If you make a camp somewhere, and make noise, it would attract zombies from all directions. But, a well disciplined and equipped group could take out almost any number of zombies that were surrounding them. I think it says they move a max of one step ever 1.5 seconds. A group of five people could probably take out 500 zombies if they were surrounded, as long as they had enough ammunition, and they were skilled enough.

I get the feeling you've read World War Z? Just pretty much everything you've said is mentioned in the book. For anyone that hasn't read the book, reeeeead it, it's by Max Brooks and its very good, it's being released as a film next year. I've read it far too many times, haha. Blood goes through your body pretty damn fast, so I doubt it. But if you were bitten somewhere where there weren't any major blood vessels, and you acted quickly, you might have a chance. I suppose if you were going to die anyway, amputation might be a good thing to try.
-
Again, getting bit doesn't mean there's tons of zombies. Zombies are easy to kill, they're slow. But, let's say you're walking through a field, with tall grass. A zombie, who happens to have lost it's legs in past combat (Let's say it walked over a land mine). It's dragging itself through the field, and you happen to walk by it. It bites your ankle. You shoot it in the head. And as for looting a corpse, it's not like you would have to off yourself as soon as you were bitten. You would have 12-16 hours before you were put into a coma by the virus. You could give all your supplies to the rest of your group.
-
Shooting yourself is: 1: A waste of ammo 2: Harder for someone to do than bite down on a pill 3: A loud noise. Unless it's silenced. But honestly, try to get a silencer. It's a lot harder that you would think. And unless your brain was destroyed when you jumped off the cliff, you'd still come back.
-
Almost all zombies would end up being like that, by your logic. Unless the zombie literally bites through your neck, it would be hard for it to kill you. This is how most people would be infected: A zombie sneaks up on them, or overpowers them, bites them, the person ends up escaping or killing the zombie, and runs away. They're still infected, but they wouldn't die of natural causes from the bites. The virus shuts down most of the bodies functions, destroys parts of the brain, and then rebuilds the brain. Or something like that. About 12 (?) hour after you're bit, you go into a coma, 23 hours in your heart stops, 24, you're back up.

My parents started paying me 20$ a week after I basically took care of my mom for an entire summer, and did all the work after she had major surgery that basically disabled her from doing much for 3 months. This included doing almost all the shopping (She would be in the passengers seat when I was driving, since I only had my permit then, not my license), cooking and cleaning. And they've kept it at that ever since. So 1000$ a year isn't bad for someone my age. Plus I get 12/hr working during the summer, which brings in another 3000$ working like 25 hours a week. Altogether not too bad.

This. Although I did have a good laugh. Silly Americans getting trolled IRL. The guy who is being held lives a few miles from me. My best friend's house is next to his, and (obviously) knew him. Latios, [bleep] you, honestly. You say you laughed because I ship filled with humanitarian supplies for one of the poorest areas in the world was attacked. Acting like an ITG won't make you cool, latios.

Swords are much less durable than a machete. And they are almost impossible to find. At least a real one that is actually designed for combat.

Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws

How do they now? Lure people into giving money by playing on their guilt. Stop trying to demonize the church, their intentions are good. No. Helping people and charity yes, but taking advantage of peoples' fears, indoctrinating children with ridiculous stories, trying to force their scripture into law, condemning condom use and refusing to pay taxes at the same time? Not so good. 1. They don't pay taxes because atm they're government funded. 2. As for law, you got me on that one. 3. They don't take advantage of fears, at least not mine. In the years I've attended my church I've never heard a word from them about hell. 4. The church didnt condem condom use, the Pope did. 5. What rediculous stories? There are two kinds of things in the Bible, historical fact, and stories made to teach lessons. Which it claims are true. -

And they should also pay taxes. By the same standard, does a shop owner have the right to tell a black person that he can't buy anything from his store because he's black? If yes, well at least you're being consistent. I understand the freedom of institutions standpoint but at the same time rights of individuals are more important in my opinion. there's a difference between the two. in a store, not letting someone buy from a store is getting rid of the right a person has to get the things they need for survival, whereas the church itself is an institution and it is much different from a store. A church is a place of worship, and a place where people gather to pay respect to their gods. The church should not need to give the homosexuals the ability to be married in their church, due to the fact the church is a place where they teach principles and morals, although not always right, forcing the churches to let them get married in the church is against the principles and views they teach in their church, is not right. The act of marriage has nothing to do with survival, like the situation with a store, it is just a higher level of bonding between a couple, which isn't needed in a church. Although the individuals themselves may follow the religion, while still being homosexuals, they should be able to respect the church's right not to be forced to contradict what they teach. And on the subject of churches paying taxes, I don't quite understand why, and where exactly would they get the money from? some churches get a lot of money from donations, whereas churches in poorer demographics may have trouble getting funding for taxes, and not have the money to help out, organize events, and other such things with charities, and contributing to the local community. Did anyone ever notice that the options underneath the reply box, the spaces in the center of it all, is shaped like the eiffel tower? Would it be acceptable for churches to not allow blacks to marry there? Or latinos, or asians, or any other ethnicity? Why shouldn't churches pay taxes? They get money, they own property, they get a ton of money every year. Taxes would only mean they get less. -

This is why I consider Atheism a religion  Some followers try to convert others just like any other... If atheism is a religion, then not believing in a specific god is a religion. Then a Christian, who only believes in one god, has another religion for each god he doesn't believe in. Mustang, again, why do you believe in god. answer me. -

Well, considering god doesn't exist, I don't see how your argument is relevant. you dont even have proof that god doesnt exist what are you atheist or something Hahahahahahaaha. Worst response ever. Honestly. Besides the whole "you don't know god exists argument" here's a list of gods you don't believe in. Iowa, and now Vermont, Pass Same-Sex Marriage Laws
Wisp replied to Range_This11's topic in Off-Topic
I would not care in the least if my child were gay or lesbian. Doesn't matter a bit to me. They're no less of a person and I would love them just as much. What if they were even more out there? And as for Vermont passing the law... domino effect? As for a domino affect, the gay marriage bill had been in progress for a long time. If not for our [developmentally delayed]ed governor vetoing it, it would have passed much sooner. -

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?

I guess I break the stereotype of girls mostly skilling. My favorite part of the game was pking. It's always funny when I walk into a like best buy or gamestop, and buy something like halo, cod or GoW the people there are surprised. I never really got much of the be my gf stuff, mostly because I was a member pretty early on, and stayed mostly in the wilderness for my earlier levels, and if anyone bothered me I could kill them. -
Me, but the no small planes would be able to fly across the ocean. Unless we could jack a airliner, which would be impossible, we couldn't fly across.

1: The homesexual parents are worse has NEVER been actually proved, and has actually been proved false. 2: Heterosexuality is obviously not the natural thing, only the more common thing. Is having blonde hair not natural? It's less common than having brown hair so it most be unnatural. 3: "the catalyst there is the word relatonship". What do you even mean by this whole part? Do you have any proof or anything to back the next part up, or any reasoning? I guarantee that you're just making [cabbage] up here. -

I could have sworn Vermont was free range already. But, rah rah shishkoomba? I'm in VT. It's still not passed, there is still the chance that the veto will succeed, and not enough legislatures will switch.. It's pretty heated. Almost everyone in the state got an automated call telling them to call their legislator and have them join with the governor against gay marriage, sponsored by some right wing company. It actually had the reverse effect, and more people called telling their person to support the marriage bill than too oppose it. My uncle is sterile. Should my aunt and him not be married? -
Africa is actually a decent idea. A lot of animal reserves are really big, and stay a decent temperature all year. As in, survivable. Hot is better than cold usually, too. The reserve wouldn't attract many zombies, and it would be filled with animals that if needed we could hunt. Lots of trees and such for buildings there too. Depending on where we decided on (if we went there) there might be a heavy dry season, but also a heavy wet season, so we would need containers to collect a huge amount of water during that season.

So basically a normal gun, as zombies are immune to lightning? Zombies aren't immune to lightning. Electricity can stop a human heart, and the heart doesn't matter on zombies. But if there's enough electricity, it can fry their brain, killing them. It can also stun them, since it sends their muscles into spasms. But it takes more electricity to stun a zombie than a human, so a standard tazer wouldn't work.

Mountains are ok, but somewhere else, say the middle of some plains in africa, or in the US would be much better. Why? 1: Still really isolated 2: Easier to farm 3: Easier to get to (Could you really climb a 3 mile montain to a suitable site while carrying all the gear you would need to survive forever. It would take forever) 4: No bad side effects (altitude sickness) 5: Better climate. Even if the zombies wouldn't freeze, it would negate the need for cutting wood for half the year in order to keep warm.

I think they only go up to DD Nope.
