Bad/Good story

 

 

 

 

 

Well this happened a few days ago, it was a mixed day, alot of good things happened, only to be countered by a very "nooby" thing

 

 

 

Good: Got my first barrows item over 1m :thumbsup: Dharok GreatAxe

 

Good: Did some nooby 1-item pking with ell and we got full r00n from 1-iteming ftw!!!

 

Bad: (quite long) Well some of you may know unbeaten 1 (mmryk i think on tif.) when i was pking with ell, he pms me saying he is having a bank clearout and tells me to hurry up and i can have free stuff : So me and ell finish pking and i go meet him, in the bank i see a few tip.iters Kill Life being one (please tell me if i should blank your name) and unbeaten trades me and puts a load of stuff worth approx 200-250k, he accepts and i say thanks, earlier in the day i asked to buy r00n boots from his nech task and he says 130k, i put the money in and he just accepts :?:

 

I was confused so i decline, i say put in the b00ts, he says he sold them, i say ok bye, then he says i owe him 130k for all the stuff, i thought he was kidding so i starting laughing, he then starts saying, your going to scam me in front of all these tipiters? so i put it all back and he accepts. Then he starts calling me a noob scammer and removes me

Should I Quit?

 

 

 

Now there comes a time in most runescapers lives where they must decide whether or not to continue playing the game, a lot of the time there is a reason behind it, hacked? big scam? losing friends? and many more. I have come to this time, I am indeed only 13 years old but I have many friends in real life and on runescape, they are great trusting friends.

 

 

 

Reasons for quitting

 

 

 

Want to keep my social life alive

 

School is starting to become an issue

 

Want to focus more on my fitness (its fine but who knows, it could suddenly deteriorate!)

 

 

 

Reasons for staying

 

 

 

A hell of a lot of amazing friends on runescape

 

So many goals I have yet to accomplish

 

Runescape is a great game which I enjoy

 

 

 

So there are 3 reasons for both sides, if I do quit, it wont be because I dont like my rs friends, it will be because I like my real-life friends too much. If I dont quit I will most probably take a break coming on occasionally to check on friends etc.

Like he said. Dont let RS take you IRL things away. If you need to quit becuase its getting to adiction go ahead.

 

I play on nightes that most my other friends are busy.

 

And dont play to much, just like 4 hours a week, 6 hours at max.

P.S. Just play in 2 2 hours bunches. That way 30 mins wont strech to 4 hours.

I am still thinking, but I'm close to deciding to stay but play max of 1hr a school day

not an idea most people like, but maybe let one of your parents put a timer on your pc.. so you get about 1-2 hour to play on pc a day, and you cant play more this way you will have social live and all and runescape :)

Don't quit! Ready for a trilogy which you must read? Ok, here I go.

 

 

 

Runescape is a great place to purely relax and enjoy yourself while having the choice of when to play and when not to. It's easy to restrict play time by simply just having some simple plan whether it be on paper or in your head, have an hour or two of social time and homework etc., maybe a half hour of revision or whatever then you can come and delve into the friendship filled world of rs and tip.it. Remember, there's no reason for runescape to change your life. Me for instance, I fit in social time, 2 hours on the computer and over 2 hours exercise a day.

A good philosophy, I think it's brilliant, but if you have the right state of mind you can easily prevent rs being an issue to life at all, it's purely here for relaxtion and enjoyment. Especially when you're bored. :P

Just cut down on your playing time a bit. If you're like me and only stay because of your mates (face it the game can get dull and repetitive )

 

Just don't play as much you can have the best of both. You get to spend more time IRL - which is definitely more important - yet you still get to talk to mates on rs.

My Decision

 

 

 

After alot of advice from friends and tipiters, I have decided to stay : The main reason I am staying is to keep all my amazing friends and make many more, alot of my time will be spent doing more fun things which I never took the time to do such as : Working on my new pure ( L peekaye L ), Pking with my clan, Suicidal kbd/kq trips and just hanging around edge getting to know people so if you want, add me or my pure and we can chat and stuff, if your ever doing something lonely, i will usually not be doing anything so just pm me and ill join you, unless i cant do it :ohnoes:

 

 

 

So now I'm staying I would really like to thank a few special people who are my true friends

Gorgonzolach- One of my best runescape friends, he uses these forums but i dont think hes very active, he has always been an awesome help and somewhat of a role-model for me, he made me do skills when i wanted to do quests but it all payed off in the end- btw my cooking owns j00

 

 

 

 

 

Hellhound311- Another great Rs friend who i have known for a long time, we met back on karamaja as nubby level 50s (ish) and he had a rune heraldic shield and i randomly pmed him asking what herald it was :XD:

 

We both got members in the same week and although his combat is higher my skill total pwns him

 

 

 

 

 

Statisticly- Doesn't play as much any more, but he is always up for a laugh and is a great guy to be around, we met on my previous forums, hxf.

 

 

 

 

 

Gainmichael- Another wierd meeting, I added him 'cos he was Iding herbs for me and i kept him added 'cos i was a noob and he was awesome to me lol : He is always doing something which i can help with and i still remember the time he lost 100k or so iron when he lagged at black demons trying for 99 range and you said you were gna quit :uhh:

 

 

 

 

 

Arabic Vip-We met in fally mines and i was getting 50 mining for heroes, he was randomly walking around coincedently, looking for a heroes partner =P fate huh? Well anyway we got to the part where he ranges a guy and i get a key or something like that, well lets say arabic isnt a fan of ranging, his range was lvl 1!!! so he sat there firing broze arrows and it took so long lol but we got there, he didn't play for a while but as a true friend, i kept him added and he followed through and we pk in f2p alot now

 

 

 

 

 

Chelseaboy11- First tipiter i met, he is really funny and we have our moments of "screeniable material" he introduced me into some of his friends who I will come onto, but between me and you, i only added you because i thought you were gonna have a 99 cooking drop party lol! =P

 

 

 

 

 

Ell rules1- A friend of chelseaboy, really funny but has too many pures lol

 

he really helped me make my descision on staying he is a really boring person though.... just kiddin' =P

 

 

 

 

 

Il Robin IL- Another of chelseas/ells rl friends, he is pure and I helped him with DT- still not done kamil? =P so funny when he lost his cannon, hope not all pures are as cool as this or it wouldnt be special would it? =]

 

 

 

 

 

Errr Ok - We met a few places mainly catherby while he was showing off fishing sharks and i finally persuaded him to add me and we have been great mates since- hes had ups (cross-dress birthday) =P and downs (morphiar...) but in the end hes a mod and he rocks =D
