I can't see anything wrong with his explanation and he clearly states Jagex's reasoning for not doing a rollback. But if you feel it is enough to leave the game over, well, goodbye I guess? Add it to the long list of failures which Jagex have produced recently. This isn't in the dangerous portal, this is just a regular clan wars battle with items dropped turned on

I didn't once complain or act like I was sorry for myself. This is more just a post showing how you can turn this on the lurer and make a pretty hefty profit, my loss was minimal at best.

I've seen quite a few scams, both as a victim and a predator, this one is interesting though. I've seen two separate groups try and do this at clan wars over the past couple of weeks. The first time I was the victim, luckily I only lost about 7m and no Chaotic. They'll ask you to join a pretty small cc (maybe 2-4 members tops, all friends). They will start a war with another friend (only one opponent, but you aren't aware he is their friend). This particular guy was about level 115 with fury, bandos, claws, etc. You and the other 4 obviously kill him, he talks [cabbage] through the entire fight and asks for rm. The cc rematches him with items dropped, I walked in and assumed he would leave with 3 seconds left and if we were lucky he would stay and we would kill him. No surprise here he barrages and claw rushes as your team stands, watches and bids you "gf." Unfortunately I had no food and was not expecting a barrage, I probably still should have killed him but meh, not a huge deal. The team will also ask you if you have food, just say no and maybe throw in that your prayer is slow or something, kill him and you get a pretty easy 100m+ kill. --for the life of me I cannot remember the cc name, sorry

I'm assuming it will be cash buyable, not needing rares. From what I hear the drops aren't ultra rare. I think Jagex legitimately wants these armors to change combat, making them available to a larger population than say: divines/elys. I would most definitely wait at least a month or so however. I disagree- look at the requirements for this boss. It's all but required to have at least 8 people with 96 summoning, overloads, and spending 20k+ per kill in supplies EACH, wasting 25+ minutes in prep time and then 6+ minutes per kill, only to get 5 kills a trip. These are all people who could easily go to TDs and make 4m per hour instead of doing Nex, and after the novelty wears off a lot of them are going to do just that because Nex is so expensive and time consuming, and it won't be too long before it's difficult to get a team of qualified applicants together. With that kind of limited supply, these armors are ideal for hoarding. I've already seen a lot of people cashing in partyhats for the armor because they seem to think it's a better option than holding partyhats through free trade coming out. We could easily be looking at something similar to, but slighter cheaper than, the divine spirit shield with every piece of this armor. I wasn't aware of the difficulty of the preparation and time required, I was just going by how common the drops seem to be. If that's the case than this is yet another wasted opportunity for a more equal melee system (obviously not a more equal combat triangle.)

The supply is constant and low, yes, but that's only half of the equation. You have to have the other half, demand, if there is no reason to buy a certain rare it will never become extremely valuable. Before the ge eggs and disks were the lowest on the chain of rares. When free trade was taken away they skyrocketed because people dealing with more sought after rares needed them as bartering tokens, when free trade comes back disks and eggs will once again be useless and much cheaper than any other rare. Unless for some reason free trade gets taken away again there really is no reason why the lower rares will jump. Even in the days when there were very few valuable items outside of rares the lower rares were never highly sought after. Now we have skills worth pouring hundreds of millions into (Herblore, Prayer) and many expensive armors and weapons to choose from. There are too many other possibilities to use your money on. The only demand for the lower rares will be people only seeking to collect them.
