92 strength & 131 combat yesterday :] The levels are moving fast. Also, my friend was selling his bandos set and I decided to buy it. I figure the price may go up when the defence update comes around. And, if it doesn't, then oh well. I'm keeping it either way. I'm pretty happy with it so far, I've owned bandos several times before but it's always hard for me to convince myself to part with that much money at once. And I always end up selling it back again. But this time around I'm just going to keep it. I still have enough cash leftover that I could almost buy another set, so I guess I'm just going to live with having less money for a while. Anyways, I'm around halfway between 89 and 90 slayer, so hopefully I can get the rest of that exp soon and start going for some dark bow drops! It'll be nice to have a new task available. I guess that means less bad tasks if there are more good ones... right?

Monkey Madness Quest
He stated that in his original post. 48 range. Green dragonhide, yew shortbow. Type of arrows isn't too important, steel or mith is fine. Alternately you could use an addy crossbow and mith bolts. Bring a couple prayer potions, a little food just in case, and you'll be fine.

Monkey Madness Quest
This is correct. I finished the quest myself when I was only 41 range, and had no problems. So you should do just fine ;] What items did you use when you ranged the demon? Can't really remember exactly, it's been about 5 years since I did it, and my equipment would probably be outdated now.. But, in any case, I probably just wore dragonhide and ranged with my best bow/arrows. It's a very easy fight, you should have no problems.

Tasks not updating
Not sure about the first one, but I can answer the second one. The distractions & diversions listed under the task interface are not actually tasks- they're just there as a reminder of other things you can do, and also to remind you when you can do some of them again. Notice that if you pull up the task list, under distractions & diversions it will say 0/0 completed, this is because you cannot technically 'complete' them.

Okay, so I did go back to slayer. Was pleasantly suprised with a 3-drag-boot spiritual mages task (: Made about 2m in total, it was nice. I'm around 200k from 92 strength, using my new korasi's sword now, which I like a lot better than SS. So, maybe I'll get that strength level today, maybe not. Going out to dinner soon to the restaurant where my boyfriend works, can't wait for some of that lobster bisque~

Got my quest cape back! woot~ :] Also got a couple levels from quest rewards and exp lamps and such- 88 herby, 83 prayer, and 88 summon. I'm pretty happy right now, its been way too long since I got to wear this cape. Not sure what I'm going to do now... I don't really feel like going back to slayer right now, so I don't know. A little bit of random levels & skilling sounds nice to me (:

Need help on Nomad.
I can vouch for what eyeye said. I just got done finishing off nomad, and I can say I definitely wouldn't have been able to do it that easily without kyatt. I feel the same way you do about brews, I tried using them the first time and ended up dying while I was trying to figure out how much of what potion and whatnot I was trying to drink (forgot to drink restores at first and accidentally had my attack & strength down to 10- lol.) So I went back with rocktails and did just fine. You may have a little more trouble than me since your defence is lower, but other than that, our stats are somewhat similar. So my method will hopefully work for you. Black d'hide, BGS, nezzy, etc. Diamond (e) bolts in ammo slot. Inventory: 2 pray pots, rune c-bow, kyatt pouch, 100 ambush scrolls. The rest rocktails, plus a war tort full of rocktail. Drink an extreme set before you leave the bank, the fight shouldn't last long enough for you to need to dose up again so there's no reason to waste the space with them. Just melee him as usual, use BGS spec, etc. I prayed mage protect+piety+rapid restore. When your war tort runs out of food, dismiss him and go to town with the kyatt scrolls. It's really ridiculously easy. The C-bow & bolts are just for when he freezes you, the rest of the time just melee.

I dunno why I decided to give it a try, but I attempted Nomad's Requiem... and won! I didn't think I'd ever get up the nerves to try that quest, but it turns out it wasn't so hard after all, haha. (I only died twice) I'm thinking of just going for my good old quest cape again. I'm dangerously close- just 4 left to do now. The only reason I hadn't gotten it back before was because of WGS (which I didn't want to do due to the length of it), and Nomad (which I was absolutely terrified of), and now that both of those are taken care of... well, why not? I need to get korasi's sword anyways, because my saradomin sword is driving me nuts. I don't like 2h weapons at all. And I'm speculating that once dragon defender comes out (next week, I hope? plz jagex <3), korasi+defender is going to be better than sara sword anyways. So if I'm already going to have to complete void dance & void stares back, I might as well finish the other two and enjoy having a quest cape for a bit. A whole month, actually, considering that jagex didn't mention any quests in the behind-the-scenes this month :D

Been taking a break from slaying the last couple of days. I got my fletching from 85 to 90 while working on a thesis paper for one of my classes, then spent a bit of time today using up charms. I also got 86 magic from the circus this week. I'm frustratingly close to 88 (about 52k away) so I should be getting the level pretty soon when I start up with combat again. I'm also extremely close to 88 herby, thanks to the exp lamps I got from completing the seers elite diary. So, pretty soon I'll be able to make all my extremes with no boosts, which will be nice. So, this week I should be getting 43 or 44 dunge from tears of guth, 88 herb from MTK, possibly 88 summon depending on how many charms I get, and maybe even 92 strength. I also have almost enough dragon bones banked for a pray level, so that might happen depending on if I get some dragon tasks or not. Oh, and it's not exactly a level, but I'm within 10k of having 10mil hitpoints exp :] Overall I'm pretty content with how things are going. Now, to get back to slaying~ p.s. ZOMFG DRAGON DEFENDER! YAY!

Which account should I make Members?
I started Fullrune619 around 3 or so years ago, how long would it take for my name to change to it so it doesn't have the visa versa arrows and my new name in friends list? Probably a couple months, I'm not sure. But if it bothers you that much, you can change your name twice and only the most recent one will show up when they hover over it in your friends list ;]

Old Player Returning
As the others have said, there's just too many changes to sum it all up. However, if you hang around this forum for a few days you'll probably be able to catch up on the latest techniques for training, moneymaking, etc. And if you're looking to meet other players, I'd recommend joining a clan of some kind. A lot of the social aspects of runescape have moved into clan chats, so that's where you'll find active players to talk to and do things with. It doesn't have to be a combat clan if that's not appealing to you. There's plenty of social and skilling clans out there as well.

Collectible items for money...
Dragons are P2P. The only exception is Elvarg. I'd have to say that the eggs and roots are probably ONLY worth it on F2P. Also, killing hills for big bones in F2P is lucrative last time I checked. And Zokot, your basically telling someone to beat Desert Treasure once he get members. And 50 construction. That's what you need for a Canifis portal.... Typically not easy for a brand new F2P'er. Also, the 66(?) magic requirement might be a little high to him. I'd say for P2P, herbs/green drags are probably your best bet. Although drags are really crowded. Hills are good on F2P (I think) because of big bones and limps. Ah, really? I assumed since green drags were in wildy, they were f2p. But then, I haven't been f2p for 6 years or so. I'm going to agree with squab, then, hill giants are probably your best choice if you're staying f2p.

Collectible items for money...
Out of the ones you listed, I'm pretty sure mort myre fungus is the best one. But all of them are pretty bad moneymakers. With a little combat you can easily kill green dragons, their hides and bones are worth a lot. Or alternately, once (if) you become a member, you could get your hunter to 29 and hunt swamp lizards. I hear they are pretty good profit for lower levels.

2000 points or fire cape?
It's true that jad is easier when you're on task, but with your levels and gear, fight caves will be a piece of cake anyways. Just get the cape, there is no reason why you should ever waste 2000 slayer points because you don't want to spend an hour or two doing something other than slayer.

Took a couple of years off, need some money making advice
To elaborate on this a little bit: Farming: Do your herb runs, check Grimy's farming spreadsheets here for details on profits and what seeds to plant. If you do some dungeoneering, definitely get a scroll of life, as it will increase your farming profits quite a bit. MTK: Put 10 workers on herbs, 5 on maples. Check once a week. You should make a pretty good amount, although you may also want to use some the herbs yourself for exp, as herblore has become a very valuable skill. Frost dragons: You'll need 85 dungeoneering to do these, and they make a huge profit. Until then you can always do green dragons, they're quite profitable right now. Chaotic rapier: Arguably one of the best weapons right now, it's also from dungeoneering. You'll need 80 dunge to get one. Prayer: Not much has changed in the ways of training here. Offer drag bones on a POH altar. 70 prayer is well worth the cost.

Nechryael
Agreed with above, just melee them. They're easy enough, bunyip should keep up with the healing just fine, although you'll probably want to bring an EE in case they get a few too many lucky hits in a row. I wouldn't skip them, as they can be pretty profitable with a bit of luck. They drop rune boots fairly frequently (I usually get 1-3 per task), which are worth around 180k right now. Also, lots of good seeds, so you may get lucky with some snapdragon (~50k) or torstol (~380k) seeds too :]

Behind The Scenes - December
Dragon defender? I squeal with joy at the thought of it :D Now no one will be able to argue that DFS is actually useful for slayer (except wyverns, I suppose). And maybe I'll get to use the 6000+ warrior guild tokens that have been rotting in my bank for the last few years. I think this is going to be a brilliant month. Good job, jagex.

Semi-Afk Skills
Fletching: as you said, it would be pretty easy but also not very cool. Lol. Smithing: Just doing gold w/gauntlets is not a bad idea, although if you wanted to wait til later when attention span isn't an issue, you could get much faster smith exp with other methods. Magic: Not sure about this one, never tried string jewelery. Fishing: I'd recommend this one. Easily one of the most afk skills (except maybe woodcutting with ivy). And you'll make a bit of profit as well. Monks/fly fishing/whatever you want until 85, then LRC the rest of the way. Mining: Not entirely sure but I think it's not as afk-friendly as the others, since it involves a little more running around and attracting the attention of the rock creatures. Herblore: Too costly, and since it's only 14 per inventory it's twice as much clicking. Crafting: It's reasonably priced if you do battlestaves, but that's also 14 per inventory. On the other hand, you could craft dragonhides, but it'll get expensive fast. My recommendation: Fishing.

What was the first thing you did when you got members for the first time?
I got members pretty early on, I don't even think I was level 10 yet. So I spent my first couple members weeks just staying in the f2p area (was too afraid to go past where my newbie map showed), just doing normal noob stuff. The whole game was still new to me, so members stuff was no different. I remember doing gertrude's cat though, as my first member quest. It took me hours, haha.

Unicorn, when to use?
Alright, sounds good. Thanks much.

Unicorn, when to use?
I'm currently 85 summoning, and I've got nearly enough charms banked to finally get 88 for a unicorn. I've been wondering, though, when is unicorn really useful? I mostly just slay, rarely ever boss hunt (for now, anyway). Bunyip keeps up with me perfectly well on most tasks, so I can't really think of when a uni would be better. Waterfiends, maybe? What tasks would you suggest bringing uni instead of bunyip? Oh, and on a side note, I was thinking of trying out some bosses after I finish maxing out my melee stats. What kind of bosses would be good for me? I anticipate that my levels will be somewhere around 85-90 prayer, 87-ish herblore, max melees, 80ish range, and about 90 summoning. I'd prefer soloing where possible.

the task list
Yep, they have. The rewards you can get are still the same- you just need to complete all the tasks in a particular 'set'. In addition to that, though, there's also a small monetary reward for each task. Go talk to any of the achievement diary-related npcs and they'll give you cash for all the tasks you've already completed. I think he gave me somewhere around 700k, it was nice. Anyways, I think jagex is moving towards a different style of achievements, so not all of them have to be within one of the specific city sets that we had before.

Seer's Elite
Just a warning- in game, the task says that you need to make the potion anywhere in seer's villiage. This is incorrect. It has to be made within the range guild. I was trying to complete the same task with stews the other day. I wasted three +5 boosts, making lots of potions in different areas of seers, trying to figure out why the task was not being completed. I finally looked it up and found out I had to be in the range guild- don't make the same mistake I did #-o

Runescape Pet Peeves
prove it Excuse me? Do you really need to pick a fight with me everywhere I go? The most efficient way is not always the most enjoyable way for everyone. You can't set a value on personal enjoyment, and everyone's going have a different idea of what's fun and what isn't. Get over it.
