Rock lobster update?
I....don't know what to say to that... Perhaps you could start by answering the question? Not everyone here has been to rock lobsters. I've never been there but the bestiary says that they do in fact drop blue charms, so I'm assuming what OP meant is that he got an odd number of them, which wouldn't make sense if they dropped charms in sets of 2.

Is the darkbow worth the price?
Darkbows are fairly useless, except for a couple specific situations (I think they're good in pvp? Not sure). Stick with a rune crossbow for all your training, or any other situation where you need to use range. Similarly, D2h is pointless, and you're much better off using a whip / D scim / sara sword.

99 herblore and farming questions
- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
D boots on my 2nd kill this trip at mages! :D Awesomee. Less than 300k now until 98 attack. I can't wait.- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
Just got 94 hits & 86 slayer! Wewt :] That'll be the last hp level I get for now, but I just *might* get 87 slayer before 99 attack. Not sure yet. Also, I'm only 400k from 98 attack~- Is it a good idea to switch to curses berfore turmoil?
Clearly you fight steels wrong. If you ARE praying u shuld be praying melee while meleeing. Otherwise you shuld be maging/ranging from a safe distance and combo of shield + pot or the super pot = 0 damage. Running past steels while going somewhere in kuradal dungeon? Personally wouldn't bother with curses, they aren't that good on anything except arma or something to leech def. Steels are at the very end of the dungeon, there's nothing past them.- Money Making for Me - The Best Skill Method
There's a couple things you can do to earn money without really trying- 1. Farm herbs. Toadflax are pretty good at the moment. Just use supercompost, plant herbs in all your patches, and run back and check them later. You'll rake in a nice bit of cash with minimal effort. 2. Do the quests kingdom of miscellania and royal trouble, and use your kingdom to make money for you. Put 10 workers on herbs, and 5 on either maples or raw fish, and just check your kingdom about once a week to get your approval rating back up to 100% and put some money in the coffers (try to keep around 1.3m in there if you're only checking once a week). With this, you can easily make a mil or two a week without any effort at all, possibly even more.- Train range, collect charms..
You no longer profit chinning nechs :\ rune boots went down the toilet and you'd need some insane herb seed drops to cover it because they also dropped. It is still relatively viable as the loss is not too heinous (-200k or so a trip where a trip is about 1k chins), and it is about 160k range xp an hour... slower than other chin spots because you are looting more and need to use EE every once in awhile for some health (I did this for nech tasks for a looonnnng time, however no longer because it is no longer profitable and melee is sadly faster) Ah, ok. Thanks :P Still, if you want to chin without breaking your bank I guess it's not too bad of an idea.- Is it a good idea to switch to curses berfore turmoil?
It just depends if you think you'll need the stat boosting prayers or not. I'm in the same situation, and since I don't use piety or anything like that on my tasks, I prefer to use the curses. Having the slight extra damage from the deflect prayer is a lot more useful to me than having a bunch of stat boosting prayers I rarely use.- Train range, collect charms..
I've heard that chinning nechryeals can be pretty good (about 180-200k exp/hour). You'd need to get your slayer up to 80 first, though you could do it with range. They drop a good amount of crims and other charms, and supposedly you can actually profit from it, although I haven't done it myself. There's some guides you can check out, here's a pretty good one.- What to do with family gauntlets?
It really isn't too big of a deal since you can change them whenever you want, but in my opinion the most useful are the cooking gaunts. Goldsmith gaunts can be used for great smith exp, but you'll probably use the cooking ones more often.- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
Woot! 97 attack & 126 combat ;D Even though I'm not technically maxed out, it feels awesome to finally be the old max level. I still remember way back in the good old days when it was rare to see someone over level 100, and how awesome I thought it would be to be level 126 :] Also, for those who are interested (if anyone's reading this at all..), here's my tattoo! It's not completely done yet, I have to come back for another session to finish the fill and clean up the lines. [hide][/hide]- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
Just got 3 dragon boots in one task! :D Epic. I'm also only 87k from 97 attack. Starting to get close to 99 now, I can't wait :] In other news, I've got an appointment in 3 hours for my second tattoo, and I'm pretty nervous but really excited~- Graahk Runecrafting
Oops, you're right. It is 75. Sorry bout that ;P- Graahk Runecrafting
It's pretty basic, but there are a few little tricks you can take advantage of: 1. If you can, use the lunar spellbook. With contact npc spell you don't have to run to the abyss to fix your pouches. 2. Keep your weight as low as possible. Since you'll be runecrafting for a long time, it's worth taking time to get a pair of penance gloves from barb assault if you haven't already, and get your hunter up to 66 for the spottier cape. I checked your high scores, and it might be worth getting a few agility levels too so you never have to stop and waste time restoring energy. 3. After you can use the giant pouch (85 runecrafting), it's actually more efficient to use only the medium, large, and giant pouches since using all 4 of them would require you to bank three times instead of two. Graahking is around 25-30k exp per hour depending on your concentration. Good luck!- Herblore
Unfortunately the only inexpensive way to level your herblore now is to either gather herbs yourself or clean herbs for exp. If you want to gather your own, your best plan would be to plant herb seeds in all 5 patches, checking every time they're fully grown, use your kingdom to gather herbs for you, and spend the rest of your time killing a monster with a high drop rate for herbs, like abby spectres. Cleaning herbs can actually make you a profit, but it's extremely tedious and if you don't use mousekeys you'll probably end up with carpal tunnel. Either method is going to be painfully slow exp at your level, though, so it's up to you to decide if you'd rather save money or time.- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
It's my birthday today ;D Come on, steel dragons, give me a visage :]- MTK
I personally put 10 workers on herbs, 5 on maples. You can check out this calculator for more detailed information: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Miscellania- Approximate time for slayer to start gaining cash/levels?
I started to really make money when I began using kuradal. The exp seems faster, the money keeps flowing in, and it feels a lot less tedious. I keep a spreadsheet of my tasks and the total price of all my drops for each one, so I can give you some averages of the tasks I do and how much money I get in drops for each. Keep in mind this doesn't include how much I spend on supplies and potions. In order from best to worst: Black Dragons: 1,013,925 Blue dragons: 733,786 Living Rock creatures: 706,137 Aberrant Spectres: 698,676 Warped Tortoises: 654,413 Desert Strykewyrms: 646,302 Steel Dragons: 625,887 Iron Dragons: 605,278 Spiritual Mages: 553,782 Waterfiends: 419,849 Skeletal wyverns: 414,565 Jungle Strykewyrms: 365,125 Nechryaels: 358,117 Fire giants: 317,404 Gargoyles: 307,204 Dust Devils: 190,260 Bloodvelds: 115,423 TzHaar: 106,610 Greater Demons: 100,728 Terror dogs: 83,601- Im building my house, and....
Here's my crude drawing. It's got pretty much everything I need. All the stuff I use frequently is upstairs, and the less important stuff is downstairs. I am going to switch my study and combat room though, when I can stop being lazy about it ;P Basically you want to have 5 things located near your portal: 1. Portal room (Probably 2 portal rooms so you can have all the teleports) 2. Chapel for restoring prayer 3. Menagerie for restoring summ points 4. Study for making teletabs 5. Quest hall with a glory on the wall for unlimited teleports The rest of the design is up to you.- My bank is a mess
Here's a pic of my bank from a few months ago. I think it's pretty organized ;] [hide][/hide]- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
Just got my first spiritual mage task and a pair of dragon boots :] Only 360k til 97 attack~- Quest cape
- easyiest skill to lvl 99?
I must be missing something, from what level? That seems insanely quick That's 126 hours actually, which is only ~100k xp/hr. Even at 99 hunter I only average 80-90k an hour at chins. Exp rates at lower levels (especially before 80, when you can only use 4 traps) are significantly less. 3 weeks is definitely underestimated. Most people can get it pretty easily in a month and a half though.- ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
Finally got 85 slayer! Hope I get an abyssal demon task soon. I still haven't gotten a single spiritual mage task even though I've been 83 slayer for quite a while now. Oh well. I also just passed 10m exp in attack :] I'd love to keep playing but I've got to go get ready for work. The next few weeks are going to be crazy, since I'll be working, graduating high school, turning eighteen, going to a ton of grad parties, getting a tattoo, signing up for classes at university this fall, and a whole bunch of other stuff. So I'm not sure how much I'll be able to play, haha. - ' N O R R ii E ' + + Blog to Mastering Runescape
