frosties, too, but I wonder how long those will continue to be as profitable as they are right now?
  21. Isn't that only about 40/50k exp per hour? I don't really want to spend 5+ hours doing this if I can get it done with chins in 1 or 2.
  22. I'm looking to get my (pathetically low) ranged level of 78 up a little bit. In particular, I'd like to get it to 80 for dungeoneering purposes. I don't use range often, but when I do, I'd like to be able to use the next tier bow. I'm only about 270k exp away from 80, so it won't take long, but I want to get it over with as quick as I can. Am I too low of a level to effectively use chins? Should I be doing something else? If do use chins, what would be a good location for me to train at?
  23. Where should a level 99 train for a few cmb levels? Mostly atk training. Something semi fast but not completely boring. >Slayer is always a good option, it's good variety so it doesn't get too dull, and can lead to some nice drops later on. It's not the fastest exp, but if you ever intend to want slayer levels for any reason in the future, you'll be glad you did it. Also, what is some decent armour? >I'm assuming the username in your sig is you, so I'm using the stats on highscores. At your level, barrows armor will do you well, I believe the top/bottom from torag's and dharok's sets are basically interchangeable in terms of stats (though you may opt for a verac plateskirt, but not brassard, if you want a little extra prayer boost). Either way, just check prices and see what's affordable for you. You might want to save up for a set of bandos, as the strength bonus is nice for higher levels. For a helm, definitely get a black mask if you're doing slayer (also, do Smoking Kills quest- slayer is a thousand times better with it completed!). If you have not yet done Recipe for Disaster, do as many of the sidequests as you can. The gloves you get from there are among the best in the game. Add onto that a pair of dragon boots, amulet of glory (working your way up to a fury as you get more cash), and a dragon defender (you get this pretty much the same way you got a rune defender in the past). Are whips still good? >Yes, whips are still a great weapon. The top melee training weapon now though is the chaotic rapier, which you can get after training your dungeoneering skill up to 80. It's a lot better than the whip, plus it has a strength training option. Give dungeoneering a try and if you like it, work on getting a rapier as soon as you can. As a side note, I see that your summoning is not ranked on highscores. You'll want to get that up as soon as possible, it's invaluable for combat training and extremely useful in most aspects of the game. Particularly when you get healing familiars, like the bunyip, combat will never be the same. Good luck getting used to everything again! If you have questions or just want someone to chat with, feel free to add me, username is Norriie :]
  24. Lol, thanks, but I knew that already ;] I just thought it was pretty.
  25. I'm only about 6k from 59 right now, but it's time for me to go to bed. Hope I get my SSH soon. Haven't seen any spiders yet, but I wasn't really expecting to find any this soon anyways. I got a primal maul drop today, it's a shame they aren't very useful. Ah well, I couldn't wield it anyways, I'm not 99 strength (yet!).
