You're welcome to go get money if you can prove your financial status. Well, I can prove I don't need the money. My family is fairly well off though we need to make at least $20,000 a month to pay our bills. I just don't think it's right to give illegal aliens money because they came to our country and had a child. The US owes so much money to other countries, why the hell are we giving it to illegal aliens!?

Is the policy out of date? Yes. The aliens sneak into our country illegally, have a child, then are allowed to stay here and are given money! All of my living family (and many that are no longer living) were all born here in the US but we don't get free money from the government. I don't mind if they stay in the country, but why should we give them money!? They broke the law to get here, don't give the criminals money! Gah, makes me angry..

I'm not much of a chess player (I'm not good) but last year my study hall decided to have a chess tournement. It was pretty fun but there was only an hour and a half each day to play and we only had 2 chess boards so it took a few weeks to finally have a winner. No, I didn't win.. Some kid who the teacher always picked on for being Dutch won. Good times.. Just thought I'd share that..

Money can't buy happiness. I know from experience that the thousands of dollars worth of video games surrounding me can only keep me happy for so long. Maybe his relationship with his girlfriend is a problem. Fighting can really take a toll on someone even if they make up afterwards. Whether he likes it or not, he should spend some time away from her if they fight often. None taken. I seem to be quite femanine online, not so much in real life.. :-k That's actually how I live my life. I feel miserable on the inside but every day I put on a happy face and make everyone around me as happy as I can. No need to have others sad just because I'm not feeling the best. As I've read through this topic it seems to me this is just your friend's cry for attention. No, I'm not saying you should rule out the possibility that he is suicidal but it doesn't seem like he really wants to commit suicide. I still thinking going to an adult would help. If it is just a cry for attention, he'll hate the time he'll spend with a psycologist.

I can't pick a specific game. I'd have to say the worst games I've ever played were based on movies/tv shows. I can't stand most of them, however 007 used to be great.. Not so much anymore.

I have a 360 (well, it's my brothers but you know..) and I don't really want a Wii. I think it would be great for when you have friends over and such. I like getting into a game but not to the level the Wii takes it to. I'll stick with the 360. The Wii might be a little too extreme for me.

I've been through some nasty depression and I even had suicidal thoughts at one time. I never went through with them but I also didn't tell anyone because I knew I was strong enough to get through it. If he's only telling one person, he could be serious. Also, I'd rather have my best friend betray my trust and go to my parents than to let me kill myself. And visa versa, I'd rather have my best friend hate me than to be dead, leaving me here to remember I'm the only one who could have done anything to stop them. I'm not going to try and "out bid" you on the "depression scale", as it is pointless and I don't want personal information about this online...however, I would never forgive my friend if he told anyone. I'm sorry you feel that way. Maybe you'd rather be dead.. Not my problem. =;

The only poker I know how to play is Texas Hold 'Em. I enjoy playing though I can't go to casinos (seeing as how I'm only 16). I actually haven't played in a long time. I used to play with my cousins every time I saw them and once in a while with my bro.

Way to contribute to the conversatsion.. :roll: @Shadow: I liked that website. I learned some things I didn't know about the Zune and iPods though I wasn't much interested in reading about Zen. I was messing with a Zune at Target today.. I like the set up and the 3" screen is nice.

I did a quick search and found them in 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, and 30gb models. So yes, they do come in large sizes.

I find it hard to talk to people in person when I have a problem so I write it in a note or talk to my friends online. If he won't open up to you in person, try talking to him online. It's much easier to talk to someone when you can't see their reaction to what you're saying.

I don't think the shark deserves to be killed. The shark didn't force the boy into it's territory. The ocean isn't our habitat. When you get in the ocean you're always taking the risk of getting bitten/stung by something. In Maui, more people are killed by coconuts falling on their heads than by sharks so should we start cutting down the trees that bear the coconuts because someone was stupid enough to sit under it? Gah, I hate it when people think they need to take revenge on animals..
