i haven't been lagging at all.. but i always use low detail except for when updates are released anyhow. and i also use a closeby server.

i'm in the god letters! it was one of my happiest moments in RS methinks, i was just like omg :shock: and :shock: . what's more, :shock: i actually have pictures of all the interesting/ironic/coincidential sleep words i had.. 'impure' for example, and 'lobster' when i was fishing lobs... nice article though. there's definitely more you could've included, but obviously you have your time constraints and other things to do.. P.S. don't try to hide who that person is who got 85 mining, lol :wink:

I'd really like to see evidence :'( so many ppl telling lies today im srry i just need proof. with no pics, it's nearly impossible to give proof unless you meet them ingame. even -with- pics it'd be very easy to fake.

i would've played classic, but last time i tried logging into my account there (month or two ago) i realized my stats were wiped.. so it's very likely i'd pretty much not play except to chat with friends or w/e 1. edit- of course right after i write this i'm motivated to get on and mess around on RSC, lol.

Why? No-one has yet posted one single reason as to why they want these items untradeable other than their own irrational fear of someone else getting something that they might want. EDIT: doh, misread rich for high level.. someone might've said it somewhere, but nevertheless a majority of the rich people are a high level so my point is still valid. but isn't an argument against you anymore, gunshafted. have you read all the posts? people have made very valiable points (which i agree with) as to why these items should be untradeable. People spend hours and hours training here to save up pazzaz points and get the robes. other people just spend there money and buy them. it just doesnt seem fair. jagex has it all backwards...the holiday items should have been tradeable (they are gone after a few days and then they work up value), the infinity robes should not be tradable (they are here to stay, all the value will do is decrease until everyone has them.) all you rich people need to stop buying your items and maybe acually work for them! so i back making them untradeable totally everything you've said is valid except for the part i've emboldened (i love that word). the high level people have already worked plenty to get the skills that they have, probably much harder than anyone will have to now, since they had to endure endless boring hours of alcing or teleporting (unless they autoed), while this area is comparable to what the agility area in brimhaven did for agility. it's definitely a much more entertaining way to level up magic (i've already gotten from 91 to 92 there already without really paying attention, woot). but what's unfair is if someone barely has the magic level to wear the things and has bought them for some enormous sum of money without earning it.

i would rather see POH and carpentry delayed for months to be released as good and entertaining skills rather than see it turn into another farming which people will start flaming when it comes out anyway. one easy solution to being frustrated is to not pay attention to the whole situation at all; if it comes unexpectedly, you'll be alot happier when it arrives.

god i remember that elitism.. one of the worst things about RSC :? not oldschool, but everyone talking about S A X made me remember a pic i have.. this was taken a few hours before RS2 beta came out and i had just finished legends :) oh, and the issue was concerning whether jagex was going to raise or lower the max combat level when rs2 came out... seems incredibly trivial now, but it was a big deal then, lol (it was increased from 123 to 126 which it is now)

only real problem i found is that you can cast 3 times with burst (or whatever the first multitarget ice spell is called :P ) and yes, i'm 100% sure of this, as i've done it hundreds of times without fail. 3 times safe, fourth cast they start moving at you. and when i barrow like this (always) i've never gone to general store; i find it too much hassle to dig your way out of the crypt again.. nice and simple to just tele to canifis each time. other than that it's exactly how i do it. nice work :wink:

nubbery- derived from the word shrubbery, it is used to describe a general scenery of people the antagonist considers to be noobs. can also be used in the singular...

oh no, i'm not really offended. you obviously have a point. but i definitely use the word noob, but i don't (at least i think i don't) use it in idiotic ways... anyways.. the list is funny. i like that nonskuller froob one too :P

the only problem i have is that you automatically assume anyone that ever calls someone else must be intelectually or physically inferior to the person they're calling a noob :? other than that.. this is my favorite one. never heard it before, but :lol:

OMG? what wrong with bumping aslong as its not spam? its like, they make a new topic everybody say use search so they do, and post in a older topic then they get told of AGAIN but for bumping old topics thats really confusing. --------------- On-topic, do you think me buying a santa hat now and saving it for a few months b4 x-mas06 is a good idea? i hoping it was a good investment it's just very annoying to see, as it keeps on happening more and more often nowadays.. there's no reason that these forum noobs need to post on the months-old topics as if it's helping anything.. and i really think that rares market is starting to stagnate (at least for small rares), so it might not be a great idea to buy. i could be wrong though, and there might be massive manipulation coming up in the near future, who knows :roll:

not really something worthy of a 'guide' per se..just a kind of tip imo.. been doing this for as long as i can remember.. i'm like 20k to 94 fletching and i don't really feel like i've made any effort at all :lol:

what i find funny is that practically all the people posting (cept runesmithie) about starting way early in RSC all have 1-4 post count :roll: but nice romantic story. i kind of got the impression that it was kind of hurried, alot of minor spelling and grammar mistakes.. especially "Do unto others, as you would [have them] do unto you," and the incorrect use of hither in alot of places. not really a major issue though, point got across. for all the people that are saying "it only takes me 2 min to walk from lumby to fally" need to realize that in games like runescape, RL time really doesn't pertain to game time; obviously walking through two towns and miles of countryside (proportionate to the size of the RS map) is going to take a few days IRL. just like how farming potatoes only takes a half hour max in the game, whereas it takes months IRL. also, what/who should we do/talk to if we want to submit something ourselves, short story or otherwise?

i don't really see glassblowing or cutting a gem similar to hammering nails into a board :P but they might release it at christmastime as a sort of 'gift' thing. who knows though. and about the actual skill, it could go either way.. being another farming or something else. but what i think might work is a minigame sort of thing, involving puzzles or minigames or w/e which you do while doing carpentry, changing based on your level and what you're carpenting; it'd be interesting seeing how quickly people like zezima would level up when you actually have to think :lol:

not sure if anyone said this, but that thing about them not being able to raise it above 99 because of a two digit system WAS said by someone in jagex at some point..not just some jealous noobs. and no, i'm not a jealous noob myself :P but it does make sense that they've been able to have stats above 99 for quite awhile, what with all the monsters above 126 combat.. so all i have to say is doh.

as everyone else basically pointed out, jagex's main appeal that sets it apart from all the other MMORPGs is that it runs in Java, and thus can attract a much larger population of gamers whose computers otherwise wouldn't be able to play a game of RS's size. as jagex has said in the past, they've pretty much pushed java to its limits with RS2, so any improved game would not be in Java. to the guy that misinterpreted the comment about it not being Runescape, i think he meant that literally, that it would be a completely seperate game, whatever they would decide to do with it. which i think is true. and yes, Paper Mario and MUDs do own (Aetolia especially :wink: )
