i agree it does get annoying, and after going to so many events you'd think people with half a brain would remember their time adjustment from GMT and calculate accordingly, but i guess that's asking too much. i'm not even sure if i'm agreeing with you, but anything to stem the flow of those posts. in short, you have my support (whatever it's worth)

shadowfax, i have that exact simba doll in your avatar somewhere :shock: on topic: as with everything, the game becoming more mainstream has both advantages and disadvantages. alot of us would welcome a few worlds where there is no censor. i agree with "If you can't express yourself without swearing, then you need to work on your vocabulary skills," but it's really up to each individual to try to take that to heart and find better ways to express themselves (shakespearian insults, anyone? :P ). you either adapt past the filter, or you live in frustration trying to find new ways to use old words.

being girlfriend/boyfriend with someone on RS when you know them IRL is a bit contrived in my opinion; why would you want to spend time with them on the internet when you could be having fun with them in person? in the case of them introducing a new melee weapon, i think they've already introduced enough of the slower, more powerful weapons already, and they're long overdue to introduce an extreme of the opposite extreme, weaker and faster and/or more accurate version of dragon dagger. it doesn't need to be in the 'dragon' class weapon either, just a custom one.

i did the same, but i had to get the points first. i did it for the exact reason you posted here... uncertainty of making those runes.

warrior helm, abby whip, obby shield, legends cape, dark gloves (or whatever people decided to end up calling them, the final culinaromancer gloves), climbing/rune boots. the rest is rune, as i pretty much only train at dagannoths for melee anymore, and with bones to peaches the upkeep for barrows sets is a waste.

similar (probably the same) to this bug is when you're using full guthan against turoth/kurask/anything you need leaf-bladed spear for; you hit 0 but you'll still recover health from the nullified damage you dealt.

I don't believe you need DT to use the smokey well... you don't need to have beaten desert treasure, but you need to have started the quest and gotten to the point where you used the scrying glasses, otherwise you'll get a message like 'what reason do i have to go down there' or something like that.
