  1. Haven't done a scabarite task in a while, but I used to go to the ones east of the agility pyramid with guthans. They hit hard, and they're multi-combat, so I'd leave guthans on until they went unagressive, then continue to kill them like normal. That's the only method I know of, and it's pre-summoning, so there may be a better way. But if you already have guthans, go for it. Always worked for me.
  2. Okay, so I changed my mind.. new default clothes! <333
  3. Thank you :] Yes I do have 11 piercings, although most are on my ears. 3 on each earlobe, and also my left tragus. Then I have my nose, lip, belly button, and tongue. I haven't gotten any recently, I'm more into tattoos now ;] In other news... NEW CLOTHES UPDATE!! :twss: As I mentioned before, clothes are probably my favorite part of runescape. I love when they update the default shops~ My new default outfit:
  4. For some reason I could not find this blog, I almost panicked. Weird. College is good so far, nothing really eventful except a lot of parties and things like that, but when you're at one of the top 10 party schools in the nation, you kind of expect it. It's a lot of fun, anyways. So with double exp weekend coming up, I (like many, many others) have decided to use it for herblore. Now, if I can buy all the herbs I need it will be a miracle, but I'm going to try regardless. I will only need to make somewhere around 7k super energies to get to 85, and I'll be putting the herbs in vials beforehand, so I should be able to do around 2k pots per hour. I'm also doing pengs beforehand. I just finished this week's pengs and got 78, and they'll reset tonight so I'll be able to do it again tomorrow for another little boost of exp. And then again the wednesday before double exp. So that'll save me a little bit of cash. Hopefully at some point I'll actually be able to buy my herbs and seconds on the GE. Haven't had too much luck so far (only about 85 avantoes out of 7200..), but I haven't even had my offers in for 24 hours yet so I should get it all eventually. Until then, I'll be slaying to try and make up for the ridiculously large amount of money I'm spending on this.
  5. I think pretty soon I am going to sell my bandos and buy supplies for 85 herby. I'll be able to stew to extremes pretty easily, since a +3 or +4 is way easier to get than a +5, and the super antifires are going to be worth it too. Before I do that, though, I'd like to farm the rest of the seeds in my bank, check my kingdom, and use up all the herbs from that. Then I'll do my pengs, use it on herb, and also get all my effigies used up and put the dragonkin lamps on herb also. Once I'm finally done with all that, I'll take a quick break from slayer to sell my bandos, buy my supplies, and make a ton of potions. I'm estimating that this will cost me somewhere around 35-40m, including the cost of making a couple hundred each of extreme attack, extreme strength, and super antifire. It'll also drive me completely crazy since I hate training herblore, but that's beside the point.
  6. Got 95 hitpoints & a whip drop today. Not bad. If I can keep up the good luck I've been having lately, I should get the 40m I need for herblore in no time. Anyways though, in other news, I moved into my dorm yesterday. I'm alone at the moment since my roommate hasn't arrived yet. It's kind of nice, but also pretty boring. And I'd like to meet some people, so I'll be going out this afternoon to wander around town. Sigh.
  7. Melee armour: The best inexpensive armour is going to be barrows. The whole sets together aren't that great for everyday combat, but if you mix & match tops & bottoms you should come up with something you like. The best combination is a verac's skirt (2m) and either a torag or dharok top (both have the same stats, so it's your choice depending on which you prefer in terms of looks and cost). Consider upgrading to a set of bandos armour when you can afford it (about 23m for the top, 27m for the bottom). For a helmet, you'll want to get a helm of neitiznot (from the fremmenik trials quest), and a black mask (eventually upgrade to a slayer helm) for when you're doing slayer. Cape isn't too important at your level, a legends cape or obsidian cape is fine. For a shield, go to the warriors guild and get a rune defender, it should only take a couple hours. The best gloves in the game come from the recipe for disaster quest line, so just do as much of that as you can and use the highest gloves you can get. Dragon boots are pretty cheap (about 500k), so get a pair of those. Rings and amulets tend to be small upgrades that cost a lot, so don't worry yet if you can't afford the best. Start with an ammy of glory (75k), and upgrade to a fury (14-15m) when you can. A warrior's ring is okay (400k), but a berserker is even better (4m). The whip continues to be one of the best all-around choices for a weapon (about 4m, I think), but when you want to train strength, consider buying a saradomin sword (around 10m?). Range armour: Black dragonhide will always be a good, cheap staple to have. As usual though, barrows is a good upgrade. A karil's top (about 5.5m) and bottom (about 600k) are worth buying if you can. Also, a pair of snakeskin boots is a cheap but effective option. Eventually you'll want to get a set of armadyl (top: 17m, bottom:17m, helm: 3.5m) and some ranger boots (17m). Rune crossbow is generally regarded as the best ranged weapon to train with, along with broad bolts which are fairly cheap but effective. If you haven't already done animal magnetism quest for Ava's accumulator, you'll want to do it. Magic robes: Mystic is still half-decent if you can't afford better, but definitely look at getting a set of ahrim's robes (around 7m for the set). Battle robes are currently around 15m or so, but they're nice because when you use them, you have a chance of casting a spell without using up some of your runes. The staff of light (5m) also does this. Infinity boots (1m) are always good for mages also. As a side note, I highly recommend training your summoning up higher as soon as you can. It's extremely useful for combat. Beasts of burden, healers, and combat familiars all have their specific uses, and they'll help you a lot if you plan to spend a lot of time on combat.
  8. Just wanted to let you know that they seem to be crashing right now. I managed to sell mine for a little under medium price on the GE, you'll probably want to get rid of yours ASAP.
  9. Thanks ;D Right now I can't afford to get extremes, but when I do get the money I'll definitely go for it. In the mean time I'm slowly getting some free herby exp from herb/seed drops, penguin hunting, and also from my kingdom. It's not much but every little bit of free exp helps!
  10. Thanks darkace :] Today has been pretty good so far. All the low level dragon masks started to crash, so I sold mine. Got 21m for it, which means I can finally afford bandos without selling anything I already have. I got 91 defense on a nechryael task earlier, and a clue scroll which I am about to do right now. Anyways, as I level my slayer and get more money, I'm going to work on upgrading everything I have to top-tier level. Here's what I want: 1. Range stuff- Armadyl, ranger boots 2. Melee stuff- Bandos, dfs, dragon claws, sara zammy or arma GS, zammy spear, chaotic rapier, fury, berserker ring, saradomin sword, barrows gloves 3. Magic stuff- Staff of light, set of battle robes, arcane stream necklace, infinity boots 4. Herblore- Super antifires, extreme sets, overloads 5. Prayer- Piety, soul split, turmoil 6. Summoning- Bunyip, unicorn stallion, pak yak, steel titan, wolpertinger
  11. I'm in the same position right now. If you look at the street prices (which are hard to find out...) the other low level masks are beginning to crash one by one. So the green/blue/red dragon masks will probably crash soon as well. A couple days ago the street price was over 50m, now it's getting hard to get an offer over 30m.. So I'm guessing the crash will be soon. Personally I'm going to watch ge charts and sell within the next couple days. If you have about 5-10m in junk though already you could probably get an offer of around 25-30m and get rid of it now.
  12. Got my first elite clue today from iron dragon, and this was my reward: Dragon square ornamental kit. It looks nice, especially with the attack cape. I hope this streak of luck continues!
  13. That's awesome, thanks so much. That changes everything, I might try and see what I can trade it for. Thanks again ;] @zotto, Absolutely hold onto it. I have a black dragon mask, a dragon staff and a fury kit that I got in a trade for my frost - and all 3 are elite rewards. Since i've only had 3 elite clue scrolls since they came out, and I slay A LOT, the supply on these elite rewards is obviously so limited that these will be rising in the ge for at least 3-6 months. I mean, it took me close to 3 days to find someone WILLING to sell their fury kit, and I was offering the highest end elite mask. I mean, look at crowns. They were far easier to obtain than these new elite TT items are, and they sustained a high street for a good 3 months. But, to the OT, SELL THE MASK WITH YOUR JUNK NOW!!! Since a Blue Dragon Mask is from a level 3 clue, and not an elite, they are a lot easier to farm. The lower end level 3 masks, such as the fox and unicorn ones are already crashing, and it is only a matter of time until the green/blue/red ones follow suit. I'd suggest selling it now, if that helps. Ah, alright. I have no junk, though. My only real option is selling on the GE then I guess. I did an elite clue today, got a dragon square ornament kit (or). What about that? Hold on to it?
  14. Makes sense, that's what I thought. I hadn't seen the info anywhere else so I didn't know if it had been figured out yet ;]
  15. Monster that dropped Clue: Iron Dragon Level of Clue (If 100% known): 4 Clue Hint: Compass Where to solve Clue: Small peninsula north of Ooglog Additional information if needed: Guthix wizard did not spawn [hide=Screenshot][/hide] Clue Hint: Compass Where to solve Clue: Near the coast southwest of Rellekka Additional information if needed: Guthix wizard did not spawn [hide=Screenshot][/hide] Clue Hint: Compass Where to solve Clue: North of middle pillory cage by seer's village Additional information if needed: Guthix wizard spawned [hide=Screenshot][/hide] Clue Hint: This scroll will work in the city of Zanaris. Orb scan range: 16 paces. Where to solve Clue: Along the winding path to the cosmic altar Additional information if needed: Guthix wizard did not spawn [hide=Screenshot][/hide] Clue Hint: Compass Where to solve Clue: Level-33 wilderness, west of the grassy spot where the canoe pond is... No idea how to explain it better than that Additional information if needed: Guthix wizard spawned, got casket after this clue [hide=Screenshot][/hide] Picture of reward screen: Runite Bar x5, Super Restore (4) x9, Onyx Bolt Tips x11, Yew Seed, Dragon Sq Shield Ornament Kit (or) Any information on new items: Ornament kit- Examine: Use on a dragon square shield to make it look fancier. Weight: 0kg This was an extremely long clue... 4 compasses, 2 knot puzzles, 1 sliding puzzle, and 3 scan orbs. It may have been a coincidence, but it seems so far that every time a guthix wizard spawned, the next clue was either an orb or compass. Every time one didn't spawn, the next clue was a knot puzzle or sliding puzzle.
  16. Buy it from a slayer master with points. I believe it's 300 points. It also works for salting rock slugs and other monsters that require a final blow. EDIT: Just checked, it's actually 400 points.
  17. That's awesome, thanks so much. That changes everything, I might try and see what I can trade it for. Thanks again ;]
  18. Thanks for the advice, everyone. I don't really like long term investments (seeing something worth a lot of money just rotting in my bank annoys me, since I could be using that money for something else) so I don't know how long I'll hold on to it for, but I think I'm just going to watch GE graphs and sell it when the price gets high enough for me. I will probably also stop by world 2 just out of curiosity.
  19. I tried to stick to my fishing goal, I really did. But despite the fact that I used to hate training combat, slayer seems to be calling my name again... I got about 6k monks fished, which was halfway to my goal of 85, and I think that's good enough. I'm addicted to the drops and excitement of combat, so I'm going to go ahead and try to max my combat. New goals, in this order: 1. 92 defense 2. 92 strength 3. 95 defense 4. 95 strength 5. 99 hitpoints / 99 defense (if I calculated correc tly, I should get these almost simultaneously) 6. 99 strength While I do this, I'll be saving all dragon bones that I get from those tasks, so I should also level up my prayer significantly. And of course, I'll use all my charms up along the way which should get me to a very high level there as well. Hopefully when I finish I will be 80+ prayer, and atleast 92+ summoning. I also plan to buy more prayer and herblore levels. I started this goal yesterday, and on a black dragon task, I got myself a level 3 clue scroll... :twss: :twss: I think it looks pretty snazzy, but I plan to sell it in a little while. Going to hold on to it until the price goes up some more.
  20. I'm pretty sure leather dragons are weaker to slash than stab, so use a whip. That's what I use, and I kill them fairly quickly.
  21. Same here. I keep looking on the forums trying to find an actual cash value, but all people are doing is offering other treasure trail items, and I can't figure out their value either. The whole street market thing is very confusing to an outsider who hasn't used junk before  I don't know about you but what I'm probably going to end up doing is watching the GE charts and just dumping it on there when it gets to a price that I like. Or I may take a visit to world 2, but I have a feeling it will be even more confusing than the forums.
  22. I just got a blue dragon mask from a clue scroll, and I'm looking for some advice for what to do with it. I'm not a merchant, and I totally avoid anything that involves junk trading. I hate it, and I think it's a waste of time. But if that's my best option then I'll consider it. Should I.. 1. Sell it on GE 2. Try to sell it with junk at street price (anyone know what the street price is, by the way?) 3. Hold on to it for a little while Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  23. EDIT: Nevermind.
  24. Bunyip and EE is plenty of healing. Gargoyles have surprisingly low defense, you'll find yourself killing them very quickly.
  25. Dagganoth kings- profitable and fairly easy compared to other boss monsters.
