Oh man, the Opera scene in FF3/6... Probably one of the most emotional scenes in videogame history, if only for the absolutely brilliant music...

Problems running Caesar 3
I'm having problems running Caesar 3. The speed of the animation sometimes seems erratic, sounds and events aren't in synch, and the speech samples from citizens sound like they're being played at half speed. I've already tried compatibility mode. My (relevant) specs: Processor: Amd Athlon 2200+ Soundcard: On board 2.1 soundcard Videocard: GeForce FX 5200 768 mb ram

Do You Believe in Aliens??
While the odds that some form of life is out there are pretty big, I seriously doubt if it is intelligent, and if it is, would be advanced enough to cross the distance between them and earth in any reasonable amount of time. Even then, I doubt they'd interact with us in any way.

New Legend of Zelda Games-Twilight Princess and others
I wouldn't be surprised to see it playable on Revolution, along with The Windwaker, in some sort of bonus pack with whatever Zelda game will come out on that console. Personally I'm not too sad that they decided to bump it. I'd rather have a brilliant product in March than a so-so product for Christmas. The Zelda franchise deserves better.

lol hu tlks liek dis?
Meh, I try to use correct grammar/spelling wherever I type, it's simply good manners. If someone would feel the need to talk to me like that I guess most of the time I'd just ignore them...

lol how many of us actually still play RS?
I occasionally play on my ranger, but rarely more than once a week...

New Legend of Zelda Games-Twilight Princess and others
The graphics might have been 'kiddish', but the gameplay was all but.

New Legend of Zelda Games-Twilight Princess and others
Hmm, can't wait. I've already set aside ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì55 with my parents so that I won't blow it on something stupid between now and march. I'm on the top of the preorder list at the local store ^_^

"Intelligent Design" fails in some areas of the US
It seems that GhostRanger and I got tangled up within the confines of language, so let's skip what could be a long and entirely pointless squabble over words and focus on the topic at hand, shall we?

"Intelligent Design" fails in some areas of the US
No, that is something more to do with supply and demand. I think. :? Natural Selection is when something like a bird, adapts itself to a changing enviroment. For instance, if a type of bird kept getting eaten while it was sleeping at night - that species might adapt themselves to become nocturnal. Evolution would happen when a species has to adapt so much...they evolve into a different species of animal. Theoretically its how humans came to be. Actually, adaptation isn't entirely the right word for the process. The genes of a species as a whole don't change, it's mutation in the individual genomes that cause evolution. The most adapted genes will be passed on and become dominant, the least adapted genes will die out. The species as a whole doesn't evolve, it's the mutation of the individual genome that makes the difference.

Doesn't the theory of Evolution simply predict that genetic traits are passed on or die out depending on changing enviromental conditions? For example, if you have an isolated island with two different flowers and a species of bird where each individual bird can only extract food from either type of flower. Wouldn't the theory of evolution dictate that if the population of one of the flower types grows, the amount of individual birds within the species with the genetic trait that allows them to feed on that type of flower will also grow?

Actually, it listed multiple religions in those adds, not just Christianity. Personally I found the Green Card offer more amusing.

I thought a scientific theory should bee falsifiable, provide a mechanism and make predictions about future events. Obviously (Neo-)darwinism meets these criteria, can anyone give me an example of an ID-theory that meets them?

The Fifth Dimension...
When you try drawing this out on paper, it just doesn't add up. Connecting two points creates a line, connecting two lines creates a plane, connecting two planes creates a space, but connecting two spaces only seems to create a larger space. As far as human perception of the physical world goes, we can't 'see' beyond that yet, we can only theorize. Our brains are just barely able to percieve the passing of time, and not very clearly at that. We can only theorize what lies beyond there.

Avin fun with my bros :P {video}
:D Reminds me of a puppet show me and my brothers once did when we were ten. We put on these rediculous clown wigs, sit backwards, put sunglasses on them facing the audience, and just start talking in squeaky voices.

Little fighter 2
I used to play it quite alot over the school network. My favourite characters would be Julien and Firzen, although they're quite cheap, especially against opponents that don't know what they're doing.

Assassin - A short story
No fantasy this time... --- Assassin Richard watched the building quietly. For four days now he had watched his target come and go. Tonight, for the first time, she had come back alone. Without any of the losers she seemed to prefer the company of, she only seemed more glorious. Long, sleek, raven-black hair cascaded down between her shoulders. Shoulders that, like the rest of her body, were wrapped tightly in a deep, crimson velvet. The colour reminded Richard of blood, fresh blood flowing freely from the clean cut of a sharp blade. She had disappeared inside. She would cross the marble-clad hallway to take one of the high-speed elevators. Six̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ five̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ four̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ three̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ two̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ one̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ His timing was perfect. The moment he reached zero the lights of the third apartment on the fifth floor lit up. She was home, she was alone. For a moment her lithe silhouette flitted across the closed curtains. Richard brought his eye up to the scope and flicked a switch. A green haze passed over his vision. He needed a moment to adjust before he could take aim at the large window. Slowly he exhaled. His nerves were showing clearly in the slight shaking of his sights. He decided to give the diazepam tablets a few more minutes, even though he was sure that this time it wasn't just a physical tension. Thanks to the infrared he could watch his target even through the thick fabric of her closed curtains. She was sitting at the kitchen table, leaning forward slightly, probably reading something. His concentration began to slip, but a deep breath of crisp night air kept him focused, kept him sharp. A single motion, the slightest touch of his finger was all that stood between her and the sweet release only a bullet could offer. The motion, the mechanics behind it, it was all so simple and he had gone through them so many times. Pull the trigger̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ you need to pull the trigger̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ He really was losing his mind. He was talking to himself again. Amanda they called her. She who must be admired. It was a fitting name, even though it probably wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t the name given by her parents. Slowly Richard shifted the sights lower. A lot of people would be very disappointed if that face, carved out of the purest ivory, would be ruined by the careless leaden kiss of a bullet. Her chest then. Lungs or heart, the result would be the same̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Still, to harm such a beautiful body seemed sacrilege, even to a man who prayed only to himself. He could try a different approach. Poison. She would remain beautiful forever. Richard could see it now. An open casket funeral. An endless line of men weeping like children over the loss of their goddess, each and every one of them struggling to fight the urge to steal a kiss off the glorious corpse. No. Don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t hesitate. This had to been done even if it would be a hundred times more difficult than all the others combined. The diazepam wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t working, his hands were still shaking. Slowly he reached down. The tripod unfolded with a dry click. The shaking lessened only slightly, just enough to make a noticeable difference. Richard looked back through the sites, taking aim at the window again. She was gone. He cursed loudly against the howling winds. Too slow. For the first time in his life he had hesitated, and it made him too slow. Still he waited. The cold night air gripped at him, but he couldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t go back, not until he had done his job. He waited. Eventually she would show herself again. Time would stoke his determination. He would overcome his doubt. Then, Richard didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know how long he had waited, she reappeared again. The curtains to her bedroom window flew open. For a moment Richard was left breathless. She was beautiful. For the first time he could see Amanda like all the others could see her. A goddess. A goddess. He was going to kill a goddess. A goddess dressed in a white silk nightgown that flowed along with every curve of her body. A goddess that simply stood in front of her window and watched him. Richard realised she could see him. She was watching him. Daring him. Pull the trigger̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ Even though he had never heard her speak, he could hear her whispering to him. Pull the trigger. I dare you. The voice was a cold, distant whisper where he had expected the seductive tones of a divine woman. Something inside him snapped. Richard never remembered flexing his finger, pushing back the trigger. The silencer left a silent whisper, a promise of oblivion that couldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t even be heard over the winds that howled along the rooftops of the skyscrapers. Even though his hands were shaking, his aim at that split second was perfect. The gunpowder inside the shell combusted. The lead, propelled by the rapidly expanding gasses inside the barrel, sped forward, crossing the distance between the two buildings in a single breath. Shards of glass cascaded all around Amanda, and for the briefest moment she seemed even more of a goddess than before, emerging among a chorus of sparkling lights like Venus once did from the waves. Then came the bullet, utterly merciless. It pierced skin, bone, brain, bone and skin again before emerging on the other side. It sped on, stopping only when a wall of solid concrete blocked its path. Amanda seemed to take forever to sink to the floor. Richard couldn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t see the look on her face. She had no face. The calibre was large enough to assure that. It took two weeks for Amanda̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s body to be released by the police. The funeral was almost like Richard imagined it to be. The casket was closed, but everything else was there. No family. No friends. Just worshippers coming to say goodbye to their goddess.
