  1. Use a potato. One shot you got big chunks for stew, two shots home fries here look at this. You add a musrhoom, the more you do it the finer it gets. Now watch this, you're gonna love my nuts. But really, a potato can be used as a very crude, impromptu suppressor. Really? Well mine is less crude then that, and involves some cutting and gluing. Yeah potatoes really do work; of course thats only going to be effective at short range for one shot. If you want a workable silencer that lasts for more than one shot, oil filters are the way to go. Drill out the closed end and find a way to stick it on the end of your barrel (it's best to put some threads on the outside of the barrel and just screw it on, but duct tape ought to (temporarily) do the job) and you got yourself a silencer. My dad met a guy who did this with his .22 and it works perfectly. I'm not sure if there's a limit on how big of a gun it will silence completely, but even if it doesn't completely silence the shot, you're still looking at decreasing the hearing range by quite a bit.
  2. Banned for referencing that one game that everyone loses when you reference it.

  4. Granted. He learns how to dance, but also loses most of his sight and ends up getting bit by a zombie and then bites you and I end up having to shoot both of you. I wish I knew what movie, from my collection, I wanted to watch.
  5. Nope. TPUM wants to become a ninja-pirate.
  6. I've actually had it do that before. It doesn't happen very often (it pretty much requires that I max out my cpu on something with high definition for at least an hour (if I want to ply RSHD for any length of time, I generally have to take a side panel off so it doesn't overheat)), but it has happened.
  7. Some random lady comes up and sticks a frog head mask/thing on your head. You see a button with a small screen showing a fight between a duracell battery and an energizer battery.
  8. Banned because there are actually two a's in my name.
  9. My current desktop. I got it and everything I upgraded it with for free when my grandparents' business got rid of 3 very similar computers and a motherboard (I'm not sure why they had a motherboard lying around, but I got a free graphics card and a replacement cpu fan (the original one quit last summer) out of it, so I'm happy  ) a few years ago. It might only have a 2.2 GHz processor, 1 gb RAM and an 80 gig hd, but it's the best and most reliable computer I've ever had (I just have to be careful while playing RS on HD because it can make it overheat whenever it gets hot (75+ degrees farenheit) out 8-) ). Hopefully I'll be getting some more computers from my grandparents in the near future. It's fun to go through a computer and see what it has and if there's anything I can do to make it better and I really don't know how long this one will last (I assume that the cpu and/or motherboard can just die over time since I have (multiple) spares of everything except for those (I have like 10 80 gig hard drives, ~5 power supplies, several extra cpu fans, dozens of cd drives, and several extra 512mb sticks of RAM) ).
  10. I'm not sure what else could be blocking the programs, but I highly suggest switching to Avira Antivir for virus protection and Ad-Aware for spyware protection.* AVG has become one of the worst anti-virus programs lately and all I hear of in the spyware department is that Ad-Aware is best. *Be careful when running Ad-Aware with Avira installed as I've had Ad-Aware take Avira as malware before (only happened once and then I got rid of Ad-Aware because I have IE set to block add-ons from sites I have gotten spyware from previously, anyways (after running a scan, I'd go into IE, go Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Otions > Sites, and then just put in the sites listed at the bottom of the report and hit block; I currently have like 60 sites blocked this way and haven't had spyware problems in a long time (I know this because that incident with Ad-Aware happened a couple weeks ago, it only detected Avira as a threat, and I hadn't had an anti-spyware program on my computer for at least a year beforehand))).
  11. I figured you'd say something like that and I'm as clueless as you are. I've never had anything like that happen and I've played with RAM so much over the past few years (mostly in trying to fit as much of it in one computer as I could). If you're wondering, my grandparents let me have everything computer-related that would otherwise be thrown out by their company. I currently have 8 of their old computers in my room and parts (cd/flappy/hard drives, power supplies, etc.) from at least 6 more. :ugeek: \
  12. Well, first of all, get rid of Norton's and get Avira Antivir and, if you want a dependable and free firewall, Comodo Firewall (they also have a free antivirus program to go with the firewall, but Avira is currently the best free antivirus program that I know of). Once you have that done, do what littleboy did and, if it still doesn't work, give it a couple hours and it should start working again (assuming what y_guy_4_life said is correct). If it still doesn't work, then good luck because that's all I can think of doing.
  13. If the RAM is working fine in another computer, you probably got the wrong RAM for that specific computer (compatibility isn't only determined by the number of pins and the fact that the RAM fits into the slots: there should be a number preceded by the letters "PC" on the RAM; make sure this matches what your computer can handle (check your owner's manual)). As for the hibernation thing, that's because, when you put a computer into hidernation, it stores information on what you were doing on the RAM. When you switched the RAM, the new RAM didn't contain this information and the information is, therefore, lost. I hope that helps. Most of my experience with RAM is with older (3+ years; some probably going as far back as 2000 if not all the way back to the late '90's 8-) ) computers and is, as with anything over a day or two old in computers, likely to be outdated.

I had to guess on both: 11 because I just didn't know and 14 because I got it down to two answers and then guessed.
  16. Excitement = Massive Cabbage on crack. What, besides living creatures, that doesn't use a computer(s) in some way.
  17. It turns out the button was shaped like a mutated flower that was the product of it being infected with radioactive stuff and you get nuked. The button shaped like a graduation cap.
  18. Banned for trying to win the favor of the TZDF (not necessarily a bad idea; just one that got you banned in this awesome game).
  19. You get teleported to Jurassic Park where you are eaten by velociraptors. The button shaped like a frisbee.
  20. Very interesting. I really hope "Mechscape" (whatever the final name may be) comes out this year.
  21. Banned for reminding me of that song that, although totally amazing, will probably get stuck in my head and annoy me and everyone around me for the next couple hours.
  22. A camel comes out of nowhere and spits on your face before its owner, a rich oil tycoon, makes you drink a can of oil. The button made of silly putty.
