  1. It depends on the relationship and what comes out of it. In highschool, most relationships tend to be fake, that both parties were indirectly peer pressured into. In this case, the two people aren't going to be interested in furthering their collective intelligence. But two adults on the other hand who meet at their university on true love - I believe that would be a great relationship to help with education. I'm going to have to agree with you here. High school relationships are usually fake or infatuation. I know I probably won't meet anyone I truely want to be with for the rest of my life until I'm older. I have to admit, right now I'm mostly looking for sex. I suppose peer preassure has a lot to do with that. Though I will argue that you do learn things from high school relationships. Little things about dating, the opposite sex, and possibly things to keep you from embarassing yourself in bed once you find that special someone. It's getting late.. I'm going to go to bed before my posting becomes too random/meaningless. Good night!
  2. Seeing as how I'm looking for somewhere to put my faith, I'd have to go back to time of Christ's life and see if he was truely the son of God or just a regular man. If not that I'd like to go back to the Vietnam War. I'd want to be an American soldier because I want to see if the war was really as horrible as I've heard. When I think of the US Army I don't think of a soldier whining about how horrible it is. I think of soldiers ready to do anything to defend their country and in this case defeat communism. Maybe I'm just a soulless, heartless bastadr but I don't think soldiers should show weakness like that.. Flame me all you want, you won't change my mind and you won't hurt my feelings.
  3. Yeah, but can't you overdo it? What about balancing that with other just as important things outside of what you can gain from a screen? Of course you can overdo it. What good is all that knowledge if you don't have the social skills to apply it in reality? Sure you can apply it online, but you can also Google it at the same time. I enjoy spending time learning about other cultures, languages, religions, ect when I'm online but I also make sure I have good social skills so that I can apply the knowledge I've gained to my everyday life. Adam, don't say you don't understand this.. If you really don't I think I should get some sleep..
  4. I'm saying something I did on Friday proved to me just how immature me and those around me are. Also, there is one thing we care about.. Sex. Though there are a few other things I care about right now, I'm not doing anything to achieve them.. Don't take anything I say right now too seriously.. I haven't slept much lately.
  5. Dane Cook I have 4 1/2 hours of him on my iPod so I'm always entertained :P "That Dane Cook is a silly b*"

Wait until you get to...12th I think? I'd call Hamlet Shakespeare's best work, by far. Well, my freshman year sucked, my sophomore year is going great so I can't wait to be a senior if this keeps up : And I've heard that's really good.

The last book I read was for my freshman English class. It was called 'Breathing Underwater'. It was pretty good but I don't remember who it was by. Also, Romeo & Juliet was a good read in that class (I got to be Romeo for a while :)
  8. We think we're more mature than we really are. At times I think I'm mature but then I think of a little competition (sexual) I had on Friday and relise there's no way I could be as mature as I thought. So maybe we're not mature enough for college, but we're the ones paying the bills!
  9. Heh, I loved Duck Hunt.. Though I wasn't much a fan of that SMB game..
  10. My first game was Ninja Gaden for NES. I loved that game so much..
  11. Yes, but you also cut yourself.. Shush.. I'm trying to forget that part of my life.. But you just did it about a month ago...when all this was supposed to happen 6 months ago.. Sorry to keep this off topic.. Yeah, it wasn't that long ago but that was also when my depression was at it's worst. I did things like that and I'm not really proud of them so I'm just trying to forget them.

  13. I live in Eastern Iowa. We had some freezing rain on Wednesday night but not bad enough to get out of school. As of right now, I really don't want any snow days this year. I'm really enjoying school this year (even though I'm just paying attention to friends, not the school work).
  14. I just got to thinking.. So many of us say we're going to get them, but how many of us are going to wimp out and find a 'good reason' not to get one. Personally, I know I'm going through with it because the pain can't be that bad..

My parents used to have an explorer. I don't know what year it was but we had it for quite a while. Nice vehicles if you ask me.. And I totally think you should get a VW Bus lol. Would have to learn to drive a manual car, but that's no big problem, I've been around tractors long enough to get the basics figured out :P My friend promised to teach me how to drive a manual if he ever gets one.. I hope he doesn't mind a few dents :P

  17. Hah, I forgot all about that.. That was a horrible night. How about I tell the story in some detail? We were leaving Florida and there was a bad storm so our flight was delayed for about an hour. Anyways we got in Cincinatti about 10 minutes after we were supposed to be on our next flight. Well the flight crew knew our flight had been delayed in Florida and appearently couldn't hold the flight for a few minutes. So we went to see if there were anymore flights we could get on that night. There weren't any so we asked for our luggage sos our lu that we would have warm clothes for the night. They refused to give luggage since we had booked a flight for the next morning. So we spent the whole night in an ice cold airport. That is the one time I've ever hated an airport..
  18. The only thing that I can remember that has ever really freaked me out was watching this object float over my house in the middle of the night once. I can't really describe the shape but there was no noise, no wind, just calm. I was young so I instantly thought aliens were invading, but when I think about it now I can't really think of a good explanation of what it was. True, I believe in other life in the universe but I don't believe I saw aliens.. It was just wierd and really freaked me out.
  19. I love airports and airplanes.. I do infact have a story, but due to me being lazy I'll keep it short and simple. A few years ago I was on a flight to Hawaii with my family and there was a passanger a few rows ahead of us who was drunk. The stewardess refused to serve him anymore alcohol so he got mad and stole some alcohol from where ever they keep it. They finally calmed him down and I'm fairly sure he was arrested when we landed in Hawaii. Well, it was better if you were there.. :P
  20. I think a cool way to die is protecting someone you truely love. I'd like to die with a bullet through my skull.. When will I die? Only fate will decide. Also, I'm thinking of joining the Army in a few years, so it might not be far off for me. :ohnoes:
  21. I'm actually thinking of getting a tattoo when I turn 18 (2 years away). I'm not really sure what I want but I don't want anything big.. Just something decent sized and fairly simple.. :-k

My first car is a 2000 Pontiac Firebird. My parents took the money out of their savings to buy it for me a few months ago though I get my license on Tuesday. Only a few problems with it: -Broken visor -Brakes need to be looked at -Needs new tires -minor scratches There's only 2 other cars I would have rather gotten.. A '69 Mustang or a '75 Corvette.

I'm not going to listen to everyone's advice and I'm asking for a Zune for Christmas. So maybe some people don't like it, others don't like iPods. If I get one, I'll let you know what I think of it. Until then, I'm taking a nuetral stance on this..
  24. Aww, you ruined my theory :P
