For some it's better to hold onto until you get the full affect. IE: Zombie and mine, collect these whenever possible to get full set, cause you also get emotes with full set. Then you can toss it to save space.

You get xp for the ess used not the runes made. So if you make double , you still only get xp for 1 ess used not 2 runes made.
