What I'm wanting to know is...with coupons, how do the products get paid for?

I will quit rs if they mess with the current system. Please no more gamebreaking bonus xp (like from effigys), AND PLEASE no buying xp/gp with money. I think that's honestly the only thing they can do. The fact is, many people bot because the game is grindier than all hell. That says a lot about the current system. I've played an MMO where they completely removed the grinding system that you see in traditional games and replaced it with one where you could gain XP while offline. :smile: It pretty much solved the problem with bots. Many people quit over it, but things settled and people adapted. Same happens in every game.

Is it likely for people to stop hoarding resources and flood the market causing a temporary crash? Also, what are dragon bones going at for the moment? And is it worth me paying a higher price due to bots not working or will bots likely come back and I should wait for prices to settle back to what they were? I'm an extremely casual player, so waiting doesn't bother me too much if I have to.

I think being frugal is a good skill to have, even if you make a lot of money.

A doctor on the ambulance that carried him back said he died of wounds on the way. Wounds that he clearly had as he was being dragged out of the hole as seen in the videos. Know what I think? I think Jagex will basically install spyware onto your computer in order to search for any autoclickers or scripts. It'd be a good idea for anyone that may have these things (even if they didn't bot on Runescape) to go ahead and delete these programs and back up script files to a flash drive. That's the only way I see Jagex being able to do anything about the botting issue.

By the way, NTC lied about Gaddafi's death. He was NOT killed in a crossfire. He was dragged out of a drainage pipe, beaten and held onto the back of a vehicle by several rebel fighters while people filmed him, and then he was shot in the gut. It's a shame that the NTC said such a blatant lie about this considering that there were videos everywhere showing Gaddafi being held down while begging for his life while rebel fighters were laughing at him right before he was shot. There was no crossfire. This lie makes me doubt the NTC's capacity to create a truly democratic government in Libya.

Personally, I wouldn't mind upgrading to a newer iPod Touch, but considering that I cannot be too sure if the issue will persist in the newer devices or not and considering the fact that I only ever use my iPod Touch for Youtube and my mp3 files, it doesn't make much sense from my perspective to upgrade. Especially since I'm perfectly fine with my iPod until Apple forces me to upgrade and/or the iPod wears down and breaks. Hell, I knew since day one that the battery life on the 2G sucked, but that didn't stop me from liking my iPod. Space? That has never been an issue for me. I only ever purchase music that I think I will continue to like months down the road; the rest of the music I listen to on Youtube. And I'm not a pirate, so it's not like I download thousands of songs and will ever come close to using up the 4-8 gigs left on my iPod.

Guess that pretty much makes me an [wagon]. But I honestly have no qualms with shitting on the RS community because they'd do the same to me in a heartbeat.

An interesting side-effect, if this update actually works, might be the change in the average price of RuneScape's common commodities, most of which were heavily botted which in turn kept their prices relatively low. When nature runes, amulets of fury, adamantite bars, herblore supplies and dragon bones start shooting through the roof again, I'm not convinced everyone will be so glad to see the back of them. This is before even touching on the wider issues surrounding RuneScape, other than botting. This. Honestly, and I may sound like a total dick for this, but I'd rather have bots around if it meant that I wouldn't have to pay 200M for turmoil instead of the 50M (with bots around keeping prices low). Anyway, I just put an offer in GE for 25,000 dragon bones. I hope this update falls flat on its ass so that the prices of the bones drops back down to a reasonable price.

Asperger's Syndrome makes it difficult to have interpersonal interactions, but it doesn't make it impossible. I think, based on what I read here and there, Mather's depressed and possibly even frustrated with himself. In order to get out of that and make himself happier, he needs to change his attitude towards everything and have a positive outlook in life. Also, I read that Mather thought about committing suicide? He really needs help with that because he's in a crisis situation in his life, and it sometimes seems that when you guys post, it makes it worse for him. This is not something you should play around with, and he needs help if he truly desires to kill himself because he is depressed.

Waaay off-topic, but what the [bleep] ever happened to Jagex's plan to redo the character face models or whatever and allow us to have more customization? (eye color, makeup, etc)

Such useful advice. Anyway, I think I at least resolved the issue, for now. I upgraded the software on the iPod to the most recent version, and youtube seems to be working fine.

Hey, I've had a problem where videos played on the Youtube app on iPod Touch work fine for a week or two, then it suddenly says "This video cannot be played." There are a lot of people that have had this issue, and I've looked through threads about the issue and no one ever received any useful info about how to solve the problem. The videos work fine when played on my computer. Videos seemingly cannot be played at random and stay that way. I've tried clearing my history on the Youtube app, tried rebooting the iPod, etc. I don't know what to do. This problem has happened all the years that I've owned an iPod touch. Now I'm pissed off enough to try to do something about it.

Maybe the sock mask would be a Runefest-specific reward? I'd imagine that the golden scythe will be given out to everyone like the golden hammer was given to everyone when Jagex won the Golden Joysticks thing.

I hope they give us the scythe then realize they didn't actually win.

Question about the October 29 event: Will it last all that day? 2PM GMT is about 8 AM my time. Do I have to wake up at that time to do the event?
